Dam this truck was so cold I had to subscribe!! Lol if I had this truck I would have 4 new baby mommas within a year!!
Damn 😂
Heavy
lmaoooo
That's a death machine if you don't know what you're doing I love it
Nah, I own a 90 OBS reg cab. Whatever you hit with one of these will be banished into the shadow realm. 👍
@@georgewashington7157 Back when the front bumper couldn't be broken down into small pieces that are flimsy and weigh nothing.
@@georgewashington7157a Kia turned into my old half ton, I knocked the engine out of the car
Dude that truck is clean af
Very Very nice. Epic build! I hope to one day do the same thing in an older model.
Love the work. Exhaust valves and motor work is great. Nice build.
Holy cow, kind of work looking with the bench seat, but that engine, exhaust and straight drive? freaking awesome
I had a 90' Silverado and now a 94' Yukon 2 door I'm working on
Bad ass truck man. That is really clean 👌
Nice truck 😍 fell in love with it
Yes this is what I been looking for
Beautiful 😍 truck man good job 👏 chevy for life 👏
Very cool, exactly the type of hotrod I want to make
That’s one bad ass truck 🔥🥵
In love with this setup
Love the setup
Badass Build Brother!
That is badass. I have a c1500 with a canned lq4 and a cd009 6 speed.
I was wondering what all you had to do to put the cd009 in,
I am looking to do the same, How do you like it? Any information would be awesome thank you
Excellent rig. I had a 91 w a 4.3. Absolutely indestructible
Sick Build Bro !!
Nice ride. She’s built for Speed. 👍😎
Wow very nice must be fast! If you can hookup! I owned a 93 C1500, I bought new, that was a loaded at that time called a Silverado Packaged Chevy C/1500, that was a beautiful light silver, with awesome grey velour type interior with separate high backed captains buckets with arm rests and huge console, both seat were power adjusted with power windows and locks, sliding rear window, automatic climate control, AM/FM Cassette w/Equalizer an built in CB. Had chrome bumpers, grill, door an tailgate handles and 15/9” chrome slotted steel wheels just like the 454SS. It came with a TBI 350, with a 5speed stick and a 3:42 posi. I ended up yanking the engine with only 38,000 miles, to sell to one of my brothers, who was rebuilding a sweat 1970 C/15 step side. That gave me the perfect opportunity to buy a GM Performance Crate engine, one of the new Vortec 5.7 LT engines, well built at a local machine shop with a nice torquer cam, headers and new HD clutch, with added traction bars, with lowering shackles in the rear leaving a slight rake. I also added some sweet adjustable KONI Sreet Shocks to hold everything down, with some trick looking Dunlap Sport Truck tires in a 275/50-15 front 305/40-15 rear. Man that was once sweet reg cab short bed! I had the speedometer buried on there more than once. I remember a local car club and Oldies Radio Station had organized an supported a local 1/4 mile drag race, at a closed local Naval Air Base in N. Kingston, R.I., to raise money for the on site Air Museum! Over $25,000 in one day! I was able to make three runs, one practice and elimination on my second run after that. My best time was 13.2@101 mph! I thought a beloved to this day was fantastic!! Considering I beat my first race, a sweet looking 78 Dodge Little Red Wagon! Only to loose to a 69 Dodge Super Bee!
Wow that’s a long read, very cool. Trucks best time at the track was a 10.99 and 129mph 1.66 60ft
Wow, awesome truck
Same setup I want!!! 2021 I’m coming!
such a down to earth car video. 0 bullshit involved
Awesome build dude.
Awesome work
Damnnnnnnnnn, your truck is amazing!!!!!!
Beautiful truck man.
Thanks!
What bad ass ride 😍😍
Can't hate. Nice truck
damn the room left in that engine bay is insane
Extremely clean OBS chevy truck. If you swap the bench for buckets and a center console you'd have my dream build
very nice short bed Cheyenne truck
Dream build right here
Cool truck!
Nice truck
Wow, now that’s a rig
That is one clean ass truck..... let me go find a C1500 I have extended cab K1500 rn
I done this 7 years ago. I have a heavy modded ls1 in it with a fully built t56 in the factory shifter hole.
How did you manage to use the factory shifter hole with the t56?
@@robertorivera3294 shifter relocation kit. It relocates to the front hole in transmission. I can't remember who makes it.
Right on!👌
Damn this thing is sick. Makes me want to build my 92 stepside into a little 300hp truck. It’s a 5 speed 4.3l right now. It’s a woods camper for long trips though. Just would be nice to have something that pulls just a little more lol.
I’ll imagine this would pull a little more a little faster lol
A 5.7 vortec with a cam, cai, and headers would probably be enough, more torque than an equivalent ls motor
A FBO 5.3 with the truck Norris cam and tbss intake manifold would make 300WHP and be very dailyable and would probably get better gas mileage than that boat anchor 4.3
Real nice.
Hey! Lovely truck!
You NEED the Chevy SS mirrors off the 454 truck. They are the smallest stock mirrors you can buy. Rather tasteful!
Now back to the vid!!
I have a pair, one day when I’m back to working on it again I’ll get them on there
@@boostandoctane6368
Hell yeah! That will make it perfect!!
And that’s a nice ride!! All in the details!!
Nice… I’d like to see one of it being driven and shifting trough all 6
1-2-3-4-5-6 🤔 go figure, that push button start sounds really good, lol just ribbing ya, sweet ride" congratulations! A lot of people call those... octopus mirrors? dog ears 🦗
Wow this is so clean I can only hope my Obs build will come out this clean!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🤙🏾
🤘
@@artysmotorsports I will definitely hit you for some guidance brother
@@relevantp.3186 What year is ur obs
@@artysmotorsports 96 it's just a Shell right now but it's a original V8 5speed truck
@@relevantp.3186 Awesome definitely keep it. I have a 6.0 to go in mine. Looking for a t56 to convert it also 👍
Sweet!!! stock looking sleeper truck will fool ya!!
OMG now that’s a true sleeper lol damn it boy
Very cool
My ceramic coated hooker headers rusted too. So I went with stainless headers.
Theses were real vechicles not the junk you buy in 2021 today
I’ve added a few more videos now if you guys want to check them out 👍🏼
That thing is fucking sweet

Sweet truck did you use a kit to change the stick position on the t56?
Badass f*ckn truck 👌👍👍👍
God bless America
Nice setup! Mudd flapps have to go!! Lol
They went lol
We need some shifting clips!
I’ve got one of me racing the Hellcat! Check it out
Dear Santa, I want this setup in my Avalanche! Amen. Please. And Thank you!
I've never even seen a steel cowl hood before.
Beautiful truck! I'm about to put a t56 tick trans. In my 90 454 SS.. question is that the stock location for that shifter on that trans?
T56 magnum has 3 different shifter positions so I was able to make it work
@@boostandoctane6368 beautiful truck man thank you for the info. I keep trying to find somebody that has one to see where the shifter is going to sit at. you know
wow now i need a project truck thanks🙄
Lol lots of work and lots of money
@@boostandoctane6368 how much time and money did all that take?
big boi clapping
This is exactly what I want to do with mine.
When u starting the conversion
Badass truck but whats with those front wheels???
Is the driveshaft the same the truck comes with or got it from the CtsV?
Where are you located you in California by chance wondering because of smog I'm in California amd trying to figure out what to swap into my truck thats a 98 c1500
All smiles over here dude. It sounds nasty.
I have a 91 stepside with Fiberglass bed cover, that is exactly what I am doing to mine... hope to finish soon... I will not have the cut-outs
I’m also looking to put a t56 in my 97. Did you have to cut the hole further back for the shifter to go thru?
Yeah I did. It’s a T56 magnum tho so the shifter location is much further forward then a conventional T56
Very nice sir, Are you using the stock clutch master cylinder and line going to the slave cylinder, I am going to a manual transmission and looking for information thank you
Factory master yes
@@boostandoctane6368 Awesome thank you, Are you happy with the transmission? Any issues with it?
How was the reverse lock out wired to that button on the shift knob
It’s just a power wire to the lockout on the trans. It’s grounded all the time. Power wire to the button and power from the bottom to the lockout
How much is that truck lowered? Looks like a 4/6 drop. Badass truck.
4/6 yep that’s right
the air bag name are called "drag bags".
What diff you using ? For all that power
The truck 8.5s are ok for a while.
It’s a 30 spline chromo 10 bolt. Has a torsion style locker and 4.10 gears
Does it have AC? I know some of these Cheyenne’s, including mine, came factory with no AC. If you or your friend added it, I’d like to know how y’all did it?
No AC on this build. Being Washington state it’s only really needed one or two months a year, anywhere in the south tho.. yeah ha
@@boostandoctane6368 Ah Washington state. That explains it. That is also where I bought mine from. Small world.
I'm getting ready to drop an LS3 and a T56 Magnum in my 1990 GMC C1500. Since you are using a T56 Magnum, can you tell me what shifter position you used to get your shifter where it is? Thanks!!
Forward most hole is what it was, but bucket seats you could definitely do the middle hole 👍🏼 congratulations!
Nice truck!!!
Will a ZF 6 speed manual from a 89 Corvette bolt On easily on my 95 obs manual also ???
Man I couldn’t tell ya, sorry
Probably with an adapter
I've got an 89 c1500 with the nv3500, theres nothing wrong with the transmission it just has high mileage, its sitting at 221k, so my question is is the t56 a direct swap in place of the nv3500 or will I need additional parts like a new driveshaft and what not
It’s pretty far from a direct swap.
Got a link where to purchase the rear wheels
Nice truck but never put bigger wheels in the front 💯
Okay so drag radials don't exist anymore....
Smaller tire sidewall translates into less tire flex and more responsive steering input, but also raising the likelyhood of loss of traction. This is the entire (performance based) reason that big rims come on preformance vehicle, its not purely aesthetic. Bigger tire sidewalls translate into more tire flex, and thus a larger contact patch on the pavement and better traction. It makes perfect sense from a preformance standpoint to have bigger wheels on the front of a RWD vehicle, especially a front heavy truck that needs extra help hooking the rear tires. You may not like the look personally, but these are the facts. On a truck, the offset in wheel diameter allows for both better traction to the power wheels and better responsiveness to the steering wheels.
Bad ass truck! But the Cadillac V-series badge does not belong, lol.
Well it does.. it has the engine and trans out of the car that badge came off of 😅 she lives on
He must watch cleetus McFarland
What rear gears are you running?
What’s the part number on the clutch master cylinder? And what year clutch pedal assembly do you have?
1990 C1500 clutch pedal and master
Man i wamt thay done got a parts. List
Did you switch to a mechanical clutch?
No it had a DYAD dual disc hydraulic from center force
Hey Bro, what área of Washington you are? I’m in tri cities
I’m near the water. Granite falls
IST T56 A TREMEC TRANSMISSION?
I READ A CTS V GOT A V8 MOTOR: SO THAT WHAT YUO PUT IN YOUR TRUCK? IF SO WHAT WAS IN IT BEFORE?
T56 magnum, it had a TBI 305 factory

It is a tremec T-56 magnum
Where can I find a seat like that?
Why’s the tach so delayed?
uh, is this a LSA or a LSX block with a LSA blower and port injection?
It’s a factory installed LSA out of a 2012 Cadillac CTS-V
What rear end are you running?
373 and then switch to 410. It’s a 30 spline chromo shafts with a torsion style posi
Why dont truck engine compartments look like this anymore

Factory gm ecu??.....nice job
It’s a GM ECU and wiring harness for the LSA as a crate motor
