    I've seen dale do both of those moves in separate incidents to try to win a race, but never seen someone do both of them in the same turn though. Denny's podcast should be pretty interesting lol

      In all fairness, I thought the 2nd replay of the incident showed that Stenhouse didn't turn down into the corner. I thought Preece took an appropriate line with a car under him, but Stenhouse was up high and created the contact, in my opinion.

      @@francesw.6774I’m only new to nascar, but my knowledge with every other racing series is that if you’re the one turning, and they’re the one keeping a consistent line, it’s your fault. He doesn’t have to hug the inside if he doesn’t want to, it’s then up to preece to not turn into him. Sure he could’ve hugged the inside, and all would be fine, but he doesn’t have to, and he should be turned in on because he decided to get his elbows out.

    Dillon is driving the #3 car after all. The intimidator did this all the time to win races and we had no problem with Earnhart doing it. It is called racing. I personally like the move. The race was boring up to that point. Dillon needed a WIN and he a chance to get it, so he went for it!

    The only real chance of victory he's had so far, he'd be very stupid to allow himself to lose that chance in the playoffs without fighting. A much better ending than Mickey Mouse at Indy.

      He would have won anyway if it hadn't been for Spinhouse's amateur, Dillon didn't lead the race by luck. Now you want to judge only by the outcome... Any driver at this stage who gets the chance will do the same thing, if they haven't done it in the past.

    I think we can all agree that overtime needs to go, it almost cost Dillon what could likely be his only chance at a win this season not mention the disastrous finish at Nashville with 5 overtimes and other races like 2023 Daytona 500 where the driver leading at the scheduled distance either lost the lead due to a caution before they got the one to go or got taken out in a wreck in overtime.

    Ideally in that situation you loosen and move the guy up without spinning/wrecking him, which you can do if your tight up to the car in front, but Dillon dive-bombed him from well back, so the contact was bound to be hard enough to do more than just move Logano up and break his momentum. A crappy way to win, in my opinion.

    2 wide restarts are such BS. 2 laps to go with a 3 second lead and a car between the leader and second place…..all that gets erased when the caution comes out and the second place car is placed door to door with the leader. That makes zero sense.

    I love how they conveniently change cameras so there isn't a clear shot of how the contact with Hamlin actually happened... But yeah, Lagano got dumped, but he shouldn't cry too much, ain't like he ain't never done it... But not a good enough angle for me to say he wiped Hamlin out too...

      Appeared to hook Hamlin's right fender. If that's accurate, he will be fined and docked points. That's the precedent unless you're Elliott, who was suspended.

      Denny was halfway past Dillon when Dillon cut back towards the apron in the shot before the camera moved. Dillon was middle of the second lane. At that point of the track you are usually moving back up toward the wall, not down to the apron. Even if Denny was coming back up Austin was heading down knowing full well someone was on the inside.
