      It's just part of NASCAR. Ever since they put restrictor plates on the cars they're forced to knock people out of the way and/or draft. And even though the crashes look terrible, the last death in NASCAR was in 2001 and the most major injuries that they suffer is a broken leg. They have obscenely high safety precautions.
      Edit: I should also mention that Dale Earnhardt Sr.'s death was also what brought upon so many of the safety overhauls to the sport. The big three being the HANS device, the new barrier, and the 'car of tomorrow'.

    From watching NASCAR through the 70s, 80s, 90s and into the early 2000s I can't believe how empty the grandstands look.
    I can remember seeing them that looked like standing room only, and then they build more around the tracks that fulled up quickly. Now all you see is empty seats!!!

      Damn near attempted murder at that point... Most of us have seen the Dale Earnhardt crash.. it wasn't an insane crash, just a big hit between him and the wall and that was the end. Intentionally putting someone in the wall should be an automatic harsh suspension.

      @ Tyler Fugate it was Ron Hornaday that Kyle Busch wrecked under caution.... the cause for Hornaday getting into the side of Kyle was they were three wide passing Timothy Peters and Hornaday pushed up into the side of Kyle... had Kyle not had his head up his arse and calmed down he could have fixed his truck and possibly won but nope... bonehead wrecks a competitor at over 100MPH and gets parked for the weekend and should have had his license suspended for the rest of the year for actions detrimental to the sport.... Phil Parsons had nothing to do with the accident....

      In f1 all 4 tires have to pass the white line for it to be considered exceeding track limits. Only at a few tracks this is actually enforced. And normally it just invalidates the lap time and no one is disqualified.

    Being Aussie as much as I enjoy NASCAR we often don’t see all of the races. Often heard that there are drivers like Kyle Busch that aren’t popular because of their tempers and dummy spits. Watching videos like this and seeing some of the antics that go on I can see why.

      @@lucasrios9249 True. Austin Dillon deserves to be in cup. Kevin Harvick got in cup bc of Earnhardt Sr.'s death. Dillon waited and got a ride in the cup series, after having success in both Trucks and Xfinity. Not hating on Harvick, but there are more reasons than just their name.

      Cameron Bebeau Harvick ain’t no fluke either. He showed promise in the Busch Series and won the championship in 2001 while doing double duty in cup, where he nabbed 2 wins, a 9th place points finish and ROTY, after running 35/36 races. There were already plans to put him in the #31 car full time in 2002.

    I still remember when I was a spotter for my grandfather when he was still driving . And a guy got pissed at him for accidentally bumping him going into turn 2 and almost spun him out. My grandfather was leading the race and there was 5 laps left. And he comes back and hit my grandfathers back bumper super hard in the straight away. And damaged the back real bad…my papaw won the race and then afterwards the guy jumps out the car and goes to start yelling at my papaw and my papaw turned around without saying a word and absolutely flattened him. Knocked him out and he fell straight on his back completely out. My papaw looked at the guys crew and told them to pick him up and take his dumbass home and if he ever comes over here again I’ll break his whole face. They didn’t say a word and picked him up and left. Never had any more issues after that.

    I was at the race in Kansas when Joey Lagano took out Matt Kensith. When he was doing donuts everyone was losing there minds haha I still got a video of it somewhere on my old phone. My brother got a really good video of the wreck and he was just at the top of the hill right next to it.
