- A Human V Human battle against Paleolithic Monk from the Few Good Men Community.
This is a battle in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy which is one of a series of realistic tactical combat simulations from www.battlefront.... A wide variety of settings are available from world war 2 (Normandy, Market Garden, Sicily, Italy and the Eastern Front) to modern day fictional conflicts in Syria (Shock Force 2) and Ukraine (Black Sea)

Those pesky German Fusilier formations! I think you got the short end of the stick with the map here though: there's all that open ground in the centre and then the obvious, but unavoidable positions in the hedgerows on your right.
Monk put the pressure on from the start and never let off, he out thought me on force selection and his strategy

That was a hell of a (mortar) battle, I would not be on either side to receive that many shells I just have seen here.
Also, the Kübelwagen Crew on 20:32 was badass somehow, driving and shooting like in a gangster movie ;)
As a new follower without any multiplayer experience in that game, I would love to see some italian forces covered from you, as I am really curious what they bring to the table in forms of firepower and overall feeling.
This is why we (continue to) play Combat Mission.
I really hope for the best with your channel man, your content seems to have alot of effort put into it, makes me sad seeing how little traction your vids are getting. keep up the amazing work thank you for covering the older combat mission games aswell! im sick of seeing all these big youtubers just playing cmsf2 just because of the youtube algorithm showing its popular
Glad you enjoy the videos. It does take time but I enjoy doing it, plus I produce what I like to watch with a whisky ;). I still occasionally go back and watch my old videos to see what I like and don't. My reasons for doing the videos are probably different to some of the more commercial channels.

Yeah that off map arty and TRP investment countered by his Zerg rush was pretty much GG. With 4 TRPs, had you left even just one on the left bridge, could have been a different story.a
I think the terrain slightly favoured the Germans plus the 2 to 1 advantage in troops. Loses very similar.

hi mate, how do you actually buy this game? cannot find it anywhere via steam.
The Combat Mission series has only just recently started to be available on Steam but it's only the modern titles. The WWII titles can only be purchased via Battlefront at the moment. I've linked everything below, I hope it helps

Great video! I haven't played this in ages. Do you think this will run on Win 10 if I set it for Win 7 compatibility?
No news for any of that, it's still being updated and such, so it will run just fine on modern system. Also, CM shock force 2 just released on Steam!
As Sproge2142 mentions, all of the CMx2 are Win 10 compatible. You may need to patch to the latest to get the most out of any version you have now

I would like to know what what combination of sound mod you are using for artillery/small arms fire, your firefight sound way more epic than mine.
I use HQS, I think I'm on version 3.3. Version 3.0 is here (www.thefewgoodmen.com/cm-mod-warehouse/combat-mission-battle-for-normandy/cmbn-sound/hqs-3-0-cmbn-cmfi-cmrt-cmfb/) not sure where I got 3.3 from

Nice video, but would be better without the sound mod. Mortars don't make a bottle rocket whistling sound as they fall.
