I like what you done, I have a 99-00 Escalade, would it be possible to do that swap, using my trans also, is the same old engine vortex ? Like the Tahoe and yukons I’m trying to be different, my engine bay is same as yours
Input shafts are different length on the 4l60e's from sbc to ls so you'll want to swap trans aswell guys claim to use there sbc 4l60e's but your playing a dangerous game as the converter won't sit in pump properly some guys claim no problems but I would risk it. Plus your caddy will be the 4l65 it's the same as a 4l60 but you will have the upgraded 5 pinion planet 😎
when Freon goes from high pressure to low pressure it gets cold. First make sure your system has no leaks. After make sure your compressor is compressing safely. May need gauges to monitor both high and low side. If you're running orifice tube they're easy to clog otherwise check your expansion valve. With correct pre4ssures I don't see why you shouldn't have cold ac. There might be a thermo sensor on the compressor inline the clutch power wire, that could open the circuit if faulty.

I guess the only thing that change on those trucks was the body front end and the fender flare trim, I know some tahoes obs are 1500 can you help me
the tahoe and escalades are identical aside from some trim. these trucks are very simple to work on and thankfully parts are everywhere

Thank you and yes they are identical, just different fenders and grill. I actually had plans to put your style on my Tahoe but went with the SS style.

Definitely don't need the spacer, just buy the 4l80 flex plate
If the obs is 1997 came with a 4l60 oready do you still need the spacer ??
So, im having hell getting my ac to work. Bp harness, dual electric fans. Im being told i need a pressure transfucer welded into the "high side" line🤷

because a 95 is a TBI setup not a Vortec
