GM knocked it out of the park with the OBS trucks... I got a 1998 and let me tell you every time i see another one lowered or cruising. makes me happy to see it. Your truck came out fantastic!!
Exactly what i was looking for! Your video makes it look super easy and boosted my confidence to getter done! Great editing. Any engine R/R videos coming (on the same year truck, for those of us with rod knocks)? If you do one, the same way you did this one, it's SURE to be a hit! Thank you & Keep on Truckin'!
I have a 2001 f350 super duty in going to do this to. I can't find any done. Thank you for the video. I'm going to still haul and tow. Basically I'll weld and reinforce everything. Should be good ?
Great job at making this video I have followed it step by step. I do have a question, you put the shackle bolt on the first hole , after explaining this would result in a 5/8 drop, but I thought you had a 5/7 drop. And by any chance do you have the part number for the shackle you used ? Thank you!
Great work and looks good but it too low in my opinion. I bet the Trans cross memeber and the gas tank are 1"s from the ground. You should do air ride suspension if you want to go this low... even if its just on the front. Drop it down when you park and or driving on even pavement and raise it up when you need to get over speed bumps, and or pull it into uneven driveways, etc.
It is too low, needs to be about 1@ higher front and rear, the frame is actually 6” from ground but the wheels run when you hit a bump so it does need raised
cool i believe i found my kit but i noticed it doesnt come with any u bolts for that rear end and u didnt use any new ones either correct? so its safe to say i can use the ones that are already on the truck?
20x10.5 on back and 20x9.5 on front. I am watching the entire Playlist now, and I've just watched the video of the wheel specs. The wheels are the US Mag U120 wheels.
Nice build. My big question is now that you have installed both kits, is there a big difference in ride quality? Also, do you think it would make a difference if you were doing a lesser lift such as a 2/4. Do you think the shocks make a big difference with the expensive kit? Thanks again for the comparison videos.
I was reading some of the comments and someone asked if you had to roll your fender and you said yes and when watching another one of your videos about the wheels you mentioned you could do a 20×9.5 or 20×10 and be fine. So my question and I'm sure the answer is yes but still want to ask does the drop play a big part in making that decision? I'm looking to get 20×9.5 front and 20×10 rear weld wheels but they dont have a 10 it jumps straight to a 10.5 unless I go 19s they do have a 10 in 19s but if I'm gonna spend the money I want to spend it on something I want. I really want to avoid rolling the lip it's not a big deal but if I can avoid making alterations it would be nice. The truck was already lowered when I purchased it it's like a 3/5 drop
Good thanks for asking! I did have to roll my lip, I put a piece of pipe in between the tire and fender and as I drove it back I had a buddy hold the pipe in place back and fourth til it was rolled nicely
@@BuySellTrade-g7i was over the weekend, went up to get parts for a mustang, I’m in Tennessee. And I charged the guy 1k to do kit but I welded and bolted his C notch so he could still use his truck to tow

These trucks are very popular now, it’s nice to see one that’s not overdone but just subtle changes to give it that cool look
Amazing video, got a bonus on shooks, brakes, ball joints along with everything else. Thank you!
Great video man! Super straight forward and to the point. Thanks for the step by step explanation. Truck looks great. Subscribed! 😎

I’d bolt it then weld it so it’s strong bit if it’s a gooseneck it won’t put as much strain on the rear of the frame
@@1194video thank you 😊
Great video, and very detailed. Why did you put the bolt on the last hole on the shackle of your doing a 5/7 drop, would this make it a 5/8?
I changed it later, just wanted to go as low as it offered first to see where it sat
So you didn’t put the rear socks back on ?
I used the lowering shocks
is the kit still holding up well? what tire size are you running?
Still going strong in the guy that has it now. And it was staggered but I do t remember the tire size

I do t have any info anymore it’s been so long on this one, I just went to eBay and looked the kit up and found it though
Want to to do that but what about tue leaf springs
Still need to do c notch even with leaf drop

Sick looking truck man, did have to notch the bed support an notch for the pumpkin
I did, notch over center chunk and above the c notch
We do need to see some more destruction from Tennessee Toy Tester though !!!!
What tire size did you have in the front?
@@rickyron5806 it’s been so long ago I dont remember
Can you send me a link for my 94 1500 single cab ?
Just go to eBay and look up the 5/7 kit and they have lots to choose from but measure your front rotor width before ordering, mine were 1” wide

what is the specs on the wheels? what is the backspacing

What size of tires in front and rear
I can’t remember the size, it’s been awhile since I had that truck, they sidewalk was 30 front though and 40 rear but I can’t remember width
16
I like your videos can you please send me the link where you bought the lowering kits front and back please and thank you
Which one? The eBay kit has to have info on rotor size either 1” or 1.25 v6 or v8 doesn’t matter but I thought I added the link in the description

I have been looking for what hangers & shocks to use for a 5/7 drop any recommendations?
Did you weld notch to frame?
On this one I only bolted but on the frame off build I welded sold and bolted
Great video.
What is the offset of your wheels great Fitment
Honestly I can’t even remember the offset, I know that they were a kit wheel and tire package specifically for 78-98 gmc and Silverado 5 lug
What size of wheels and tires are you using ?
20x 9.5 front and 20x 10.5 rear tires are 255/40/20 and rear are 305/45/20

These were 20x11 and the offset made the wheels stick out a bit and it was lowered on the ground so had no room to bounce so had to roll them
what kit did you go with to not have to cut the front spindle like on a Belltec?
Check out my comparison video all info is there ruclips.net/video/1FiG3imKEtw/видео.html

would this fit on an extended cad?
Yes it’s all same truck
What you rate spindle source am looking to buy my setup
The ones I used in this truck I like but it does set the wheels about .5 out further than bell tech
@@1194video what gave you the 5” drop? was the spring 3” and the spindle 2” or other way around? thanks 🙏🏽
