I was leaning toward a LS swap on my 1992 extended cab short box 5 speed (HM290) - decided on a crate pushing 290/370 with minimal modifications. Respect to your setup. Looks great. I don't regret my choice because it cost less and Ii gave me what I wanted.
Ive watched a hundred of these swap info vids. You sir are built for this. Im only half way through and cant get over how good its shot and how straight to the point you are. Appreciate you.
Out of the swap stuff I’ve seen for these era trucks this was definitely the most informative. Plus including all the part numbers and other miscellaneous parts needed.
Thanks for sharing your build. It looks and sounds very good. Did you use the same transmission from the 4.3? Any modifications needed to mate the transmission to the LS? Since you made this video about a year ago, can you give us an update on how the vehicle is doing and whether you use it as a daily driver? And since the build, is there anything you would change if you were to do it all over again. Great work! Thanks again.
I have a 91 GMC that I wanna LS swap. Never been much of a car guy but always wanted to fix up an old car. Since this one was sitting in the driveway with a bad rear main seal it's gonna be my project. Shoutout from Rock Hill!
Charles Barbor is an amazing runner. I had him do my 2001 ls10! I just got a 97 z71 thinking on doing a ls swap. It’s a love and hate relationship throughout the entire swap lol!!
Man I have been Scouring the webs for information on the radiator size for my 95. Maybe I’m bad at searching, but I keep going back to your video through this whole build of mine and get some new good information every single time. Thanks for helping me, I’m feeling grateful.
The radiator is from a obs C3500 heavy duty pickup truck easily found at an U pull it junkyard. Even if you don’t want a used radiator you can at least get the stock radiator mount brackets from the junkyard. But I’d just look for a 1995 Chevy C3500 radiator to buy a new one.
Awesome video. I just bought a ‘98 with a 4.3, so that’s nice to know about the motor mounts. Also, I love your whole radiator solution. Factory parts FTW!
Great clean job on the swap! I just completed my 2nd swap as well on a 71 Chevelle (now in paint and body) as well. Since I’ve just been finishing small jobs on my first swap. Nice work! I subscribed and tuned in.🤙🏾

Cost less than 3k to build a 400hp engine but if you ask me I'd say go the ls route.unless you doing a blower or turbo charging it or have a drive by cable go carburetor. It'll save you some headache and possibly some $$.
