This is so disturbing the lengths they went to for $ and move to be by her Mother. I believe the daughter and Mom behind most of it then brother paid for hit etc. this is sick and these poor children!! Shame on them !! Justice is coming for Wendi !!
Vinny, I love your passion for justice, especially for Dan Markel’s murder! He was so brilliant! He attended Harvard, then Cambridge College in England, then back to Harvard for his law degree! I’ve read comments from some of his student’s comments and they have all stated that Dan was a wonderful professor and they all admired him! My heart breaks for Dan’s parents and his sons! 💔💔💔. I hope Dan’s parents and his sister can raise Ben and Lincoln!

She obviously helped the conspiracy by communicating dans schedule and whereabouts, she created an alibi for herself and tried to divert the police investigation by setting up Lacasse. She spoke to her brother for 20 minutes just 2 hours before the shooting and an hour after the shooting she drove past the crime scene! She had the most to gain: moving back to Miami and out of tally which she hated, getting full custody of the kids, not having to deal with Dan, getting to be the victim and the huge financial gain! Then there’s all her actions after the crime which show her guilt like immediately moving back to Miami, changing the kids names, not allow Markel grandparents visitation. Her book was basically forecasting and her podcast just shows her complete lack of empathy still towards Dan. The extreme family enmeshment would also point towards the fact that they all conspired together. My goodness she told victim advocate she taught her boys about death just before their dad was killed (one boy was like 3 years old at the time…)- I mean c’mon! That’s not even the half of it and could explain some away but the totality of the evidence is overwhelming imo.
Donna is clearly toxic but Wendi was and is the one who fed her mom with her stories of unhappiness 'allegedly caused by Dan". This is the epitome of an unbalanced, emotional immature bunch of people, feeding off each others' arrogance and entitlement. It just proves, once again, money does not buy class.

I find it hard to believe that Wendi wasn’t involved, especially after she drove by the crime scene and then tried to set her boyfriend up to take the fall.
Even if she was not involved initially, I absolutely don't believe she didn't know for 9 years. I don't know how it works in America, however here in Australia, it is a crime of accessory after the fact.

I believe she wasn’t expecting the police to already be there. If the neighbour hadn’t come out Dan could have been left for a long time. It was also reported it took the paramedics 14 minutes to get to Dan.

It has been said that Dan was an outstanding Professor and he was known for wanting to have legal arguments and debating them. There was no way Wendi was going to win in court against Dan and the Adelson's knew this.

Hi Vinnie, I'm currently listening to Ruth markel's book"The unveiling"It's such an honest, heartfelt, painful and incredibly moving book! I feel so badly for Ruth and Phil Markel for what they've been through as parents and grandparents it's unfathomable and unforgivable!

That’s what the issue was it was a court order not allowing her to move to South Florida so therefore that’s why Danny needed to be out of the way so she could move to South Florida to be closer to mommy and daddy

Is it just me or is it kind of odd that if you are convicted of murder you can appeal and get another trial.
However, if you are found innocent, you cannot be indicted again (double jeopardy) even if they find evidence of your guilt. Seems kind of double-standard to me!

Well, first of all, you’re not found innocent, you’re found not guilty, and once a jury finds you not guilty of the crime of murder, you cannot be retried again. She could go in the middle of Timesquare, and admit that she killed Danny and they couldn’t retry her that’s a hypothetical if Wendi was ever charged, and found not guilty .
And just because you file an appeal doesn’t mean you’re going to get a new trial the majority of people that are convicted of murder plus many other crimes always file an appeal just to buy themselves sometime hoping for a new trial.
The appeal process is basically a review of the trial to make sure nothing prejudicial to the defendant occurred & that they received a “ fair” trial.
New trials are only granted if something is found. As they should be…
We don’t want innocent people sitting in prison do we ? If the person is truly guilty & they received a fair trial then the verdict should be able to survive the appeals process.

Dona and Wendi only focused on themselves. Those 2 did not care one bit about the children’s mental impact of the 1) divorce and the way it was handled by Wendy when she announced it to Dan and 2) Dona not caring about how her grandkids would react hearing her talking negatively about their father. At one point, those kids are going to be old enough to realize how selfish those 2 behaved… and that’s not even talking about the murder of Dan itself. And Charlie… what a scumbag.
My family was rude and disparaging to my child's father (who I couldn't stand and had bad court hearing. Just the lies he said in court) My mother was there to give them to him later that day while I was still at work. Her and my cousin both verbally attacked him and called him names in front of my our son and daughter, and his son (my former step son, well, always be my step son in my heart) anyhow he called me at work told me what they did I was mortified, and apologized to him and my step son and it is just hurt because that was against my values. I never talked bad about him in front of our kids. That's what my friends are for. It's a sad world. People value themselves more than their own children.

@stephanel4770 Thank you. They're all grown and awesome adults. I came from divorce and remembered the bullets I felt in my heart when my Mom was horrible to our dad. She also never wanted us to be kind to him. She would get mad if we did tell him we missed him. So, I knew our split was between us. Our kids needed both of us regardless.

Curious to hear how many more injuries Wendi has inflicted on Dan's sons. They are too old now to keep them hostages to Adelson's remaining at large.
Because of divorce, I once lost a son, not by murder, but missing forever. I found my son many years later in another state with his dad. We had a reunion many years later and my son rejected me as his mother. Never saw him again after we met.
I wonder what arrangements had already been made, by Harvey and Donna, to leave Miami and travel to Tallahassee, PRIOR to Wendi's phone call to her mom, from the police station, the day of Dan's murder. Had they stopped the mail, mentioned to neighbors or friends, that they'd be gone for a few days, in preparation for the day, so when Wendi called her mom, and told her, allegedly, for the first time, that Dan had been murdered, and Donna acts so surprised? What prior arrangements had been made by WENDI, to get ready to leave asap, after the murder? Had she forwarded mail, informed people that she'd be leaving T. soon, etc? That would be very telling, imo. Might seem like small details, but could indicate knowledge, on the part of Wendi.

Dan Markel was shot on Fri July 18th 2014, he died on Sat July 19th 2014, his parents had a service for him on Sun July 20th 2014 and by Mon July 21st 2014 his two little boys and their Mom(Dan's ex wife) moved back to her Parents home over 400 miles away. How did Wendi know something would happen to Dan that she could move away when a court order prevented her from moving the boys? How did Wendi know?
She went first to Miami weeks before to change her old bedroom by her parents into a new room for her boys.. She knew all about the plan to kill Dan.. everything was planned. Jeffrey Lacassee was not welcome at her home after the 14e July! Because her mom and dad and she was packing already everything for the drive to Florida and she didn't want anyone to know that of-course 21th of July.. Everything was packed and they drove "forever" to her parents..

All I can say is WOW! Ruth is such a classy lady. The more I learn about this case, the more heartbreaking 💔 it gets. Ruth speaks with such maturity towards the people that killed her precious son. She is so strong and has the patience of Job over all of these years as these convictions continue to come in. May GOD continue to be with the Markels and may justice be served for all involved in Danny’s murder. 🙏♥️

How cld Tallahassee detectives allow Wendi to leave for South Beach 2 days after that questioning of Wendi on the day of murder. Are you kidding me. Once detectives became aware of their ongoing nasty divorce they shld have immediately been suspicious of Wendi. I will never understand why Wendi was never spoken to again. These detectives at the time of the murder did a horrible job. It's surreal to me that Wendi is still free 10 yrs later. They had plenty of suspicion to ck deeper into Wendi especially after what Jeff tld them but they choose to ignore Jeff at the time and believed Wendi more. This was a total fail by the DA
They tried, but she got a lawyer and refused to talk with them again.
Plus, her family has political connections, a powerful ones, so the State Attorney refused to charge Adelsons.

I check my phone every morning….To see if her & Harvey has been arrested. I have faith they will. God hasn’t brought The Markels this far to leave them. 5 out of 7 down 2 more to go. That’s why Donna didn’t want to give up her phone at the airport.
Its interesting that Wendi handed the police her family on a platter within the first 30 min of her police interview. Her weird actions and conversations with her ex boyfriend led him straight to the police with all of the threats her family was making against Danny. She set everyone up.
I've said from the beginning that Wendi is guilty as sin in Dan's murder. She's a vindictive sneak, and it's only a matter of time, she's going down.

Donna has narcissistic personality disorder and was committing psychological child abuse against Dan’s sons. She destroyed her own children by using them to satisfy her compulsion to control. The murder was first and foremost for her benefit.

@@foad2286 Dan doesn't decide on custody, the courts do. Harassment and filing an application in a divorce proceeding are not the same. Did the courts make a judgement that Dan was harassing Wendi based on religious affiliation? I have not seen anything detailing charges of harassment from Dan. Where are you getting this info from?
As nasty and evil Donna Adelson has been to Ruth and Phil Markel, Ruth gives us hope that most human beings are loving and good. She has such a beautiful spirit.

All the misery this family caused.. They all had good lives.. This could have turned out so differently... Yes Wendi would have had to compromise, but overall she, Dan and the wider family could have lived happy lives, wealthy lives.. They have RUINED their lives, their futures.. It is very sad! So many victims, so many lives ruined... Generations of people impacted by one act! It's mindblowing..

I’m a non-kosher non-observant born Jewish lawyer: even thru my less than observant standards, Wendi feeding the kids shellfish etc. is pure evil. It was done for no purpose other than to be evil toward Danny. Second, a huge point your guests (once again miss): divorce is deemed to be an “equitable proceeding.” When you pull crap like Wendi of doing the clean out + leaving the divorce papers really pisses off judges and jurries who decide the equitable division.

That must have been so devastating for Dan to come home to an empty house. Ruth has shown such patience and grace. I don't know if I could be so patient if that had happened to my son. Justice for Dan needs to include ALL the Adelsons in prison.
