- We install a brand new Core Shifter Base assembly and a HURST stick with a 32% less throw into my buddies clean 1996 Chevy C1500 with a V8 305 and an NV3500 5 speed transmission. 2wd single cab.

Extremely Clean truck man, I have a 96 power windows, leather interior, and carpet. 5.7 vortec with the 5 speed. Great addition. Thanks for the video man just what I was looking for.

Does it matter what gear is in? I just did this and now my reverse don’t work

What manual transmission and differential oil does it take? I have a Chevrolet Cheyenne pickup year 1995, 305 tbi 5.0-liter 8-cylinder engine, 238 thousand kilometers and I don't have the vehicle manual, they are the same models from 1988 to 1995
It’s the nv3500 transmission. Not sure on the diff oil
I am looking to replace the shifter or shift knob on my 1995 chevrolet 1500 5 speed and I was wondering if the original shift knob comes off. Do you know?
I am not sure. From what I can remember I don’t think it did but I honestly can’t remember.

Havnt put it to the test yet. It’s a summer truck and right there is about a foot of snow on the ground haha. Will let you know.

@@8michael7 yeah that what I thought but I can't find one on the enternet anywhere ,my brother had one that my dad passed down to him when he died and someone took it and messed it up pretty bad for him just wanted to try and get him another one cuz he's always going on about how he wish he had him one .
