This is a battle in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy, which is one of a series of realistic tactical combat simulations from www.battlefront.com. A wide variety of settings are available from world war 2 (Normandy, Market Garden, Sicily, Italy and the Eastern Front) to modern day fictional conflicts in Syria (Shock Force 2) and Ukraine (Black Sea)
I hope you enjoy the video, please don't forget to like and subscribe Игры
Hope everything is okay Double Vision, we miss your excellent videos!
Some day Double Vision will return...
Miss your AARs dude
I just realized this video was posted more than a year a go
Was really looking forward to continue the series :(
May he return safely.
Even if we never get any more of these I have to say the radio comms are outstanding. Absolute highlights of these videos.
Hi Dv, are you alright we don't have news about you for a year now. Are you good?
Hey man, I am a currently serving infanteer in the Royal Winnipeg Rifles and it’s really quite something to see a part of our history being displayed like this. Thanks for the video.
Hi Double. Just checking you're OK?
where are you?
To quote the imperial guard. "Tanks! Where are the bloody tanks?!" Looking forward to seeing this play out.
I hope you’re ok, it’s been a while.
A Tanker is never early or late, we arrive precisely when we intend to.
Cracking good video!
Hell's horses! That was one heck of a fight, seeing the troops push forward through all that arty and MG fire. Really was looking dicey, but those beautiful M4s.... man was that a game changer. Great stuff, really enjoyed this one.
I'm glad you enjoyed the video. The arrival of the M4's was a very welcome surprise I wasn't expecting
One of those voice actors sounds exactly like Rob from BritishMuzzleLoaders. Coincidently, that voice is exactly the voice I associate with what a Canadian soldier of the world wars would sound like. Credits say it's not him, but truly a fine example of a Canadian soldierly voice. Well to done to Double and the voices.
Oh yeah, that's the stuff I like.
Give it to me.
Man, movies like to do the whole "saved by armor" thing but it's never been more palpable a feeling than here.
Great videos, I hope to see anouther one someday.
Outstanding - tears actually came to my eyes when the Fort Garry’s showed up.
While i like the radio transmissions, the off-set to the right and its loudness compared to the other sounds is off-putting. I suggest maybe re-center the audio and add a text transcription for better understanding.
Thanks for the comment; the offset versus centre was a conscious decision, the thinking was that the offset represents the use of a handset for the infantry, whilst the tankers and aircrew have a headset, hence the centre. The text is an idea, I personally don't like text on screen, I find it distracting, perhaps I could add it within RUclips that can be turned off and on, I'll have to check
@@MrSirDouble I second the closed captions if it's not too troublesome.
@@MrSirDouble Hi, while it may be a though out decision, i personally believe that used for the entirety of the video is a bit tiring for the ear. But i can see its good use on certain situations.
Two words......absolutely brilliant
Bloody good stuff.
Any word on when we can expect the 4th installment? I'm getting withdrawal from massive-scale Combat Mission AARs
Loved it.
Another epic battle and video. Can’t beat a bit of Firefly sniping. Looking forward to the next, well done all
So immersive! excellent presentation of the game
Little feedback, AFAIK Danger Close is only used when mentioning friendly fire mission (if at all in WW2, I don't know). FE, enemy spotting rounds on 18:10.
Nice editing!
great vids keep up the awesome work
Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for the positive comment
@26:50 NOW WE TALKIN!!! I thought it was about to be over for a second there.
Glad you enjoyed this video, and I'm glad the M4's turned up when they did :)
That was fantastic! Loved it! My part was the best. Lt. Spronk forever :)
Nice job Double, I watched it with my son and he said, "It feels like a war movie."
Very cool!
I'm glad you enjoyed it, I think the series is coming along well & I'm looking forward to getting the scripts out for the next battle. We're back with the North Shores ;)
Brutal, and brilliant!
badass
Really like this series still need voice actors?
Stellar work, keep it up! Any large H2H operation coming?
Most of my H2H stuff is on pause at the moment, this campaign is taking most of my game time. Once this is done we'll see;)
I love your videos but the radio chatter is extremely loud compared to the in-game sounds (incl. your narrative) and also very off-putting.
Yes completely agree. Was hoping for a normal video. I do appreciate that he’s trying out new things though
Not a fan of the radio chatter I’m afraid. I find it horribly distracting. It sounds so fake. Missing your commentary and overview on the battle
Same hated the radio chatter.
I appreciate the radio chatter isn't to everyone's taste, some love it, some do not. I wanted to try something different to keep it interesting for myself as well as the audience. I will be doing further videos in the familiar style with just my commentary, plus I'd like to do some videos which are focused more on the how stuff happens, orders, movement types etc., rather than the narrative 'what happens' style. I hope you stick with the channel and thank yo for the comment
@@MrSirDouble no worries man. I appreciate that you are trying new things. Highly applaud the effort. I can’t even imagine the amount of work that goes into doing this. Honestly your videos really helped me get into this game and I’ve learnt a lot. Even here I watched the whole thing even though it wasn’t my cup of tea. Looking forward to your future content.
@@MrSirDouble For me, I think the radio chatter is pretty great. I don't find it too distracting and it humanizes the pixeltruppen enough that I kind of care for them. Only complaint I have is to have a bit more personal commentary as an overview since it's sometimes hard to understand the whole picture just by listening to the radio chatter.
