- A week after Charlie Adelson was convicted in a murder-for-hire plot to kill his ex-brother-in-law, Dan Markel, his mother has been arrested on similar charges. Donna Adelson is now also accused of killing Markel by hiring a hitman. I found the probable cause document regarding Charlie Adelson on google. From what I read, it’s possible that Wendi could be charged!!

He became more and more involved in the rituals of his religion and was imposing them. That has nothing to do with wanting to be involved in his children's lives this over emotional tirade was kind of embarrassing to be honest period but court TV is still my favorite

I hope with age, the boys realize just how evil the mother's side of the family is...including their own mother. To change their last name is just deplorable. I hope the kids will one day research and see for themselves just how evil the Adelson family is...and maybe take back their Father's name. I know I wouldn't want that name after all this!

I just heard about this story and I was already high but I decided to go get a beer. I have been trying so hard not to dislike Florida so much but the crimes there are so crazy!
@@cartergomez5390the same types of crimes occur elsewhere too. Florida has a freedom of information act which is why you get all the details you don’t get elsewhere.
You have to have the evidence first.
Otherwise, the case collapses and charges can never be bought again.
There is much less evidence against Wendi than either Donna or Charlie.
She hasn't been caught on tape admitting to anything.
Unless the other conspirators give evidence against her, its hard to see how she will be charged.
In our justice system, you still need evidence to charge someone, hunches, and accusations alone won't cut it in court.
You know what’s going to bother Wendi the most in this entire segment? The fact that Vinnie said Dan was much smarter than she is. Hahaha! He knows how to get under a narcissist’s skin. 😂

Turns out Dan was correct in wanting to limit Donna’s access to the kids. I think at one point he wanted “supervised visitation.”
He knew she was toxic and like any concerned parent wanted to protect them
That’s what made Donna want him murdered before the hearing asking for supervised visits with her
She was bad mouthing him horribly.
It would have been wiser to at least attempt to negotiate/mediate with the grandparents. Two professionals with their own careers really could have used family close by to assist with the toddler children. A family counselor could have brought attention to Grandma that disparaging the boys' father was extremely harmful to them and not acceptable. Dan was brilliant and could have easily found work anywhere. They as a family could have decided to move closer to the Grandparents if they were properly counseled and agreeable to act in the interests of the little sunshines. It would have been worth a try.

What makes me mad at this point is the fact that they were able to live freely for the past 10 years. This should’ve been solved years ago.

@@jeanleigh185It was Donna’s idea & Charlie’s following through. Yes maybe Wendi was made aware but I don’t think the idea came from her. Unfortunately Donna made sure Wendi was left in the dark to the details. I don’t think there’s enough evidence to charge Wendi or convict her.
I don't believe Wendi knew before it happened. I do believe she found out very soon afterwards. Those emails of Donna's really sealed it for me. I think Charlie would have done anything for Donna... to bask in the glow of mother's for _once_ not-disappointed gaze? He's a dip that got to play "hero" for his family and simultaneously play with the street thugs he could never fit in with. This is not to say Charlie isn't responsible for his role in the murder! Just that I observe a guy that was constantly overlooked by his family in favor of Wendi and their brother, and often thought of as the only one of three Adelson offspring that wasn't very disciplined; not "squared away" and/or serious about his life in the way his mother and father and siblings were. He was the Paris Hilton of the Adelson kids... all hedonism while Wendi was doing the valuable work of making the family look good while adding children to the clan. So the custody problem with "Jibbers" presented a vehicle in which Charlie could receive some _respect_ from Donna. Finally!
Here was a way to "man up" and provide value to the family instead of just making gobs of money and bringing sexy chicks in from Miami to decorate his hot tub with.
In an obviously matriarchal family I think Charlie was a little boy who jumped (how high, mommy?) at the chance to show his mom and treasured golden-child sister that he could and would step up and protect their interests.
He is a garbage human being yes, but I am confident he would have _NEVER_ done this on his own.
Donna is the big fish but her days swimming appear to be numbered.

My ex-husband's family is like this Adleson family. My three grown children haven't spoken to me for 15 years due to their sick "pack" mentality. So sad and frustrating for me as I love and miss my children so very much😢

As someone who lost their dad at a very young age due to a health issue, i appreciate the anger at making two young children lose and grieve their dad for the rest of their lives.

Wendi's pathetic acting at the police station after being "informed" of Dan's murder. She, as far as I'm concerned, is the most guilty of them all. She was the one who put the battery in everyone's back that set things in motion. Also, who would have been the most familiar with Dan's morning routine insofar as the hit being carried out without the kids being around.

Dan, was doing everything in his power, legally. To save his boys. Unfortunately, it cost him his life. Donna was 100% following the parent alienation tactics, and allegations. Except, this sick woman, wasn’t the damn mother.
Donna’s son, Robert, is extremely lucky that he survived, and got away from their evil clutches.cuz they screwed up his life for years, and drove the love of his life away. Thankfully, he got out, and found his way back to her. Donna, has modeled this in all three of her children’s lives. She is beyond sociopathic. Those poor boys, need to be away from that evil family. Including, Wendy. They only have, a few more years, to mold them into fine young men. With lots of therapy. I pray, the Markel’s can get custody of them. Since Donna has finally been arrested. And Charlie’s been convicted.
I think they have a great chance now. I would go for it if I was them and sue the crap out of Wendy, Donna, Harvey and Charlie. Take every last cent. 🙏 for the Markel’s. That they receive Justice for Dan and HIS boys. 💕

Following this case all the way from Australia, I think Wendi is involved also, if I drive by the street that my children live on and see police tape and the street closed off I would have freaked the hell out and demanded to know if my children were alright! Instead she turned her car around and drove off without even asking or telling the police officer that her children and ex live on that street, what an awful family.

The frustration over this senseless murder is exactly how I feel. Good fathers need to be in their child’s lives equally as the mother. I swear if my partners ex could get away with it she would have someone wack him because he’s currently in a custody battle to get 50/50 not full custody but just equal rights & responsibilities! It’s insane.
I remember listening to a podcast “Over My Dead Body” I believe it was the first season this was a few years ago before Charlie was arrested & I remember thinking that Wendy’s family needed to be brought to justice so seeing this all okay out slowly is satisfying!
