Successful first start of my budget LS swap! Engine came out of a 2001 Yukon. Factory blazer NV3500 5 speed manual transmission. clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel for a 4.8/ 5 speed Silverado. extended throwout bearing, Holley 302-1 style oil pan, custom motor mounts, Chinese eBay shorty headers, wiring harness converted to standalone. @justabouthadit5872 it's more about common courtesy than safety. There's a time and a place for everything. Getting on the freeway on ramp, sure, floor it. But once you're around a bunch of traffic it's time to chill out. People are just trying to get where they need to go

3rd gear on MTX cars last from between 60-70MPH up till 95-110MPH

@@montehuseby1640 my understanding is that the 3500 will take some torque, but it's the RPM that ends up killing them... what RPMs are you turning? The truck sounds good brother

How is the nv35 holding up? You seem to drive *spirited* and it seems to hang in there. I ask cause I’ll be doing the same but in a 2nd gen.
@_bigpokie_ it has taken a surprising amount of abuse for coming out of a 250k+ mile truck. Lots of street and highway miles put on it as well. 3rd gear has been pretty crunchy for awhile, but it doesn't seem to be getting worse. You can kind of tell in the video
Bought a 1999 new and I still have it now. 4.3 5 speed, not a V8 but still fun to drive . Still does extreme burnouts!!💨

The shifter seems a little jerky with long throws, but that’s a small complaint in a video hat bringing tears to the eyes and a smile to the face.
That's it? That's how I did it with a 4.3. Embarrassing. Hell ive laid it down better than that In the 96 ss s10 I had with auto. S10 have the worst traction even with the limit slip garbage diff. Even the blazers couldn't hook up for nothing out back. Actually I take that back. I had a 02 dodge ram on 35s with a 318 n open diff. In auto. You could get on the freeway sideways doing 60 at will with a little flick. It needed the e brake trick anywhere that wasn't paved lol.
Look man, I'm a big fan of 4.3s, but no. This is a shitty cellphone video that makes it look slower than it is. It might only be a liter more displacement but it has almost double the power of a 4.3... there is good reason these swaps are so popular.
Wat engine is this? A 5.3 vortec or ls just wondering? I had a friend with a chevy luv had a hopped up 454 on a 4x4 blazer frame man that thing could move lol.

We had a Blazer S10 MY 1993 or 1994, 4.3 V6... What a beautiful car, same interior as this one and full leather. The most comfortable car I have ever driven. Brings me back to good times.

I had a v6 Honda accord ex-L coupe. I always loved getting on the highway.
I had a 5 speed S-10 but the 2.5liter iron duke never sounded or moved like that. Think I had the same Sony head unit though. Another big difference I just noticed, the glove box stay closed the whole time! That has to be an aftermarket upgrade
