They were never getting on that plane, Detective Sandford says they were monitoring them all & saw she had booked one way tickets on her credit card that morning for the 8pm flight,so they got a warrant that morning ready to go arrest her but had to let them pass through security, passport checks etc to show intent of fleeing for definite for the court trial, that's why the detectives waited in the airport until D&H were in the boarding area.

Did the LE ever read the defendant her Miranda Rights at arrest? I didn't hear it? Just wondering? Shame on these families taking each other out!! Awful!
I have heard it explained in other cases and videos that they don’t have to read the rights UNLESS they are asking questions about a case or incident as in an interrogation room. That’s why you usually see the detectives come in and do that first. Then the person signs a paper usually that he has heard his rights. Arresting officers in the field are apprehending the criminal and it could be violent. They need to get them to the jail for interrogation and then they can be read their rights and call their lawyer etc. Now I’ve watched DUI arrests on videos and I’ve seen the officer read the Miranda, but they will then be able to question them about if they drank, where they’ve been, do sobriety tests etc. Notice these officers will not question Donna, neither did the FBI agents at the beginning.
As of 2022 officers are no longer required to read Miranda Rights at the time of arrest, although we do still have all of these rights. The current Supreme Court is taking away a generation of civil liberties.
As the responder correctly detailed above , merely detaining an individual and /or placing them under arrest does not automatically require the officer to Mirandise the detainee. Miranda rights are specifically to provide legal protection to an individual ONLY while being questioned under police caution. And although this is usually reserved for an interrogation room back at the police department, an individual can be questioned just about anywhere and under any circumstances , be that on a roadside or in the back of a police cruiser on the highway or at your beside while being rushed to the emergency department in an ambulance. But more importantly, your Miranda rights are automatically triggered the moment any individuals attempt to discuss anything connected to their case and /or the reasons for their arrest to an officer, even if the officer didn't actually approach the subject themselves or request any information from the subject which is when you'll observe officers immediately stop what they're doing and PRIOR TO any discussion that's about to commence between the two, the officer will pull out their Miranda card to read the rights out loud to the individual being detained ,and no, they don't read from the card because they can't remember them lol, it's virtually impossible to forget something you read out loud at least 10 or more times a day, but they read directly from the Miranda card in order to guarantee the rights read out are identical every single time with no deviations that could be future grounds for dismissal. However, as we saw with Ms. Adeleson, she neither attempted to offer up any information about the case likely due to all the legal proceedings she's been involved in & knows to zip it , nor was she asked any questions by the arresting law enforcement officers, and as such, she isn't in any situation that would require for her Miranda rights to be enforced. Basically, in a simple nutshell...... "Questioning =Miranda Rights[]Miranda Rights=Questioning" Hope that helps.
@@AdgTee21just a slight correction in your informative reply, just so you'll know in future as I love to learn myself, but although the vast majority of police questioning does occur back at the police dept {I'm suspecting you're a Brit like myself lol? Only I tend to use American vernacular when watching footage from there & used the word department but I noticed you said "police station" which is what makes me suspect you're a Brit yourself, but I apologise if I'm incorrect} where it's recorded for future evidence in court, but questioning can occur just about anywhere and not necessarily from the officer but the detainee who keeps offering up what can turn out to be critical information, none of which can be admissible in a court of law if not preceeded with the Miranda rights which is why we see officers, just standing in the door of their cruiser chatting to the detainee, whip out their Miranda card that policy rules insists they must read from every time to ensure it's identical to remove any possible appealate issues in the future. But yes, Miranda rights are not restricted to the police depts interrogation room, but can and are read out to detainees in every conceivable situation you can think of including in a hospital, on their death bed (particularly in dying declarations) at the roadside, in the back of a police cruiser, or as I once saw, even speaking to an officer while sat in the drivers seat of your wrecked automobile the firefighters are using the "Jaws of life" metal cutting tool to free you from the mangled wreck your legs are trapped in.

Put in a FOIA request form. Might take some time, but they'll give it to you!
Harvey saying “please don’t do this, please.” Like, dude, you’re not going to talk them out of it. THEY KNOW!!! She’s toast!
Part of me is like, hmm, maybe he's glad to be rid of her for a minute 😂

And, she still complained afterwards.
They were to nice to her

Not to mention she bought a one way ticket lol. She had no intention of returning ever lol.
@@GodOfDestructionVegeta27which is crazy because the whole point of killing Markel was so the boys could be near their grandparents in South Florida. Now she doesn’t even give a damn about those boys and is willing to flee for ever?
Well, she got significantly better treatment than she gave her son in law. She is the face of evil. And I love all her questions about how the state "should have told her there's a warrant". They are not obliged to do that at all. Many people (probably most people) learn of a warrant for the arrest at the same time as the arrest, otherwise, they flee and do exactly what dear old Donna and Harvey were doing. Makes my blood boil that she makes this whole thing about her... and her purported victimhood. I truly hope she rots in prison along with the rest of her nasty family!
Exactly. 👍🏻
The shame is, Dan’s wife was JUST AS GUILTY!
The kids will know when they grow up.
Ex-wife please. She's not deserving of the title wife or mother.
They probably know now.

Harvey might be almost 80 years old, he seems to be perfectly able to get home on his own. She's mothering him. Now he's free from her and he can live his best life. 😂
Pay attention..they were All in on it.. he was leaving with her to flee to a non extradition Country.. his best life ever.. ?? WTH
he is NOT innocent in this...
'Please don't do this,' says Harvey. He has a hell of a lot of nerve.
Donna trying to figure out how she didn’t get wind of a warrant is priceless. No Donna, your beloved Rashbaum didn’t inform you of a warrant when he was giving you advice about fleeing the country. The long and very patient arm of justice knew you were a flight risk 😂🎉🥳👏

What does she think this is? Air conditioning and water? How long? You have no more rights Donna!
Sure, she can ask. Begrudging things like that is just an indicator of the commentators' picayune nature more than anything else, tbh.
Besides, there are so many legal aspects to this case to focus on.

This was Miami-Dade; not Leon County. My guess is that she has gotten out of a lot of traffic tickets because of her money. Wouldn't surprise me if the people in law enforcement in this county knew her already or had dealings with her. They were a prominent couple with a lot of influence. She was probably real calm because she thought she could get bond that night because of knowing the right people.
If you notice the next morning in the first appearance in court; she obviously had to spend the night in jail. She was not calm and when the judge addressed her with "good morning" she did not answer. Looked like she was too angry to speak. Reality was setting in that this was not going away and money wasn't going to fix this.
When she was transferred to Leon County jail; they were not so accommodating as Miami..

Anyone notice when Donna was getting out of the police cruiser, above is a jet leaving the airport. I wonder if that was the same jet Donna and Harvey was trying to get on to flee to Vietnam. Perfect timing for that jet to fly over as Donna was getting out. The two almost got to the tunnel to aboard.
Yes, I saw that and wondered if it was the one they were going to board.
"My husband can't come with me?" In their heads "Trust us, we wish we were taking you both in." Also, the irony of them about to board an Emirates plane and where she is now. Justice for Dan!

They’re almost grown now anyway and have had very minimal time with the Markel’s. 😥
I don't understand how it took them 10 years. The video of the car following him showing the plate was there the whole time.
Because the trials, COVID lockdown,Luis Rivera's plea deal was first, then there was Garcia and Katie's trial,a hung jury for Katie and again a trial, then Charlie's trial & now Donna's upcoming trial, she's still not had he case management hearing until February to set a date for trial.

PRISONER ENTRANCE ‼️‼️
Yeah, I loved that door sign.
My favourite bit too! You could see her reading it and realizing it's really happening.
"Questioning =Miranda Rights[]Miranda Rights=Questioning" Hope that helps.
