What is your favorite way to prepare pork chops?
4 boneless pork loin chops, ¾ inch thick
Vegetable oil
¼ cup packed light brown sugar
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon grated nutmeg
Salt and pepper
2 tart Borton apples (Granny Smith, Pink Lady or Braeburn)
4 tablespoons butter
4 tablespoons chopped pecans
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Brush pork chops lightly with
oil and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until evenly browned.
Remove from the pan and keep warm.
In a small mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg,
and salt and pepper to taste. Core apples and slice into ½-inch wedges.
Add butter to the skillet and stir in the apples and brown-sugar
mixture. Cover and cook over medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes,
just until the apples are tender.
Remove the apples with a slotted spoon and arrange on top of the
chops; keep warm. Continue cooking the mixture in the skillet,
uncovered, until the sauce thickens slightly. Spoon the sauce over
the apples and chops. Sprinkle with pecans. Makes 4 servings.

I was hesitating whether to get the apple cutter thing. I saw you using it in the video now i'm pretty sure i'm going to get one too :)

This looks really good, placed in favourites.
I have a handy chopper but it isn't red or called ninja, yours is way cooler.
Veggie-less? You rebel.
Copier! ;)
Oh god! Yummmm looks so tasty. Gotta make this for the fam's :)
I buy the loin chops also but you do have to compensate for the lack of fat that aids in moisture and tenderness. After browning I add half cup of water or chicken stock to the pan and cover tightly with the heat on med low. Check after fifteen mins to make sure not all the water has evaporated, then cook uncovered on med high until water is mostly gone. Remove chops and continue with recipe. I do this especially when making smothered chops in buttermilk onion gravy. Love salt and sweet
Those look delicious! Hugs girl!
Haha! I have a LOT of clue how good that must smell. It's coming through the screen at me. And I WAS wondering when you were gonna baste those puppies with all of that yumminess.
Lean cuts like that go dry from overcooking. With the added cooking in the sauce, I'd sear them at med-hi for maybe 3 minutes / side. The remaining few minutes under the apples is plenty to finish them. That 6 minutes per had them already VERY well done to start with.
Publix has pork on sale this week. Hmmm...
