@@ryancampbell735 I turned most of the messages off, apart from the timings. I found the `rants` too much (I`m slow). I had to leave a job I was in (after months on sick leave and no support from senior management) due to some serious bullying and those continuous critical messages were causing flashbacks. I use CC because the overlays in Raceroom multiplayer don`t function properly and Webhud causes a framerate drop of around 20fps.
You can also change the trigger word for voice recognition! The thing that bothers me the most is that CrewChief can read out custom names in Multiplayer but I have to choose a certain name from a list for my own name (my real name isn't in the list). I wish they made it a text box where you could just type in a name because the software can clearly pronounce words like other AI voice software.

After hearing you talk about Crew Chief in another video I simply started it, started Iracing and found all the spoken info already great. Seeing all the endless other options.. what an awesome program it is. Also thanks for the Iracing Manager tip :)

I always like to start the race with "pitstop clear tyres" amd "pitstop clear fuel" (for D class and below) so I don't forget if I need a fast repair. I also like to ask "What's the strength of field/sof" just because I do. I like the idea of practicing pit stops with Crew Chief so it can calculate where you will come out if you pit now helping you to decide if you want to do an early pit or not :) I've only ever used this feature once and I didn't use it properly but I can see it would be useful for IMSA and ILMS races. That's 'Time this stop' and 'where will i be after a stop'
you can also change the voice files to change from a annoying beep to another word command he uses. i have changed the beat to a "yes" so when i call him he says yes instead.

I used it when I started using crewchief, however now that we are all a bit more experienced I'm finding it hard to get the correct frequency of messages so that we get a much clearer picture of the race without asking, it would be greatly appreciated if you could do a follow up video on the frequency of messages (gap ahead, gap behind, multi-class frequency messages etc) it seems that if you put the frequency to high it starts to mix messages or not report on time cars pressuring you or gaps all around (slow car ahead or faster cars closing or on your tail) it would be great to have that sweet spot of frequency to get the correct reports and get them on time, thx and great videos!!

David , great video about crew chief, but i hate to be such a nube, but i can't even get to the first step, i can open it, but almost everything else is grayed out, all i can do is stop, clear console and open command macro editor, i'm sorry about asking you this way but i can't find anywhere to start, manual or anything, no clue how to get started, thanks for your time , mike

The hardest part of this otherwise excellent software is trying to figure out how to install the voice command function. Perhaps while you were showing us "how to get more from Crew Chief", you could have explained how to install this stupidly difficult portion of it.
Just check "prefer Microsoft voice recognition" or whatever the setting is. I found Crew Chief is very sensitive to background noise so I put a sock on my microphone and now it picks up rather consistently

David, Is Discord the only other form of social media youll use to chat with people ? Im not familiar with Discord and would have to set and learn the program just to be able to speak with you which I guess if its the only way of speaking with you its what Ill do but just wanted to ask before I went that route if there were any other options possible to contact you? I have facebook, twitter, and unlimited worldwide texting on my cell phone so Im not opposed to texting with you as well if thats a avenue you ascertain. Let me know please and thanks. Im a cherry newbie to iracing less then four months here. Just starting second season and Ill be in Class C in all four divisions. I love uour videos and have learned so much more just from your videos then anything or anyone else on the iracing platform and google period. I've got my current voice command software configured so that all I say is "tire temps". It would be a huge plus if I could change all of Crew Chief's voice commands to match what I am used to.
I notice when I record a game using crew chief/ crew chief doesn’t sound during video playback. When I’m playing during the recording I hear CC during the entire race. But not in video playback. Any suggestions?
My chief says “pit lane open all clear” when I’m leaving pits and there is traffic coming. But randomly says “traffic coming” when no one’s on the straight at all. How do I fix that?

Just reinstalled Nascar Racing 2003 Season, and modded it up to look like a modern game. Was just wondering if there was a way to make Crew Chief work with it as I've had no luck as of yet.
Have used crew chief autofuel in probably 50 races, today for the first time it underfueled me and I ran out. And I even have 0.3 laps extra in the settings
Well two things made me uninstall crew chief 1. No matter what it can't understand my accent so voice recognition was not working for me 2. I was in a very prolonged fight with 3 other cars running very close to each other lap after lap and it started to get too chatty telling me all the sector times of the car ahead and behind all the time in a relatively short circuit, telling me the guy behind is catching and i need to push, while i was on the absolute limit, telling me my times are dropping off just because we were in a fight, and that i have to send it to pass. It was extremely distracting especially when I really needed to focus, I think everyone who raced in a very heated and equal battle needs some quiet to focus, it caused me to crash and I immediately uninstalled it. Heck I almost ripped off my headphones that day (Reminds me of Kimi Raikonen on the radio yelling - Just leave me alone, I know what I am doing) i.e. what the only thing that could benefit you apart from the novelty which wears off eventually is really the auto-refueling, but tbh usually on solo races you only need only one stop and you can approximate the fuel needed before the race starts and using a fuel calculator just adjust it a click or two while refueling. As for where you are faster or slower than the other guy there is a neat application which is not very distracting and is called racelabs which compares your sector time from the guys ahead and behind lap by lap, and has a fuel calculator as well. The standings however I do find them distracting as it blocks full view on a single screen monitor.

It is also all about road racing, It works fine in ovals, but it obviously is focused on road. The "watch the white line" comment every single time I leave the pits (there is no white line in ovals). Petty? yes. But room to improve for sure. And reminders about my penalties are way too frequent. 12 seconds after the flag he is telling me I still haven't served my penalty, repeatedly

Hi there, great App. New to AMS2 here, I was just wondering if it ues a lot of resources on a PC? My PC isn't that powerful and I had to dial down some graphics etc... to keep game smooth, especially in online play. I love the App though and would love to use it.

i am having problems where i try to use the Voice recognition mode and I get your system is missing a dependency for speech recogniser to work. How do i fix that?
Is your mic too low? Record yourself in Voice Recorder app (win10) and see how your levels are. Raise or lower in sound settings if your too low or distorting. That was my problem.
I would still recommend letting him talk to you though. He provides good info. Also as David touched on you can map buttons instead of speaking. You can ask "how much fuel left" or "fuel me to end" with a simple button press. Helps if you have a button box of course.
When I open my Crew Chief it keeps beep every 10 seconds, it's really annoying! Anyone here knows how can I stop these beepings? It's impossible to use Crew Chief like this, very disturbing.

Yeh Steve, disable the voice but leave the iRacing spotter text on screen as it's always helpful.

Hi Craig, make sure iRacing is selected and that you picked a name. Also in the properties page make sure you click the save button.

The live hud won't startup on its own. For SDK what did you do to fix it? For the iracing manager
My Crewchief constantly keeps reporting my wrong position everytime I cross the line. I have 64 cars drawn 🤷🏽♂️

Dunno why but crew chief gives me wrong data. Says that I am in a different position then I really am and has wrong read outs of fuel.
If I'm using the automatic fuel thing that you suggest, does it just ignore what I put in the fuel black box, or what?

Hi there, great App. New to AMS2 here, I was just wondering if it ues a lot of resources on a PC? My PC isn't that powerful and I had to dial down some graphics etc... to keep game smooth, especially in online play.
I love the App though and would love to use it.
Bro I play assetto corsa without gpu with crew Cheif on it still works perfect with 50-60 fps which i get even without crew Chris

I love crew chief but it "can't hear me" like 90% of the time, "give me deltas every lap" is impossible to get working sometimes mid race, got any advice?

hi from italy: two questions. yesterday raced with nascar and i see that Chief do not give me real position but less 10 (i was in 15th position...but chief give me 5th) it is possible set this? in graphic iracing?......other question...it is possible to set chief in pit stop to set new tyres and fuel in quantity to finish race without that i set with my hands on keyboards? ths

Is the program literally called "Crew Chief"? Do you need discord or anything else in the background for it to run if I'm just playing and not streaming?
i am having problems where i try to use the Voice recognition mode and I get your system is missing a dependency for speech recogniser to work. How do i fix that?

Is your mic too low? Record yourself in Voice Recorder app (win10) and see how your levels are.
Raise or lower in sound settings if your too low or distorting.
That was my problem.
I would still recommend letting him talk to you though. He provides good info.
Also as David touched on you can map buttons instead of speaking.
You can ask "how much fuel left" or "fuel me to end" with a simple button press. Helps if you have a button box of course.

When I open my Crew Chief it keeps beep every 10 seconds, it's really annoying! Anyone here knows how can I stop these beepings? It's impossible to use Crew Chief like this, very disturbing.
