I really resent her description of Tallahassee. It's such a nice, small city. As far as wealth , there are quite a few very wealthy, highly educated people who live there. I can see why Dan would want to raise his children there.
When Georgia ask Wendi the name of the husband she replied " you want his name in the book"? She slipped up, cuz Wendi implied that the professor in the book actually was based on a real life character! ( which is Dan)

I didn’t know Wendi wrote a book!! Reminds me of Kouri Richins case in Utah. She murdered her husband with fentanyl in a drink. Now she’s claiming he used fentanyl, which of course is a lie. Kouri claimed she wrote a book for children grieving for a parent, but actually she hired a ghost writer. Went on tv talk shows promoting her book. I think her trial is in 2024.
The fact she left while he was away on a business trip, stripped house then went dark for two weeks leaving Danny desperately searching for information on the children's location is repulsively evil.

Of all the people involved in this murder, Wendi was the ONLY one with a motive. Not a single other person had anything to gain but her. That's the only way Dan Markel and his mother will ever get justice.

Because she’s a lawyer, so she knows it’s a major trap of a question. If she says she’s angry, she is advocating for her own demise and that of her family members; if she’s says she’s not, she comes off as callous and unbothered by not knowing the details of the murder of her children’ father. As a witness being interrogated under the given circumstances, her evasion of a direct answer to that question was probably her best move, albeit, amongst a limited set of possible responses, none of which could make her look good, which is precisely why the prosecutor asked the question in the first place.

The Prosecutor in this video is one of the best I've ever seen. The fact that she does not modulate her voice very much but leaves any emphasis for just the right time to nail Wendy Adelson is a textbook lesson in how to show lies, inconsistencies and obfuscation of facts and how to reveal that the witness is untruthful.

Wendi had made it clear from the very beginning that her role in this murder conspiracy plot was to play the ignorant one. She knows the law well enough to portray herself as the innocent one. To pin the blame on her mother and brother. She coached them to an extent but not well enough to keep them from incriminating themselves, an intentional move on Wendi’s part. I’m no body language expert but I KNOW in my soul that Wendi is the mastermind in all this. Not Donna. WENDI is the puppetmaster. Now that Donna is in custody and held without bond I hope they find some more evidence against Wendi to arrest her. She’s been relishing her freedom for far too long. Her time must come.
She knows everything that happened because she was a willing player in the family-plot to kill her husband to keep the kids from going to Dan, and after Dan is murdered, Wendi has kept those kids from Dan's parents. An innocent wife who had no idea her husband was going to be murdered would never keep her kids from seeing her beloved husband's parents who greatly love her kids! But, Wendi hated Dan, she knew who killed him, and out of spite, kept those kids from seeing Dan's parents. The whole plot was for that to be the conclusion: no more Markels in Wendi and her kid's lives.

Currently, an indictment for conspiracy to commit murder must be filed within 10 years after the offense is committed. I am going to look into it some more.
@@amberlynn8591 one would think that conspiracy or an accomplice is just as bad, so having a time limit is illogical if there isn't a time limit for murder charges. I've seen cases where the state couldn't charge bc of time limits for certain crimes, but the feds were able to do it bc there was interstate travel involved which had allowed federal charges to be applied. I'm going to have to look it up also bc I'm curious. I spend as much time looking up interesting law & Crime stuff, as I do school stuff, which is never good. Ty!

A lawyer blandly lying about the grandparents visiting the boys is just shameful. There are records that can easily prove that this nasty woman prevented her boys from seeing their paternal grandparents. An arrest for her and her mother, Donna can't come soon enough. If you read Ruth Markel’s book you will be in horrified disbelief about how cruel and awful Wendi was to Dan’s family immediately after the murder and continuously.
I thought the Markel’s question about the boys care if she were to be arrested actually caring, and Wendi’s reaction mask came off when she discussed the foster care. When I found out they changed their last names, it broke my heart. Someday these young men will look for the truth of their father’s death on their own.
