New factory moved to Mexico. Recent recalls. Media showing 4wd breaking, tons of lemons and buy backs floating around with new transmissions. Huge snafu 10B issue with the Tundra. The 24 is a turd Mexican import with a 20k markup over a model 3 years ago. ALSO people want TRD off-road and they're shipping 10 to 1 SR5s and sports.

My two cents. Nissan Pro 4x - MSRP $38 - 41k a very decent truck, and the engine won't require a turbo replacement at 125K miles. So basically a TRD Pro Tacoma is $65k MSRP, and if you get it for $58k you're paying 33% more for a Toyota, that will need a $6k+ turbo in 125K miles. No matter how nice the 24' Tacoma looks, the above and beyond MSRP vs the Frontier is a no brainer. It's great Toyota is blowing out their MIM V4's that no one wanted from the get go, I just couldn't do it.

First of all, he's pointing out the deals currently being the best there ever will be in the history of Toyota. He's NOT stating these trucks are the best in the world. He is merely trying to inform people who's on the fence about buying these trucks and there's a rare opportunity of snatching a great deal from Toyota.
Second, I don't even subscribe to this guy, but if you even bothered to check out any of his other videos he's been very honest about the disappointment and lack-luster quality of the new Tacoma and Tundra. He's absolutely not sugar coating any of the issues. He even said he had many dissatisfaction regarding the old Gen 3 Tacoma.
And last, 20k overpriced??? You outta your f-ing mind bro. SR model MSRP is 31k, SR5 is 36k, TRD Sport is 38k. They are overpriced, sure, by about 5k max. You genuinely think a brand new 2024 Tacoma should be 20k cheaper? 2014 Corolla are going for 10k-13k btw.

I just bought a new 2024 yesterday. It was a crazy experience. I was aggressively targeting 10 percent off. I told the salesman that I wanted 10% off (which was $5600), and the manager just agreed. No pushback. No counteroffer. Just a yes. I was blown away. I was kicking myself wondering if I should have asked for 15%. And the really crazy part was that it is a manual. I am a manual shopper, and the dealers are always tough with them because they know the customers are motivated by the scarcity.

I've been a Toyota man and have owned nothing else since my first new, right off the lot limited edition 1983 Mojave pickup. I've personally owned 7 Toyotas, 5 of which I bought new from 3 different dealerships. My wife has owned 2 Toyotas which she purchased new. From 2005 through 2012 Toyotas had numerous recalls due to quality issues which is why my wife will never own another one. For the 2013 through 2015 model years Toyota got it's act together again and turned out some decent Tacomas which is when I bought the truck I'm currently driving. No sooner than I thought Toyota was worth buying again their quality started suffering again beginning with the 2016 or 2017 model year with faulty electrical components in the braking system of the Tacomas resulting in the vehicles catching on fire while parked. Recently Toyota trucks have had wheels come off of Tacomas while going down the road due to shotty workmanship, Tacoma transmissions shelling out as little as 350 miles off the lot, filings from the machining process making its way into assembled engines on the Tundras and some SUV's. Not to mention the over inflated prices for this junk the company is turning out. Try telling us again why this crap is still sitting on the lot. You couldn't freaking give it to me. Sorry dude but I'll never own another Toyota.

The reason there are so many is because of issues and they cost to much. On top of that, the back seat has no leg room for an adult. For the same price of that $54K truck you showed with a roof rack, you can go get a 2024 Chevy 1500 4x4 Trail Boss. These Tacomas should be max price at $45K.

I used to be a Tacoma fanboy until I drove a 2nd Gen Tundra with the 5.7L. I was like WTF was I thinking.
