That 500-600hp range is true, we usto run a LQ9 with a torquer V2 and a 200shot and it definitely held it’s own.. took down a bunch of cars including a hellcat and GTR
11:25 that's not a part number, that's the type of plastic. Pa66 is the plastic gf50 indicates it's reinforced with 50% glass fiber

@@justinjolly8385I got my 93 Silverado when I was 13. It’s already got a five speed but the v6 is shot so I’m about to put a 5.3 in it. This video covers basically everything you guys need to know, the only thing he or I may have missed is that there’s two types of both the clutch release bearing and the pilot bearings. There’s an old and new style and they depend on the length of the input shaft of you transmission as there is an old and new nv3500.

The 5.3L is estimated to be around 383 ft.-lbs. of torque with the NV3500 rated to handle up to 300ft.-lbs. of torque. That's why they weren't offered for engines bigger than 4.8L, estimated to be between 255 ft.-lbs.(Older) and 295 ft.-lbs.(Newer), {1999-2006 engines}.

Pffft my 4.8 228r cam 200shot didn’t kill that trans but it did take about 30+ pulls with the lq9 torquer v2 cam with a 200shot to kill the guts on that same trans

I'm working on a 89 Chevy c1500 for my dad. It had a 5.0 in the truck with an automatic transmission. I just put a 350 crate with it all hooked up and I put Saginaw 3 speed behind the motor. I'm having an issue with the fuel pump not working now. I'm thinking it's because the old transmission wires are a post to be in the sensors. I was wondering if I could hook up the old sensors and put the the switch in neutral position. Would this work for the fuel issue or does the connections with the transmission's sensors have nothing to do with the fuel issue.

Hey man was there a spacer behind automatic flexplate between the crank an flexplate that has to cum out before clutch installs
Great info. Thanks man. I have a nv3500 behind a blueprint engines 400sbc around 500hp in my 1 ton 49 dodge. Had it that way for years now and no problem. I drive fairly gentle but still floor it sometimes just don't launch harder pop the clutch.

Hey could you do this on a 93 Chevy 1500 extended cab I’m thinking of buying one because it’s hard to find now a days that came from the factory like that and I’ve seen many people do these swaps but they start up with no clutch and I want it to start with clutch it would help me a lot

you will need to tune your computer because throttle wont response right because transission is programed in computer , buddy of mine had a ls manual swap truck before the tune it was slow to pass cars on hyway and after it was like if it was from factory

@@miwimath8836 had to get it tuned and 99-06 clutch system with a cross member from a 99-06 that had a 5 speed and it should all match

Bought a 1997 Chevy K1500 with a manual swap in it and am having issues with reverse lights not working and headlights only working in daytime runnning mode when ebrake is released but headlights turn off when light switch is turned to on position. So no brights ! Old owner added an LED bar to the brush guard to rectify this problem! Any ideas how tp fix this !!

I have a 2000 Silverado that came stock with a 4.3 and nv3500. My donor truck is an 01 Silverado 5.3 with 4L60-E 4x4. I'm using the motor harness from the donor truck. Did you run into any wiring issues? I haven't had the time to compare the harness to the nv3500 to ensure it will fit.
I had to cut one sensor off the manual trans harness and splice it into the swap auto harness. Pretty sure it was the reverse light switch. Plugs into nv3500

Need a hand bought a 1996 Chevy 1500 it was swapped to a manual it drove when I got it replaced the engine 350 same that was in it it came out of a 1996 Chevy suburban but now I'm not getting spark went through fuses but not getting enough power to the sensors or ignition coil kinda stumped the wiring from the auto is still there just hung up outta the way
As I'm sure the good old GM engine light will come on, understanding that if you even fart in the driver's seat the engine light comes on when it comes to the 07 through 13 GM half tons.
So you dont have to mess with the electrical on the harness ?

This is awesome! i got a 2500HD silverado with the 6.0, And the guy before me ran the tranny without fluid...Burnt the transmission up, wanted to do a Manual swap! I was curios, Do they have any Manuals with a 6 speed?
Look at a t56 or tr6060 nit sure on if the shifter will line up but they will bolt to the 6.0
hey i did the swap with the same parts and can't put the truck into gear the trans came out of a truck with early a long crank 4.8 not sure if that has anything to do with it

I really need your advice about something on a swap like this I have a 1965 chevy custom with a manual 4 speed it was bolted up to a 305 small block I want to take that transmission out and put it in my 2003 chevy silverado 2WD club cab it has a 4.8 vortec V8 and I would like to know if that transmission will work in the 2003 chevy and possibly keep the manual clutch setup with the linkage system setup but i have no idea if the newer engines like the 4.8 vortec has a threaded hole in the block to thread in the clutch linkage pivotal bolt because I really don't like hydraulic clutch systems not only that what would I also need to do in order to install the clutch pedal when it comes to a manual clutch setup because it would also save a lot of time and hassle of changing the mastercylinder and who knows what all else if I can stay with the manual clutch setup but I would really like to hear your opinion and thoughts on the matter
I got a 94 k1500 and I'm swapping to a nv3500. Would you suggest swapping the ecm as well? Not sure if the motor will run right using the stock ecm meant for an automatic trans.

I'm doing this to my 2500 and I just got my nv4500 bolted to my 6.0l LS and took the manual computer and put it on but it won't start so do I need to cut the auto trans plugs to rewire the neutral safety switch and get this thing goin
I know this video is about a year old but I'm doing this swap with a 4x4....it's all installed and the truck is finished, but it will not start now, at first it was just not cranking, found the neutral safety switch wires underneath and jumped them together, it now cranks, will fire up for a second then die and not start back at all for a few minutes, but will do the same thing....am I missing something?
sorry i dont have an answer for ya but im hoping to swap my 5.3 4x4 ext cab. what transmission did you swap in and were there any fitment issues caused by the 4x4. also curious about your particular issue so if you find a solution id like to know.
The light duty nv3500 has a close gear ratio and the full size is a wide ratio the wide ratio is 4.02 1st and the close is 3.49 1st

im converting my 98 silverado to manual(muncie 4 speed) from what ive been told the tranny has a stand alone computer so im going to try it withouf any computer programming.

What if you have four-wheel-drive is there anything else change?
I just did this swap, the transfer case was a huge pain! You need to change the input shaft to a 32 spline and MAKE an adapter to make up for the short input shaft. I was unable to find an adapter or a np241 trans case. Maybe you will, but keep that in mind. Overall a relatively easy swap.
