www.thefewgood...
This battle uses the HQS 3.3 sound mod which can be found here - cmmodsiii.green...
Combat Mission Final Blitzkrieg is one of a series of realistic tactical combat simulations from www.battlefront.... A wide variety of settings are available from world war 2 (Normandy, Market Garden, Sicily, Italy and the Eastern Front) to modern day fictional conflicts in Syria (Shock Force) and Ukraine (Black Sea)
I have various videos of Combat Mission, please browse and I hope you find them interesting.
The video includes royalty free music from www.bensound.com
I genuinely thought it was all over for you halfway in, a great comeback!! MeatEtr is a very tough opponent, I've played him 3 times and lost each game.
You're one of the bests dude.
As many a football manager used to say when confronted by Motty, "Well, John. It was a game of two halves, and we won the half that mattered".
Great video... had a blast playing you! :)
Thanks for the match, good luck in the next one, kinda :)
Great battle Double, Cpl McEwan and his crew what a crazy bunch of heroes, after all their ledership fell, bailed or burned into their tank, they pushed on and saved the day.
after the match it seems I'd inflicted more damage on Jerry than I initially thought. This video is from the victor, as per history, the story can be just as interesting from the other side :)
I used to love playing this game and thoroughly enjoy watching these AARs. please keep them coming.
I'll do my best :)
Fun fact, the British did not field M4A4 Sherman tanks (the so called Sherman V) until Sicily, which was of course after the Tunisian campaign. Also, the Germans did not add Schürzen to their tanks until summer of 1943, which means also post-Tunisia. Entertaining video.
This is probably due to the fact that in the game you have to use the TOE available. However, if you change the dates, you can get some G models... then change the date back to whatever time you want to play as. I create a few scenarios, and editing is my thing.
@ Dave L no big deal, but if you research just a tad, you will find a lot of photo evidence of many Pz IV G's with Schurzen around the turrets in Tunisia. Just saying.
Nice viddy. Was surprised you left those Shermans sitting on the hilltop. That's just asking for trouble and you got it. However you recovered nicely, maneuvering the remaining M4 along the reverse slope to gain advantage of hulldown positions. Using infantry as bait for distraction the superior German Mk IVs fell victim one after the other.
A great demonstration of combined-arms tactics. Congratulations on the MV.
Great video, and turn around. I thought you were done for after you lost you Sherman! Thx for sharing this...
Glad you liked it, was a fun and challenging battle. Hat off to my opponent
"MacNamara is grazed!" -- awesome work on that video. Looking to turn into a fun little campaign. Look forward to the next video!! Brings it all to life!
Cpl McEwan deserves the VC for that
Always good to see well explained battles. A pleasure to watch.
Wow, what a comeback! Well played!
Excellent Double great game! Thanks for the movies you make.
God bless those brave infantry, providing distrations and selling their lives dearly for MacEwan.
Go Cpl McEwen! Fantastic use of armor and infantry and the lay of the land to turn it around. I did not expect that. Love your AARs.
wow this 5:00 moment was like something out of a movie :) Great video, keep up good work!
Glad you liked it, thanks for the feedback
Great video! Congratulations from Barcelona!!
Your CM video's are the best. What video card and video settings are you using, the depth of field is amazing?
I'm glad you like the video and thanks for the positive words. I have a GTX1070 but have tweaked the settings for CM a little. Anisotropic filtering: 16x (Crisper textures), Antialiasing - Mode: "Override any application setting", Antialiasing - Setting: 8x. I've also been learning about the best setting for RUclips videos, which will help a lot in the recent and future videos
@@MrSirDouble Thanks. I might get a new video card and try those settings. Good hunting.
Wonderful, I had fun watching.
Glad you enjoyed it
Question about the movement path or slight pauses your Sherman was making whilst on the hunt.
I assume it was a zigzag movement on normal or slow speed. If so, why do you do it that way? Or was it just the terrain?
This is more realistic then WOT!
Every single shot is calculated, including ricochets and shrapnel. The command structure is important and in WW2 theaters is realistically modelled for the different countries. The game has a steep learning curve and can be challenging at times, it's not always everyone's cup of tea because it does require quite a bit if investment to become victorious
Nice vid, what happened to that pesky bunker?
I covered it with smoke and dust for the last half of the match
Good strategy!
Mh... do you used any Mods for FI? The units looking very good. Better then the original units from Final Blitzkrieg.
Yes, I do. All the mods I use can be found here www.thefewgoodmen.com/cm-mod-warehouse/. I use HQS 3.3 for sound and mostly Aris for vehicles etc.
What would you say your favourite CMx2 game is? I have CMBN+CW, CMSF2+NATO, and CMBS already. I was thinking of getting the big bundle for CMFI.
I focus more on the WII theaters and I do like CMFI, it has challenging maps, some nice campaigns and the terrain is very different to CMBN, you can't go wrong if you go that route. The modern battles are brutal, a lot less forgiving of mistakes and Hapless has great videos on CMSF2. I've just started a CMBS HvH battle, first in a long while. If it's an interesting battle I'll put together a video, it'll be my first modern battle video 0.0 :)
@@MrSirDouble Ok, thanks, but what is your favourite?
If I have to call one out I'd go with CMBN because it has more content available, campaigns, scenarios and various Allied forces with the US, UK, Polish and Canadians. CMFI is a very close second.
@@MrSirDouble Yes maybe I will snag the CMFI bundle then. I did enjoy the demo. I'd like to get CMRT too, but I'll wait until the expansion is out and there's a package deal.
@@MrSirDouble Also, would you say that Market garden is worth getting for CMBN? Same with version 4.0. I'm still on version 3 and there doesn't seem to be enough in 4.0 to make it worthwhile.
Great video, but would be nicer with Eliminate the Red Cross mod, by Rambler.
Thanks for the feedback. It's something I've juggled with, when actually playing it's makes things very complicated, for videos' I like it but also struggle to see the wider picture at times. Josey Wales uses it well.
Why does the panzer IV penetrates the M4 at long range? That was not possible in real life
panzer IV version h was able to penetrate an armour-plating of 96 mm at a distance of 500 meters at 60°. hull armour / front m4 = 51 mm. in addition, the scenes shown in the video make it difficult to tell how far apart the two battle tanks are.
Man, every german 75 mm (and higher) gun was able to penetrate sherman even at long range. Sherman was a crap, but a lot of these tanks plus massive air and artillery support did the thing
Because it could penetrate the side of Sherman Hull at 1000m, and the turret side from 800m easily. Front, 600-800m the Sherman may be toast from the front depending on the angle of the Sherman. However, the Sherman could also Penetrate the Pz IV Side turret and hull easily from the same range, although would not be as accurate.
@@arquebusier1995 someone's never actually studied ww2 armor if you believe that
