- A judge ruled that #SarahBoone has forfeited her right to counsel after eight attorneys have withdrawn from her case. Boone will now represent herself at trial where she's accused of zipping up her boyfriend in a suitcase, leaving him to die.

The judge can rule that she can't fire her attorney. However the law is everyone has a right to council.
What I hear is the lawyer doesn't want to have their client involved in their own defense.
Which is actually a serious problem in our country.

The judge did NOT rule that Boone “must defend herself” - only that she has forfeited the right to free court-appointed counsel, and must provide her own defense.

I practiced Criminal Law for a long, long time. This has the appearance of a "stalling" game. Delaying the trial by running attorneys off.
AND. Some things the attorney said jumped out. She got up and left during a Deposition. She walked out when the attorney tried to explain WHY her nonsensical legal arguments wouldn't be admitted or wouldn't work.
And the "stall game."
I'm not in the psychiatric/ psychological field, but she seems to be TERRIFIED OF CONFRONTATION.

The suffering was immense. I'm sure an ME can testify to that. The actual video of him pleading, I watched twice and it’s forever impacted me. Can’t watch it again.

Exactly!......or any of her other failings as a human being. She knows her character and many other things will be called into question, including a focus on her drinking and as a narcissist, she can't allow any of that. Regardless of what she says or does, her failings are going to be on display for all the world to see.

She'll find some way to fire herself due to "irreconcilable difference" and prolonge it even longer, at this point she knows her goose is cooked and if she was smart and she'd plead guilty there's a mountainful of evidence agaisnt her, cant wait till they play the videos in court.

I think she does not understand what she is being charged of. She is pretending like she is 1st degree murder charges but the actual charges are for 2nd degree murder. Going through all these defense attorneys indicate the only play is to negotiate a plea deal with the prosecution, beg the judge for mercy at the sentencing hearing, and express remorse at the sentencing hearing. She will get a worse sentence because she is annoying the judge, wasting court time, and not showing remorse to the victim and his family. Instead of writing long essays to the judge she should have written an essay to the news apologizing to the victim’s family in hopes they don’t go as hard as they plan to at her sentencing hearing.
