- I finally decided to make a video about my truck. I am hoping this video will be helpful to some with similar projects, and inspirational for others to get started on one. Feel free to ask any questions!
Awesome build! I have an L33 I am slowly building and would love to put it a square body s10 and just enjoy it on the street. Looks like a blast!
Somebody said fuck that truck and chucked a can at you lmao. I have a Blazer I'm trying to get to your truck hopefully soon. Nice truck
They are just jealous
Also they are just democrats
I like your truck. Simple and straight forward. Don't care for the fuel tank in the bed but pretty small detail. Overall cool truck you did yourself dirt cheap - very nice.
This thing is bad ass. Best budget beater on you tube man. Hell yea
Great video and build. I like to see content from the real guys. It has a nice sound. Pulls great. Does it still have the stock rear end?
I've done quite a few s10 v8 swaps using the nv3500. With 350ish hp small blocks. They hold up as long as you don't run sticky tires.
I would like you to upload a video so we can see the clutch at the bottom, and does it rub against the oil pan?
Nice work, is that a six-oh? There a jelly bean S10 sitting in a yard near me that I'd like to do the same thing to. Greetings from Tacoma.
What is the type of clutch slave cylindrer and bearing ?
Nice
I have a 94 c1500 and it has the Same cracks on the dash 😂
I love this fucking truck
is this the stock 5 speed trans from the 2.8?
???
nv3500 5 speed was used in a lot of GM made trucks n such. For example my dad's 03 Dodge Dakota 3.9 V6 has a nv3500 Speed
From a 4.3, 5.0 or 5.7. The 2.8 or 2.2 nv3500 won't work.
No I have the same truck and am about to do v8 swap, the stock trans is a T5
You killed it with this video. Super informative and very clear. Keep making more content, Monte!
Did you record the build process?
Nice build, currently doing an 88 s15, what mounts did you use? I see you didn't have to use a smaller power steering pulley, i have to do all sorts of messing to make mine fit
Late, but might wanna check out Dirty Dingo. They make motor mounts for S10 trucks and S10 Blazers
Are you running a maf sensor? That thing scoots down the road...
Yeah I have the maf sensor mounted just after the filter so it's under the battery tray as well. Had to lengthen the wires for the connector to reach
@montehuseby1640 thank u. Once again that truck runs really good it seems.
You used the T5 that was with the 2.8? It is a 14 spline flywheel and clutch? It bolted up to the LS?
I'm asking because I have an 85 extended cab with the T5 and 2.8.. I am trying to figure out the best course of action.
No I sold the T5. I'm using an nv3500 which I'd definitely recommend if you're on a budget
@montehuseby1640 I know the nv3500 is a great budget, but how much hp/torque do you think it can handle.
What would be another 5 speed option be?
@@billcosby503Ar5 from a Colorado,canyon or solstice.
What rear end are you runnin?
Stock 3:73 7.5 10 bolt for now. It has taken a beating
Looks like you're in Washington State. Where did you get the ECU reprogrammed? I've got an S10 and an LS engine that need to be assembled and the Holley ECU system/harness are beyond the current budget situation, so a reprogrammed stock ECU would get the thing on the road quicker. A 4WD rearend would make the rear wheel spacers unnecessary as they are ~4 inches wider than the 2WD rearend. Also, most 1998 and up Blazers also have rear disc brakes> junkyard bonus.
You can use a Ford Explorer 8.8 it's a popular rear end swap and is stronger
I’ve talked to you on another video is there a way I can personally message you?
