A lot. Red Dwarf needed Rimmer so Kryten started stealing Rimmer characteristics but Rimmer mixed up with Kryten inside Kryten is a toxic mixture. Kryten has gone insane.
Ruth Rene And Victoria Grace. Not quite correct. Both the Cat and kryten's appearance on Red Dwarf, was beyond Hollys control. The Cat was already on Red Dwarf albeit it took 3 million years to become what he is now. (holly had no control over him) (call it evolution if you will) (the Cat is A Cat) Kryten was found/rescued from the Nova 5, a crashed space ship, again Holly had no control over Kryten coming aboard Red Dwarf( not that holly would ever object anyway, It wasn't in the script) Rimmer's hologram however was generated by holly and as you correctly say, to keep Dave Lister sane. You should also remember that continuity is not one of Red Dwarf's strong points and why should it be? The best way to watch Red Dwarf is not to ask questions or try and make sense of it but merely watch what you see. Although it may help if you actually watched Red Dwarf from the beginning to part understand who is who and why. after that? who cares and what does it matter anyway?
Lets not forget the American Doctor Who "movie." Good doctor, decent companion, but such a horrible story that it killed the franchise for almost ten more years.
I hope that whoever came up with the Arnold Rimmer song got a bonus in their paycheck for such brilliance.
He/she did, but then Disney sued him/her and it ended up with even their distant ancestors owing millions.
Howard Goodall, does most of the music for Red Dwarf.
Howard Goodall usually just writes the music but clearly did singing duties here as well!

Such a long time ago.... yet still makes me feel as if I was a child again.
Classic theme. Was humming it to myself at work, nobody has a clue! I guess there is no explanation for it, they had to have been there to witness this great show.
Awesome.
I dont know why, but Listers face sets me off every time at 02:57 😂😂
He's trying so hard not to laugh.
can't believe how young craig charles looks here when was this from 1998?
12 years and in absolute hysterics!!
The one scene i am trying to find, is the complete scene to lister fighting the knight!
does anyone know where i can find it?
LISTER OF SMEG!
@@renlentlesstourist7574 - dailymotion has all of the episodes 🙌
You know not how long the arnold rimmer song has been stuck in my head.
It has been years since i last watched this show.
More reliable than a garden trimmer.....
Arnold Arnold Arnold Rimmer without him life would be much grimmer.
Victoria Grace, How much?
A lot. Red Dwarf needed Rimmer so Kryten started stealing Rimmer characteristics but Rimmer mixed up with Kryten inside Kryten is a toxic mixture. Kryten has gone insane.
Victoria Grace Well, that's true. Rimmer's sole purpose was to keep Lister sane. I guess that went for Kryten as well.
God this brings back memories from when i was a kid with my red dwarf tapes
Disney should watch this and say to the board.. "OK guys.. This is why we can't have spontaneous songs bursting out in Star Wars movies.."
This is something that only the British can get away with. That and Doctor Who.
+devospudc agreed that's why both pilots for Red Dwarf US failed well that and one of them made Cat female
Lets not forget the American Doctor Who "movie." Good doctor, decent companion, but such a horrible story that it killed the franchise for almost ten more years.
@@christianalanwilson434 Doctor Who is British
The Paul McGann tv movie was an American co production with the BBC.
As a result,it was Crap.
Hell, the even ruined the theme tune.
I also like how, as the ride nears the end they're all left screaming as the cart picks up speed and bursts through the doors!
