REAL TIME Lunch and Urban Sketching Tutorials 🎨 Pen and Watercolors in Sketchbook

- Hi everyone, today I'm sharing with you of my real-time process sketching at a neighborhood cafe on a bright sunny day. I sketched my sandwich and latte, and then the cute apartment building on the other side of the street, all done at the table outside the cafe. Please watch the video until the end for my full process composing this sketchbook page using pen and watercolors.
🎨 Materials I used:
- Sailor's fude fountain pen (Bamboo Green)
- Noodler's Brown 41 Ink (to fill the fountain pen)
- Mungyo watercolors
- Etchr Mix-Media A4 size Landscape Sketchbook
- Holbein Water Brush (large tip)
- Holbein water brush (medium tip)

I like how you deleted the building behind the pink building. It's fun to add or subtract from a scene or move things around to make it more interesting or appealing to the eye. Love your art Becky. Ty from Columbus, Ohio.
When do you actually find the time to eat your sandwich and drink your coffee - which must have gone cold by the time you have finished your drawing! Excellent as always, by the way, and thank you for sharing and explaining your process.
Interesting and entertaining. What made it interesting to me is your dialogue along the way. You incorporated your thoughts with actions and it didn't seem like a long video at all.
I sorry if I missed the ink you used with your pens in this video. I'm assuming it is waterproof or archival.

There's a cafe in Portsmough NH where we go and I get the double shot decaf. Heavenly.

Nice sketch as usual. 2 hours limit to stay in the cafe 😐. Is that rule standard in Canada?
This is really nice, Becky. Does your pallets a 12 set Mungyo watercolour or you set up the colours yourselves?
The palette is mostly the original 12 colors from Mungyo. I added in "Simply Red" and "raw umber" from Etchr; "viridian green" and cobalt blue" from Russian White Night.

It's just an iPhone 8 Plus for filming. Then I use iMovie on my MacBook Pro to edit.

I live in Maine, USA and have been taking Becky’s classes since January. They’re super fun!
I have a question, I ordered Sailor's fountain pens and the Noodler's ink. The pens came with two ink tubes. My question is, when the ink runs out, how to fill the tube with Noodler's ink? Or did I ordered the wrong type of pen? Thanks.
Edit: googled, seems like I need to buy converter. Is it right? Does Sailor's converter fits any Sailor's pen? Thanks.
Yes, you need to get an ink converter from Sailor. :) The two ink tubes contains non-waterproof ink and lines will run if you paint over.
