Installing a 5/7 drop onto a '98 Silverado (same basic process as 4/6), as well as brakes and 18" American Racing Torq Thrust wheels. - Авто/Мото
Love the way these are being filmed, all the little mechanic's tricks like putting tension on that ball joint to take the nut off, and the pulling the cotter pin out are things that other videos don't share. Those are the things that you learn from years of being a mechanic and working on cars without realizing it. New comers will appreciate all the tricks you share from years of experience.
Thanks for the video boys! Helped me a ton in dropping my obs chevy. Good tips and tricks!
I have the same exact truck same year and color it came with a 4/6 drop had 150k miles best truck I have ever had love it and runs good
That actually looks pretty clean 👍
Thanks for sharing. You made is easy to understand the process. Take Care!!!
Perfect stance I love it.
Nice work guys! 🇨🇦
Looks badass 🔥🔥
What size tire are you running on those 18’s
Beautiful truck.! 👌🔥
I have a 1977 P-20 step van lowered by cutting one ring in front of the spring and took the overload springs out and kept the regular leif pack and put air shocks front and back! My question to you is do they make a 5 lug pattern swap for front on back? I did buy a 6 bolt disc brake setup from a newer truck but was looking to see if there was a swap kit for the front in order to bag it?Thanks Guys,Mike
Whats the tire size. Ie got an 88 OBS and im not sure what wheel size and tire size I want to run. I put 2in shackles in the rear but i may go lower. Im fixing to build a 4.8 vortec motor to put in the truck. Im also changing the grille. Possibly a roll pan and doing the tailgate handle flip
I thought that was the C10 kid. Bring the channel back c10 kid!
Super Clean!! Love the drop and the kit makes everything pretty straight forward.

Clean work guys!!! I
Did you have any problems with pinion angle?
What do you recommend on this....
**97 Sierra single cab long bed V6 about to be 350 with 5speed manual**.
I want to add add-a-leafs to my suspension and then lower it. Why? Because it's a work truck so I want to have added load capability of the leafs but be able to lower it....if possible.
I order 15x10 (3in backspacing (-63mm)) with 275/60r15.
I want to have a nice lowered, not slammed, stance. Fender flares will be ordered once I see how the wheels fit.
Is it possible to lower after installing add-a-leafs?
That looks pretty sick. Can you share the wheel and tire size please? I doubt that I would add that brake kit to my truck but It would be nice to know if it effected the wheel offset.
There's a link in the description with the complete build bro 🤜🏽🤛🏽
What size are you running on those 18's
Tell the c10 kid to start making videos again lol I was wondering what happen to him.
Fantastic! Show, São Paulo Brazil.
What size tires back side ?
What size of whells?
I can use factory control arms for drop spindles?
nice work can i put s10 springs on 1995 chevrolet to lower the front
Just once I would like to work on a ride as clean as this one. All the rides I work on are rusty and muddy.
Fucking awesome video again. Got a question - how does the belltech 4/6 drop go? In other words same steps as this video?
Belltech shocks are ok, since it’s owned by KW idk why they don’t make a stiffer mono tube shock for us street truck enthusiasts that like lowering our trucks.
Where can I find this set up can’t find page
Hey was ' nt that a cameo from the C10 kid ✌
I appreciate you list the info on the build..but didn't list wheel backspacing
Very informative video. Consider adding light so everything is easier seen. It’s dark under there!
Could you do this to a c2500 obs truck with the same kit?
Am I going to run into issues running this kit with a Turbo400 swapped transmission and shorter driveshaft?
Love the obs videos.
All I watch is obs builds and other years cuz there is ts enough obs videos if there is a obs video I don't care what it is I'm watching it
Did you use any shims in the front for alignment on a single cab 96 gmc on 5 inch drop
Aahsome classic luv the the drop😎🙏 ready to cruise ❤ bow tie 4life
Did you have to notch the bed we’re it sits on the cnotch on the frame ?
bruh, much needed video lol
Will this same kit work on my 93' 2 door yukon?
Wish you had a before image side by side.
What rims are those?
Where do you order parts
Ok where are you guys so you guys can drop my truck??
Thanks! 😊
Very nice 👌don't froget the extra bolt on the shock extenders or they will eventually flex.

Were can I get 3 inch drop spindles for my 94 Silverado 1500? The only ones I've been able to find is 2 inch.
Nobody makes one unfortunately. Just the 2".
Do you need to cut the bed to fit where the c notch bracket goes above the frame?
You can, yes... we have done it both ways.
Can you do the 13inch brake kit without the drop spindle
Yes you can, you'll just need larger wheels to clear them.
What size wheels are those and make. I want those for my truck.
hey bro, the wheels are called torque thrust 2s and the brand is american racing wheels, check out there web site, im guessing the sizes are 18 x 8 in the front and 18 x 10 in the back, hope that helps, i have some of these on my obs
Is that color pewter grey?
Have 2000 chevy express 1500 what do u recommend
do you have to cut the bed?
How much it cost a full kit like that one ??? Brakes and lowering kit…. I have a 95 GMC Sierra step side bed…
Can you please let me know wats the exactly wats yhe wheel set up and tires for the fronts and rears please i love the stand of this truck

I'm doin a Belltech 4/6 kit on a 91 I just bought. On the reg. cab trucks, do u still install the transmission tailshaft spacers or is that for ext. cabs only? I know the carrier bearing spacer is only for ext. cabs, but wasn't sure on the trans. tailshaft spacers. Thanks.
Leave driveline as is, and we leave them un touched on regular cabs.
@@AZProPerformance thanks man
@@AZProPerformance what size tire are you running on these 18” wheels
Wish mine was that low/stance. 😕 hopefully soon.
Easy when you have a nice air conditioned shop with every tool you can imagine.
Unfortunately it's not AC, but wish it was! We did this with tools that most car guys would have in their garage as well, minus the lift. With that said, I have done numerous in my own garage over the years just as easily.
Nice
Is it true belltech spindles make front wheels stick out 1/2 inch?? Nice truck🤙
Thanks! Yep, they sure do push the wheel out 1/2", which is why we use these spindles now.

Only rear, fronts get removed.
How much is the kit complete
Are the rims 18x9?
Do you know if there’s anyone who does this type of work in NYC if so lmk please 👍I have a Chevy 1998 that I want to lower
how long is that bed?
Do they make a kit that can fit 15×10 wheels?
You can do 15x10 wheels on the back with this kit.
I bought my 91 chevy already dropped. It has a 4/6 djm kit but instead of drop spindles it has 2" lower control arms. Is there a benefit to changing the spindle vs the control arms?
Control arms are better in my opinion because in most cases it keeps stock geometry.
@@scottydoesntknow254 i agree keep em the spindles limit travel in my opinion vs stock ones.
Can I run 454ss wheels (15s) with this break kit???
No, the 13" kit requires 18" wheels or larger. Only stock brakes will work in the 15" wheels.
What size tires are on this truck?
245/40 and a 275/40
How can I just drop the front 2 inches. I have an 02 Chevy Silverado

No spacer on top.
Ok thanks for the reply, and Happy Holidays!
Does it bottom out ?
Using the BellTech notch on a 7" drop, it can bottom out at times on large bumps. However, we have developed an under bed step notch to help with this a lot and add 2" additional travel. We also combine that with a drop kit too or available by itself.

Hello!

Will this work on any chevy year?
Everything i bought from belltech for my truck (hangars/brackets) were a disaster. Not a single bolt hole was correct and 3 bracket sets the spring wouldn't even go into the pocket.... we had to use 2 sets to make 1 that we still had to open holes up to get in place. Pinion hardware broke while suspension settled and had to immediately get a parts store setup. Belltech's response..."nothing we can do" jegs made it right and billed them for lift time for all the mess I had to go thru. Belltech is a joke that makes parts out of the country and doesn't quality check.
Damn, I thought they were some of the better parts. Luckily DJM is like 30 min from me, I’ll go that route.
What is thw website for jegs i wanto to order my drop too
drop spindles and lowering blocks is all you really needed --
lol... Glad you have the secret parts list for a 5/7 drop. Good luck getting a 5/7 drop out of your spindles and block.
putting blocks in the rear of a truck with the axle on top of the leafs will lift the truck, not lower it.
