Dry ice blasting is amazing i highly recommend it . Its very gentle on paint an coatings . Maybe a 2 post lift in you're future?? You'd not regret it ...Thanks for sharing Robbie
I was thinking yall was more into the 67-72 trucks when yall was working & storing trucks out at John's? farm. Its been a long while since I've seen on of your videos. Its nice to see y'all working on OBS trucks! I own 4 of them. Out of 67-72, 73-87 & OBS GMT 400's, the OBS trucks make me the most money parting trucks out.
Man, I don’t think you know how excited I am for this build! You are going with parts that I have been thinking about going with such as qa1! The nissan transmission really has me excited to see how that runs behind a LS bc I am thinking of going that direction now as well! Keep up the great work! Notification bell is on for this build for sure!!! You are inspiring me to get back to my OBS build!!!
Finally! I’m super pumped for this build. I have the same QA1 kit for my ‘93. Soon as I get the engine back in I’ll be diggin in to that. See you at Fall Revival. 👍🏼💯
Robbie, for future reference check out the 67-72 truck forum and search for the cab lift plans. Made out of wood it fits inside the tuck and uses an engine crane to lift the cab off the frame. Safe, simple and you can do it by yourself. Your method worked but… anyway looking good.
For sure! I've seen those but these OBS cabs are way heavier than 67-72 and even 73-87 cabs - especially with glass and doors. While this was a bit sketchy, it was for fun and we had some control over it. lol
Yeah that hk03-obs1 kit is around 6500 by itself. They now have 2 sets of the qa1 coilovers, 2 sets of spindles. I'd just be happy to have 1 of those sets😅!
Exciting stuff, Robbie! New space looks great. (Although it looks like it might fill up fast just blowing Brownie all apart. 😊) Nice camera work by the other guy. Have you intro'd him to us yet? Is he a partner in UBT Media?
Nice to see you getting going on the obs but real sorry to hear the React rear kit is no longer available. It was my only choice of rear kits for my 98 obs. I am certain the QA1 is nice but the bracket and bars are just to much. Will be my choice for the front though, anyway nice progress.
I have a clean one owner 95 Chevy wt with 108k mikes on it. wish it had a 5.7 but it’s clean. I would love to update it but financial I’m just keep it stock and keep it goin strong
This is gonna be an awesome build. Who will be faster? Two Tone Brown or Josh McPherson’s Cookie Monster?? Great group of guys and looking forward to the build!!
Dry ice cleaning doesn’t hurt the surface. It can clean anything and not hurt original paint or the original surface of parts. It cleans them without hurting.
@@UNITEDBYTRUCKS think about how dry ice could mean you don’t have to strip an underside down to bare to fix it. It could save man hours, labor and money in the long run.
Why get rid of the 4 link? They offer a lot of adjustability for road racing and drag racing. Don’t see how a torque arm is an improvement. I have an obs truck. I’m looking for a better upper control arm. The factory eccentric adjustment suspension design in the front is not really good for anything other than stock. Poly bushings in the front just binds up the control arms. If you keep the factory adjustment you really need a rod end or heim joint if you keep the factory eccentric washer design. I have seen really expensive custom frames use the same factory eccentric washer adjustment design and it’s no better than factory.
I just wish this channel. Help us truck people want to just make our truck better. Can't afford anything you are talking about. Cool video glad you got the money. I Don't 😢
We do a mix of budget and more niche focused builds that require more expensive, speciality parts. We’ll make sure to keep a mix of both. Thanks for watching! We’re just having fun.
And this is why I have a twin post lift. For projects like this. Good luck , I know this truck will be a sweet azz ride when it's done! o7
Great journey on this truck...can't wait to see the finished project!
I’m loving this OBS build

Love seeing the QA1 & Tinworks products, totally diggin' the UBT HQ & cool seeing all of 'ya in the shop & enjoying yourselves!😅
Thanks, Doug!

Excited to watch the next video. You are living my dream.

The rabbit hole of stocking a new shop, we've been there. Monster Customs was dry ice blasting. Chruchill cracking the jokes. Good stuff.
Right?!?! So fun with these guys!

Mad money just in parts... Damn
Sponsors bro... Id throw em on too!

Yall def made it hard to remove the cab lol but hey yall got it done great job 👏🏽
Haha but had fun

haha we shall see!
I’ll be in Atlanta next week. Can swing by and get that react stuff out of your way.
haha we've got plans for it but hit me up and maybe we can link up while you're here - shoot me an email unitedbytrucks@gmail.com

Congrats on the shop. You’re living the dream brother
Dry ice cleaning doesn’t hurt the surface. It can clean anything and not hurt original paint or the original surface of parts. It cleans them without hurting.
That’s what I’ve learned
@@UNITEDBYTRUCKS think about how dry ice could mean you don’t have to strip an underside down to bare to fix it. It could save man hours, labor and money in the long run.
There's also dustless blasting.
Dry Ice blast. Nothing better. does not take paint off. Even leaves manufacturer chalk marks.
Yep, our friends at Inge Dry Ice Blasting in Louisville are educating us on it. Should have some cool content coming with them on it.
How about some TASK FORCE APACHE content?!
Hang tight. One at a time right now.
Time to find a sponsor who will contribute a gantry at a mini bridge crane. Look em up. I’m putting one in my shop.
haha I've been cruising marketplace
BE A BAD ASS TRUCK WHEN DONE
I sure hope so!
You should do a give away contest on the react rear setup. Put my name down on that, lol.
I considered that but everything is so heavy to ship. We have another idea in mind. :)
Well crap. 😂
Looking forward to the build though. Love pro touring setups of any kind. I have a 94 I daily so it makes upgrades a weekend only endeavor.
Hey ubt, are you guys going to the c10 fall revival this year?
Yes!!
Hey just trying to see what wheel and tire size are those on the truck
The steelies are 15x6 up front with 225/70/15 and 15x8 rear with 275/60/15
✌️🤙
Might be time for a lift!!!
I’m back and forth on it.
@@UNITEDBYTRUCKS2 post you won't regret dude
What’s the song at the beginning of the video?
Not sketchy at all …..😳😳🤫🤫
You know how we do…😂
The whole time i just keep imaging freak accidents where that guy might lose his other arm
Good grief

A gantry crane would be a great way to lift that cab without a lot of fuss or danger. Just sayin!
No doubt. Exactly what I was thinking half way through pulling body parts
Why didn't you just lift the cab off with 4 guys?
Too heavy with doors etc. Just having fun with what we have. Tons of ways to do it
Kozey Drives
Me & my friends aren’t smart enough to use the board method. We just cut out fingers up & cuss lifting & walking. Working harder, not smarter
Haha that’s funny!
I just wish this channel. Help us truck people want to just make our truck better. Can't afford anything you are talking about. Cool video glad you got the money. I Don't 😢
