I'm a wanna be DIY painting person but the truth be told my wife says I should leave painting to professional like yourself. I do appreciate all your tips. In spite of my better half's opinion I think I've done pretty good using your tips 👍
Exceptionally well done. I'm painting a 2 storey house tomorrow. White on white, but my first time taking on such a big project. You make it look so easy and your explanations are crystal clear. Great video and all the edits are awesome. Thank you!
Thanks for giving me self-reliance. It's like you have bestowed a universe of freedom. You're just a painter with a RUclips channel and look how many lives you've impacted. Amazing.
I do some painting as a ministry (typically to people unable to pay a professional, I just wanted to say Thanks for your videos as they have been much help and secondly I appreciate that unlike most, you don't use profanity in your videos. God bless you and yours! Your a talented individual. .
interesting points ,if anyone else is searching for how do you keep a cat from spraying try Kiamiin Meow Genie (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? Ive heard some interesting things about it and my cousin got excellent success with it.
Paint life is my go to for instructions and tips every single freaken video is broke down so clearly and informative thank you so much for your time and videos if I lived in your area I would deffinatley need you to give me a fat stack of cards to pass out
Great advice! In our case we want to paint the board and batten on our house. Would you recommend spraying top to bottom (single story) to go with the natural lines from the trim so we don't get strips from going left to right ?
A 515 tip is overkill for spraying siding. A size 15 orifice will put out way more paint than you need. A 311 tip would be better imo. You'll use a lot less paint and have less heavy spots. You can easily put it on just as thick and have better control of the volume of paint you are putting out. Also, how is that wall not going to show flashing with all these separate sections done on separate parts of the siding? Surely with a white paint you are going to have some flashing. I typically keep a wet edge when spraying siding, and always try to paint from one section into the other in order to prevent this and have a more consistent finish.
Man you are good.I have learned a lot from you.i use you advice on my hard projects. I do mostly interior however I'm do a exterior (big)house very high Thanks
Thanks for the vid.. Do you recommend a specific paint to use on siding(I'd like to go a few shades darker but not much and I'm looking for something that won't heat up if they make it) siding was put on in '94.. Thanks
Thanks for ghis tip i have been searchinv for it cos i want to sgart a DIY for my 2 storey house nut i had no i dea where to start cos i wanted to do a spray lainting not brushes😂
I’ve learned a lot from your channel. Currently spraying my house. Do you always spray a second coat? And when you do spray a second coat do you spray the same direction as the first coat? Or do you spray side to side on the first coat and then top to bottom on the second coat? I’m done with the first coat and I’m worried about continuing to see my spray lines after the second coat.
Question. Chris, are you painting the window trim w/the house siding color THEN coming back and painting the trim boards the trim color after spraying or if the trim boards are going to be a like SG trim color, do you mask off the window trim boards before spraying? Thank you!!
Thank you. So no SG paint for any window trim? Is that by design, or weather, or something else. Your direction makes a lot of sense, I think I found I have some not so good painting habits. Thank you.putting all of us on the right painting path. ..
Chris are you still using rac x for siding or the Titan HEA? I used a 515 HEA but had not a even sheen and don’t know why maybe was the paint so dryer out that I need three coats to get a even sheen ? I don’t have lap marks just not 100 % even sheen or is that everywhere the same and im to picky ?
This was 4 years ago but a little flick as he stops the gun and changing the direction will help remove lines but this is primer it’s better not being so stiff with it
Can someone please explain why he said I get all my back rolling done first? I don't understand I thought by definition "back" rolling meant doing it after or behind spraying? Thanks
The purpose of backrolling is to get the paint into crevices and cracks that normally wouldn’t be able to with a sprayer. So it really doesn’t matter if you do it before or after the spraying. The reason behind doing it before spraying is so that it doesn’t leave any texture and it looks flawless and more uniform.
I'm trying to learn how to paint my aluminum siding. I find your videos very well done and plan on putting your tips to use. The only thing I want to say about your videos is when the sound switches from when you're talking and to say music, it's 10 times louder on the music. Hopenyoubhave fixed this.
Hi Chris. Thank you for all the videos. What is the best spraying system for the outside of the house (eaves) and wrought iron fence - HVLP vs Airless vs what? I also do woodworking so would want to be able to use for finishes.
Airless for the house and it can also do the iron but you would want a very tiny tip for that iron so your not wasting much. But the preferred sprayer for the iron would be a help with gravity feed, but really that would only be used on the final protective clear coat. But all ca n be done easily with a airless sprayer just use a small tip.

thanks for the video. I was wondering do you still spray horizontal if your siding grid runs vertical?
Have you used your hvlp sprayer to refinish tubs, countertops, etc? Thanks!
Just like thaaat 👌
Helpful tip, when wearing the respirator. Just wear it and dub over your voice when making the video. Your safe and information still comes across

Try a 517 HEA tip instead.
Paint Life TV ok I’ll try that today, why 517 ? Apply more paint to get the even finish ?
what paint should I use in the bathroom to stop mold ?

This was 4 years ago but a little flick as he stops the gun and changing the direction will help remove lines but this is primer it’s better not being so stiff with it
Hi Chris. I have badly glossed interior doors and just wanted to know how you would remove the gloss so I can paint them

Only one time doing correctly and overlapping 50% is enough?
Could you make a video to show how to paint exterior brick walls of a house with the paint sprayer? thanks
thank you!
Good stuff! Crack me up 3:17 stopping where? 😎😎😁
do you tint your primer?
Can someone please explain why he said I get all my back rolling done first? I don't understand I thought by definition "back" rolling meant doing it after or behind spraying? Thanks

Do I need to put on a primer coat first before I paint the house?
Not if it is already painted or pre-primed
You said," you already primed and back rolled," so Is the primer BROWN in color?

cool.
So how would you recommend to shoot a house that has very long walls? Like 90 or so?
Sprayer extensions, ladders
Is the respirator on your website too?
Yes
Why hold the gun sideways? Why not adjust the tip housing?
I like too
An extension causes spitting though. Wish someone had a solution for that other than starting and stopping away from the work area.
Finally, Good Video, Thanks,
Fist up, Fight for Truth.
