    It was a lot easier to use the stock style internal hydraulic slave cylinder/throw out bearing for a nv3500 with the original quick connect line that came on the s10 running to the clutch master cylinder

    could have saved money. All 1996 and up GM truck manuals went to that internal slave. You could have looked up a 1996-2000 nv3500 from a 1500 truck or s10 and it would be the right part.

    Ok so I been looking for answers and nothing. I posted this question a couple weeks ago with no answers. Maybe you got an answer please!!! Here's my post.
    Ok I need someone that has experience with nv3500s bolted to an LS. I went NV and did all the measurements and got it within specs. Here are my measurements
    Release bearing to front of trans 3.8"
    Engine to fly 3.35" distance
    From my understanding spec needs to fall in line with .125"-0.2" (mid .1625) unless someone has a different spec please let me know.
    That being said 3.8-3.35=.45"
    So I take that .45"-.1625= .2875 ( I did minus .1625 to keep it somewhere in the middle of spec allowed)
    I got a 10 pack of .05 spacers so I decided .1625/.05=5.75spacers
    I put in 6 spacers times .05=.3"
    So if my math is correct I take .45"-.3"=.15 and puts me in between the .125"-.2" range.
    For all you who followed the math so far and not racking there brain I put the trans on and when I did I feel like when pushing it on to the engine I can feel the tranny spring back like if the release bearing is to far forward. I ended up pushing it on and bolting it up. I pressure bled the system and the tranny won't go into any gear at all. I have been told two different things from friends, one person said to many spacers that tranny is should go in easily and not feel a push back at all and could be binding. Another person I spoke to said if the release bearing was to far forward than it would be engaged the entire time and go in to gear.
    Any advice welcome please!

      Far be it from me to praise a slushbox, but a 4L60E is rated at 360 foot pounds of torque, the NV3500 tops out at 300 foot pounds..
      You can take the slushbox to a trans builder and have it modded for serious power...not so much the NV3500.

  • @estewar03
    @estewar03 Год назад

    Someone HELP me out here @ 3:05 clearly the diameter of the hole in the flywheel is substantially larger than the pilot bearing, isn't the Pilot bearing supposed to fit in the flywheel? I'm running into this exact issue right now, doing the clutch on my '07 Fit sport (usdm), ordered a LUK clutch kit & a lightweight flywheel. Compared them & the flywheel center hole is exactly as pictured on Bravus' set up here, the pilot bearing is way smaller.
