  • Finally swapped from my nv3500 5spd to a t56 with a mid shift kit and ls7 clutch
Currently waiting on a new driveshaft before I can really drive it hard but wow what a night and day difference between the 2 transmissions

Good stuff man! t56 is always a dream.
    Also, was the killmat worth? I have a 97 s10 with a 5.3/nv3500

I thought it was worth it for the sound deadness and keeping heat out some
It’s a little work but not very expensive

whats up bro,i bought a brand new black extended cab s10 in 96 then had air ride put on it in 97 i ordered the truck new with a 5 speed in 1998 i put a LT1 from a camaro in it with 356 gears with the 5 speed and it was fast as hell,i used to smoke mustangs, camaro's ss impalas everything but not from a dead stop cause i could spin in gears up to 4th on some occasions in 2019 i decided to do it again i got a 05 2 door blazer 5 speed i bought a 6.0 and swapped cams and had a guy take out the v6 and just sit the 6.0 in it for me and then i did every nut, bolt, wire etc,i put a T56 on it and had to shorten the drive shaft, for reverse i hooked up a hidden toggle switch my shifter knob is blank so if someone gets in it to go in rev haha good luck,i then saved and got a torqstorm supercharger after that i didnt want to go too much more because im sick of working on cars haha i dont want to break things but with stock ls3 injectors im at 640 torque to the tires i kept shifting early at like 5100 rpms with my tuner riding with me .with 373 gears like you,i do have a set of 430 gears but i dont know, like i said im tired i did everything right all new parts,i put over a hundred lbs of deadener in it for my stereo plus i remember how loud and hot my s10 was,i installed caltracs which are nice it handles great, beltec 2 inch lowering kit so it has a nice rake stance to it,2 inch cowl,i put a ls3 intake so it would fit so i have super cold ac and hot heater so its loaded, its really quiet inside if i drive normal ,you can talk at a normal level but when i get pissed driving oh god its loud,it gets a ton of attention especially when the bov goes off,i got the exhaust as quiet as i could with a 18 inch magnaflow like you im using stock clutch master cylinder and stuff,my cliutch kit is a luk kit for a 99 trans am or camaro,i have a short throw shifter i forgot the name but it was what everyone said was the best on the ls forum, its black and gold i think it starts with a M, but yea anyways it is a lot of fun to drive,i do have a old 95 z71 i drive mostly it has a automatic so i can just climb up in it and point and go,9 inch lift haha had it for 24 yrs well have fun bro, later

Yea I wish I hadn’t waited all these years to build this one
It was truly a missed opportunity that gm didn’t build a ls blazer or s10

That was cool takin' a ride with ya, man.
I've got an nv3500 (that's treated me pretty ok) behind a turbo 4.3. However, I've got a 5.3 and a t-56 in the garage that I sorta came by, just sitting there. Deciding if it's going in my current vehicle or if I will also buy another. Anyways, keep posting!!

      Thanks
I can’t talk too much bad about the nv3500
It done me right for 2yrs untill I could afford a t56 and I’ll be honest if it would have made the 2-3 shift @ 6500 I would have prolly kept it longer but all my buddies are out racing and having fun on the streets and it got to me some lol
I’m still fighting some major problems though with driveline angle because the t56 was longer and made my front u joint even further off so I got to either come up with a fix or raise the truck back up some and I really like my current stance a lot 😂
