"Plants don't want you to eat their seeds." Actually, plants work hard to entice animals to eat their seeds. Their fruits turn sweet and brightly colored so they will be eaten and the seeds pooped out elsewhere, encased in fertilizer to help them grow. This is what fruits are for: a reproductive advantage for the plant. Because this is common knowledge in biology, I fear that Dr Berry's diet may be impairing his cognition.
They just don't want us to crush their seeds tho, kek look at ancient almond we probably drop dead the instant we bite it. but overall they do want us to swallow their seeds 🛐 then poop
Yes, but the seeds that get eaten come back out intact in those cases, so they are able to sprout. So no, he's right that seeds don't want to be absorbed in someone's body. But that has very little to do with if they are good for us or not, because we have overcome the digestive limitations those seeds came up with through millions of years of evolution, and through techniques like crossbreeding, cooking, etc. Just like they have done with animals, crossbreeding them to become more docile to handle, cooking meat to avoid parasites and bacteria, and so on.
They "want" you to eat their fruit. They don't "want" you to eat their seeds - as in they don't want you to crush up and digest their seeds, just like they don't "want" you to eat their leaves and tubers and such. That doesn't mean any of that is unhealthy, tho. Animals certainly don't want you eating their bodies so...
Ate nothing but plants for 21 years and have somehow remained the same weight from b4 when I was a meatcuck. If plant nutrients are not bioavailable then it must be magical nutrients appearing from the spirit realm being fed into my body.
Thanks for calling out the misinformation one finds today. You are a valuable resource for us vegans. I'm 83 and have been vegan for 13 years. Not only did I lose 80 lbs. of fat, but all my health issues disappeared. Most importantly, I feel great, and what's better than feeling good? All my old friends are sick or dead, but they still won't listen to me about what they eat, smoke and drink. For a lot of people change is hard. Thanks again for your info. Keep up the good work.
Ate meat my entire life (high BP, high cholesterol, on 8 meds, tons of issues.. Went vegan in February off meds, lost 75 lbs, bp normal, cholesterol normal.... Trust.. Plants have Magic!
Sometimes I wonder if the prions are getting to carnivores' brains. And for the insane ones who eat raw meat, they probably have parasites in their brains.
I can get behind the blue berry's but you should avoid the walnuts and go for fish or red meat instead and if you refuse atleast take some creatine powder to clear your brain fog and regain reflex and cognitive ability
When I was big on vegetables for years. I finally realized I was sicker than hell. Horrible stomach and digestion issues. Horrible back and shoulder pain.. I fixed it by going steak salt water only. I've been eating this way for 2 years now. I will never touch another vegetable...
Okay. Anecdotal evidence. There's even more of that advocating for a vegan/vegetarian diet than a carnivore one. Worked for you, doesn't mean it will work for others.
Brussel sprouts also contain carcinogenic compounds. Fermented foods are not truly vegan as they have bacteria which are not plants. Fruit is designed to be eaten but seeds are not. Plants can be used as medicine, but commodity crops are so manipulated that they are not good food anymore. If meat is so bad how could I have been on a low carb meat based diet since 1983 and have no health issues? I believe that most people would benefit from a mixed diet of whole foods including animal and plant based foods. Some people seem to thrive plant based but all the ones I have know have crashed and burned. Vegetarian seems superior to vegan.
From a study looking at possible links between sprouts and gut enzyme activity. “A high intake of glucosinolate-containing cruciferous vegetables, such as Brussels sprouts (Brassica oleraceae), has been linked to a decreased cancer risk, but the underlying mechanism is still unclear.” Here is the bit of information from the study you are choosing to misquote. “However, in extremely high concentrations, some isothiocyanates may act as potential carcinogens. It's important to note that the levels of these compounds in Brussels sprouts are very low, and the health benefits of consuming them far outweigh any potential risks.”
Blows my mind when people claim to eat no plants. No herbs? No spices? No potatoes no ketchup? No mustard, vinegar, or oils?? No lemon, vanilla, mint, or chocolate???
It reminds of the time, about 20 years ago, I was eating my lunch at my desk at work, and I was eating red grapes. A guy stood over my desk, and said "oh, those look good". I offered him one, and he said "no thank you, they have too many carbs". I had this same conversation with this same guy a few months later, only it involved an apple. I can't even imagine my life without fruit - and grapes are my absolute LEAST favorite fruit.
I had a girl I worked with look over at me , as I ate my second ripe banana of the morning, and says to me " girl! That's your second banana?" I'm like "ya?" And she's like "wow, that's alot of carbs" I look at her and point to her bowl she's eating from "dude, you're literally eating oatmeal right now" 🤷🏼♀️🙈🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️ People are wildly misinformed and it's frustrating as all hell, as someone who does a massive amount of research and am certified in many ways proving I've studied the human body most of my life- and people also see how great I look for my age, how strong I am, how clear my mind is.. and yet they still treat me like I know nothing and don't take me seriously in the slightest. It's mind boggling .
There was a guy who once told us (a few girls) at lunch to not eat fruit, especially grapes because they’re so sugary, and mentioned that it’s what bears do too before hibernation in order to put on weight to survive the winter. The thing is I watched a documentary about bears and they can eat a lot of salmon (like 30 of them) and 90 lbs total food a day in that season. I don’t think a bear could get fat on berries! It’s so ridiculously funny people would think that. As a side note, I wonder if anyone’s tried to just live on berries! No, just meat, I guess.
@@growinjoy bears eat more than just berries. Black and brown bears eat 90% plants. And also, you’re not a bear and you don’t hibernate for the winter.

Not all Family Medicine boarded physicians think this way. The argument for the plant based diet is so overwhelming! Thanks Mic! Hope you are well brother!
I liked this video, honestly, people making these claims need to be checked and your research/fact-checking skills are great, thank you! as a person who is diving into health after a 15-year vegetarian binge eating disorder, I'm hearing everything and you are a great space for balance and evidence-based truth.
@Keto Craze Debunked yeah that’s what I ate. No oil, no processed food. Beans, whole grains, veggies and fruit and nuts and seeds. Vegan for 4 years, my health declined, my blood work too. Now that I accepted that veganism caused this i reintroduced meat and animal product and it’s going much better
it's breathtaking how somebody can just casually say 'Ive researched this deeply for 4 years' and then go on and spout the biggest nonsense of it all that essentially proofs that he didn't research properly whatsoever and was essentially just on a cherry-pick spree to find as much 'eat-corpses, theyre better than plants' nonsense as possible. surreal. on the other hand it's exactly what I'm expecting of humanity today. just surreal.
And he says he's been plant free for 3.5 of these years! So he apparently looked into the future to see what the result of his 'research' would be. Impressive.
I hate Ken Berry. I tried carnivore... my kidneys got worse. That man should be in jail. I'm now Raw vegan and all my health is getting better. I really miss potatoes and sweet potatoes but I'm trying to get parasites out of my body. Juicing oranges has been the best to get parasites out so far. I also take mms though to get them out.
I did carnivore for three months for weight loss. Lost 10lbs in 3 months, felt like crap the last month, dropped it two days ago and went plant based. I’m so sick of meat, eggs dairy etc. never ever bought into any of the BD about veggies being bad, I kale and knew plant based was the way to go, but wanted to try carnivore for weight loss. I was noticing dry skin, my mind was getting forgetful, I was tired all the time. Crapped 2 times a week but never felt ‘empty’. Any time I asked a support group about constipation, and if anyone has been on this diet and gotten tested for constipation (you can be constipated and still crap) but all I got was ‘your body absorbs more from meat so you make less waste’ 😂🙄 I felt so LIBERATED eating plant based.
I saw this and before even watching your response I’ll offer mine. “Even though I am not a Dr. of nutrition I use to recommend vegetables as good health promoters as this seemed a popular subject that would get me likes and views. But now since carnivore is all the rage and being promoted by popular YT celebs I have to change course and now declare that it is meat that is all healthy (and might get me more views) than those antiquated vegetables I (cough) once recommended.
@Sara Andersson well that was my interpretation of Dr. Ken’s stance switch regarding the subject and not my personal opinion of diet. This one flew right over your head.
Anyone who takes out sugar , seas oils , processed oils and processed carbs or any packaged food will automatically reverse all sorts of conditions. Now that being said the next step is to find out which Whole Foods are best for that individual. I did a vegan diet for 6 months and by 4 months I felt horrible, I’ve been carnivore 6 months and I feel great . Now that being said I believe in sauerkraut, pickles and any fermented foods . I will add those things back into my diet eventually. For now I’m doing this elimination diet for at least 1 year , then I will decide from there what I will bring back

I was retaining water and on a diuretic - When I started the diet water seemed to just drain from my body - Diuretic Stopped. I was taking at leased 6-9 Advil a day. Now very rarely have to take one. I use to be hungry All the time. Now I only need to eat once a day. Twice a day maybe once a week and I eat until I am comfortably stuffed! I use to eat tons of fiber including Metamucil. I was chronically constipated. Now I eat very little fiber and I am rarely constipated. I was dying and I owe Dr Ken Berry my live!!!!
Im the same. Although I am a bit younger..61 and i feel better now then i did when i was 30. Brother was a vegetarian, had chronic inflammation, went keto and inflammation is now gone. Mr. Berry is great. But we get so much conflicting information, find what works for you to give you a better quality of life and hope for the best I recon.
I’m not at all a vegan, but something doesn’t sit right when people say “vegetables are bad for you”. At least before we could all agree that processed food was bad, but now we can’t even agree on fruits and vegetables?
I like to refer to Dr. Campbell, who at the beginning of his research had the presupposition that more animal protein was needed for people to be healthier, but became an early proponent of a wfpb diet after studying mountains of scientific evidence.
I especially like the point made about diets where so many items are thrown out that it becomes impossible to narrow down (even a little) which one(s) were causing the problem(s). In my teens and twenties, although I had mild and sporadic facial acne, it was chronic on my back. Then, when I was 22, as an experiment, I cut out butterfat. My pimples on my back began diminishing in size and number immediately, and within a week I had zero acne. I had been a vegetarian since I was 16, and was one when I conducted this experiment. Am now a vegan. Anyway, great video.
If you are referring to mic than no he’s not wrong, however if your referring to Ken Berry if says he’s been wrong about everything. If you have to ask what he’s wrong about than you are totally disconnected from reality and all logic.
@@rockpoppets6182 I was vegetarian for almost a year and got so sick I was losing hair and having blackouts. It was also the time I had my first angina attack. All that disappeared when I started eating meat again. Meat heals. 😊
“Some people even notice a change in their mental health status if they eat too many plants” Yeah that happened to me when someone gave me mushrooms at a concert!
I've definitely only seen cognitive improvements when going plant-based: I even have Anki (a spaced repetition app I use for vocabulary learning) to prove it. Increasing my intake of fruit (I used to kinda struggle with it), especially the terrible blueberries (berries in general), was a huge thing. Shrooms I'd also consider overall beneficial. 😆
@@Anhonime I think my mental health could potentially be at a net negative with the nutritional benefits of my food vs. the negative social impact of being vegan in a world that doesn't give an eff. Being a vegan can very much be its own category of social anxiety.
What they fail to see is so-calld "antinutrients" are often very beneficial health. I think phytates are amazing. The more of them you eat, the more you will have of the bacteria which reduce them, counteracting their negative effect on the absorption of some minerals, while you some amazing health benefits from the bacteria. It would be helpful to not only see comparisons of plant-based or carnivore vs. other diets in terms of mortality, but also in terms of chronic illnesses and healthy life span, since these are even more relevant for people.
My mostly vegan meals are keeping me as healthy as anyone could be with my condition. My new doc even said "I'd never guess you had X". There is no one perfect way of eating, seriously. Not everything works for everyone. Some people seem to thrive on plant-based ways of eating, others on animal foods and others can be more omnivorous. 🤷🏻♀️ You have to figure out what works best for you. I disagree. Babies instincts are still intact until you condition them. Babies don't like vegetables for a reason because they are not human food. You dont need to force a baby to eat the proper human diet which is meat and eggs. And sugar doesn't count because sugar is a drug. And their is nothing in plants that are required for optimal health

Page 2/2 I'm A Carnivore & Love It... Saved My Life! After healing, our tissues are more sensitive for a while, so it seems like we are too, but it's actually a good thing our bodies can recognize damage from foreign material, have an inflammatory response, & begin healing quicker, & much more effectively. A cut that used to take me 3 months to heal, only takes 3 days now! If we become numb to the things that hurt us, we can't tell when we're being hurt, & this is no way to live. This is part of "knowing thyself" in ancient Greek Philosophy! We've lost touch with many parts of ourselves, but proper diet, sun, fresh air, & grounding, are pieces of this puzzle. In a low inflammatory state we are able to use mitosis & autophagy to heal. We don't recognize these senses & abilities, because they were stolen from us at birth, with spoonfuls of high glycemic foods that kicked us out of fat burning, & into a constant mind fogging inflammatory glucose burning state or a lifelong chronic state of pain that we become accustomed to, & we don't know is happening. We just become cranky, nutrient deficient, irritable people, usually with brain damage, before we realize anything is wrong, reducing cognitive abilities needed to save ourselves... chronic stress turns into narcissism soon after that. We are indoctrinated into a culture, with "multiple choice," giving us the illusion of freedom, but almost every turn is a trap. We can't stop doing things that harm us, even after realizing how bad they are, because of addictive substances pushed on to us by greedy corporations. Food Bliss points & addictions are real, & even small addictions turn into big ones. I researched many different condiments, hidden complex carbs, lab synthesized addictive substances they add to foods, or even just basic spices with small amounts of plant defense chemicals, plant toxins, anti-nutrients, & carbs to feed a bad bacteria that signals us to crave bad foods. When we get down to the science of everything, we realize how everything is connected. Dr. Anthony Chaffey says that removing the last 5% of this stuff makes us feel 90% better. It's easy to overlook anti-nutrients & defense chemicals in seasonings, & artificial sweetener, or electrolyte powders with "natural flavors," which could be addictive insulin, & dopamine spiking artificial sweeteners, or over 200 other things... Small amounts of dead bugs are under this category, & L-cysteine is an amino acid used to lengthen the shelf-life of products like bread, & can come from human hair, chicken or duck feathers, & cow horns! Potentially harmful artificial & synthetic chemicals are often used in the processing of natural flavors, & these don't have to be listed on nutrition labels. These are food manufacturing byproducts that our bodies don't recognize, & cause repeated inflammatory responses or chronic inflammation that eventually results in autoimmune disease, cancer, & death! Our bodies are highly sensitive once we're cleaned out. Even low glycemic sweeteners, like Allulose, Stevia, & Monk fruit will affect us negatively in minimal ways. So when we're putting in just a little bit we still feel it. Most condiments are full of harmful lab synthesized chemicals. These chemicals cause more damage to our bodies than we realize, when we're numb. Remaining in an inflamed state prevents us from healing. Our healed rebuilt tissues are more sensitive, but it's a good thing to know when there's incoming damage, so that our bodies can react to heal quicker. Chronic pains most accept as normal parts of aging, improve, or disappear entirely... I feel Amazing, pain free, satiated, & beyond happy... Euphoric! I had autoimmune diseases, insulin resistance, & cancer, about to die! Now with the proper fuel, & a healed mind, I understand why! Now, I expect to live to be 120... To think I spent most of my life wishing it would all just end! We've been lied to! We need to erase the lies from our mind, especially in the areas of faulty medical science, & the censoring of real history that controls these false narratives, such as the Inquisitions, Crusades, & many other homicidal events... Deceitful corrupt religious rule, & governmental control, oppression, legalized slavery, brainwashing schools, & tactics, etc... Gaslighting, subliminal messages, & catchphrases on repeat until we believe them. They literally drug us with thousands of chemicals to reduce our cognitive abilities, make us more docile, manipulatable, & susceptible to their deceit! There's a way to break free from this trap! The first step is to STOP drinking, cooking, & bathing with Fluoride that calcifies the pineal gland, short circuits our brain, & causes Dental & Skeletal Fluorosis, reducing teeth & bone mineral density, making them weak & brittle. Fluoride is in nearly everything that municipal water touches, & is added to many products. Toxic fluoride & bromide compete with essential iodine & chloride absorption & effects thyroid function, resulting in debilitating mood disorders like hypo/hyperthyroidism & Hashimoto's. There is no essential carb. We're forced to create excessive amounts of insulin that causes diabetes when we eat too much sugar & carbs. We become lost in a fog that we don't realize we're in, then we don't realize we're not supposed to be eating them. Glucose feeds bad bacteria that send us hunger signals. Too much fat won't hurt us, it will just come out in our stool. We've been fear mongered into believing that fat is bad, but it is essential! Fat is good for us, & we need to be burning fat in order to absorb our "fat soluble" vitamins. Fat doesn't make us fat... High insulin producing food such as sugar, carbs, processed foods, & other things our bodies don't recognize, & have to get out of the way, is what makes us fat. Insulin is a hormone that sends a signal to our body to store fat. The higher the insulin spike, the more fat we store. This is why high glycemic foods cause us to gain more weight. Even seeing, smelling, chewing food, or sipping on sugary drinks will create a small insulin response. Our bodies only burn glucose first as a defense mechanism. Glucose creates the same inflammatory response to our cells, & similar levels of addictive dopamine signaling in the addiction centers of our brain, as meth & cocaine! Glucose burns similarly to rocket fuel, fast, volatile, & erratic in a way that's damaging to cells. The deaths of many carb loading bodybuilders show clear evidence, & the results dictate the outcome of burning glucose for fuel! We produce insulin to signal our bodies to turn sugar, carbs, fructose, & honey into glucose to be stored as unhealthy, but usable starvation fuel or glycogen stores. This is the subcutaneous fat under our skin, visceral fat smothering our organs, & glycating into a sticky syrup like substance, as it lingers in our blood, & arteries, eventually hardening, clogging them, causing heart attacks & strokes. Insulin is produced to protect us & signals our bodies to promptly store away high levels of dangerous sticky glucose. The insulin that we can produce is limited, especially without proper nutrients, & the thyroid mechanisms responsible for this process can wear out, causing diabetes. Carbs mixed with protein, or worse fructose combined with protein, when consumed, & metabolized together, create sticky proteins or glycation, that clogs arteries faster. We have to figure out the amount of fat we need, which varies based on our size, activity levels, & energy needed to heal. It wasn't until I was running on ketones for fuel that I realized how much power we use for our brain. Cognitive & regenerative abilities increase tremendously while running on ketones! Jesus said, "Eat split out animals that two cud." (Leviticus 11) “Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:32) Eating 90% meat based is good, 95% is great, 100% is amazing! Regeneratively raised grass-fed ruminants with access to a diversity of grass, & nutrient dense weeds will contain the highest, "cleanest" levels of nutrients. Ruminants both "clean" the meat, & make the nutrients more absorbable & this is important! Some examples of ruminants are lamb, goat, deer, elk, bison, & cattle. We can also eat small scaled fish with fins such as sardines & salmon, & minimal amounts of other meats such as chicken, turkey & pork. Fish should be wild caught. These animals don't filter contaminants, & must be fed their ancestrally evolved appropriate diets. Eating much more than this becomes gluttonous, & we pay for it with our health. Microplastics & forever chemicals are contaminating practically everything, but eating ruminants with unique long digestive tracts can reduce our consumption of many of these contaminants. Wean into the carnivore diet, the oxalate dumping period (diarrhea) of flushing stored contaminants over decades of eating inappropriately, can be brutal! This only lasts a short time, then we heal, & feel amazing. Autoimmune diseases & even most cancers can be cured with appropriate nutrients in adequate amounts. This is because most diseases are actually nutritional deficiencies & damaged cells from environmental pollutants. Most Cancers are metabolic diseases, caused by toxins & fake food! Ten month old and this video is still going strong. I watch Dr. Berry's videos for entertainment purposes. I have seen this video of his before and you brake down is most helpful. It is strange, all of these Keto talkers begin to sound the same. Thanks.🌻
They sound the same because they talking about the same thing using same data and findings. In non-meat eating circles they mostly argue with each other. Vegetarianism is the way, no Vegan, no Raw Vegan, no Fruitarian. Quote: Lie have many forms and shapes but truth is only one.
@@scasny In this case, my "Truth" is Utilitarian. The goal is the greatest good for the most. When it comes to low-carb thinkers, they may all agree on their data, but the issue is: "Is it good for the greatest number of beings for the longest time?" Those in meat eating circles sound the same because they all seek to justify the unjustifiable. Us in non-meat eating circles all agree about striving towards being Plant-Based. Veganism, in general, is reverence for the well being of all life. When it comes to the human diet we are against the murder of sentient life. 🌻
The dude literally made a video saying oatmeal and all grains are unhealthy. He completely ignored the fact that oats are HIGH in fiber. It was ridiculous.
Lock up Mic before he discourages more people from finding a solution to their health problems!!! could also be said. I don't agree with Dr. Berry on LDL, but he has helped a lot of people and is mostly a good information source.
Low carb diets benefit many people. Of course, there are exceptions. Like if you have hypothyroidism you can’t go too low on the carbs. Or if you’re into some serious sports.
You have created a strawman for Dr. Ken Berry due to your emotional attachment to vegetables. Virtually every study you pulled up, Dr. Ken has picked apart and provided studies and anecdotal evidence to support his stance. You just so happened to click a video he made that was designed to be controversial, short, and concise for easy digestion of the material for the average listener. To see all his supporting studies he cites regularly, you would need to watch some of his longer talks where he provides that evidence for you and links to the studies he pulls from. With regards to LDL, there was a study that showed that elderly people with high LDL vs low, actually have lower mortality rates by a very significant amount. You'll need to so your own research on cholesterol and our misunderstanding on the significant essential role cholesterol plays on our body. You also missed that the entire time he says "some of us" not "all of us". He has talked extremely in depth about this before, but what he is referring to is ancestral and genetic markers that may result in an intolerance to plants and carbohydrates. This is typically due to how many of our ancestors adapted to a particular environment and way of living. He makes it clear that those who come from a lineage of people who adapted to a higher intake of plants and carbs, that maybe keto or carnivore isn't for them, but those who come from areas of which adapted to high fat/protein and low sugar/carb, may have better results sticking to a diet that their ancestors adapted to. There are many areas where veggies and fruit were either completely unavailable, or only available for a brief period out of the year, and those people historically ate mostly meat. You speak about food intolerance and allergies that we may be unaware of, so I want to give my own anecdotal experience as an example: I absolutely love vegetables, and for the longest time I ate a high vegetable diet while still eating meat. Problem is, I suffer from chronic IBSD which occurs from the high inflammation in my gut. I thought maybe I had a food allergy, so under the direction of my doctor, I began cutting out different foods one by one until I found the problem source. After years of experimenting, I wasn't able to pinpoint it, but what I did find out is that I was especially sensitive to eggs. So, I went vegan working with a dietician and did that for 6 months. The vegan diet made my IBSD worse than it ever has been before. Then I stumbled upon some scientists, epidemiologists, and surgeons having a discussion about the carnivore diet and how it is a diet that is proven to decrease the inflammation in the gut, along with many other health benefits, so I decided to give it a try. After only two weeks, I no longer suffered ANY symptoms of IBSD. Not only this, but my testosterone levels are up, I no longer need medication for ADHD, my energy levels are through the roof, and my cardio endurance in BJJ is better than it ever has been. It is also worth mentioning that I eat 30% less calories than before, even eating these high fat foods because I don't get cravings anymore and I feel full for much much longer, and my body processes that energy much more efficiently without any spikes in my bloodsugar. Another strange thing, I no longer have an intolerance to eggs as my gut has adapted its bacterium to properly digest. Anyway, my point is that, sure, maybe this diet isn't for you, but to say it is objectively bad and not good for anyone, is false. There are a significant number of people who would greatly benefit based on their biological markers that indicate that this is an ancestral appropriate diet for them specifically.
Well, a medical doctor who goes on RUclips trashing plants as unhealthy food for humans should be responded to and debunked if that is what the scientific data supports.
This is so crazy to me. After being tested by a functional doctor and coming up with total cholesterol on the high end (178) he recommended a low-carb high-fat diet. That appointment was for gut health. It’s just true fibrous veggies can’t be the culprit of bad gut health! Instead of a whole food diet I was given an herbal supplement that was way too strong, and made me worse. Anyway, thanks so much! I’ve been watching your videos for a while. I found them after watching all the popular low-carb stuff playing out online. Your videos are very helpful and very informative. They answer so many questions for me. I love trusting science because it helps me realize people are working for our health who care about us and the planet! Since watching I’ve been wanting to go plant-based, which helped me to learn more about nutrition! Thanks, Mic the Vegan!!
I went whole foods vegan a little over 1 year ago and I lost 10 pounds and I cured my arthritis of the knees. I was in so much pain and now I'm walking 4 and 5 miles per day! I'm 66 years old. My knees feel good! There are great long term studies like the China study that prove how healthy plant based diets are. All the blue zones eat mainly plant based. There is another reason to eat your veggies!
The irony of this is his wife has a youtube channel called "niesha loves it" and she does ketovore and has alot of veggies you can eat! This pisses me off ! We are a world of grifters. I will take my veggies! Why? Because l love them. Oh by the way , his wife has an " occasional " glass of wine!
I don't have anything against vegetables, but unless you can afford all organic vegetables, you are eating glyphosate (of course livestock feeds make sure you get it from meat too). This is why you should avoid GMO's, because they were developed to be resistant to glyphosate. Glyphosate is banned in many countries because it is linked to cancer. This stuff is also sprayed on oats and grains to dry them quicker for harvest. From the NIH: Glyphosate was found to increase glutamate release and decreased its reuptake, in addition to activating NMDAR and L-VDCC, thus increasing the influx of Ca2+ into neurons. Likewise, the results analyzed herein reflect the capacity of glyphosate to induce oxidative stress, neuroinflammation, and mitochondrial dysfunction, processes that lead to neuronal death by autophagia, necrosis, or apoptosis, as well as the appearance of behavioral and motor disorders. Although there are important discrepancies between the findings analyzed in this review, it is unequivocal that exposure to glyphosate, alone or in commercial formulations, can produce important alterations in the structure and function of the nervous system of humans, rodents, fish, and invertebrate animals. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9101768/#:~:text=Glyphosate%20also%20seems%20to%20exert,of%20behavioral%20and%20motor%20disorders. Glyphosate has damaged our food supply, but it did make Monsanto rich. Their studies showing the damage were "adjusted" to show safety. Law suits are under way.
11 grams of carbs in a handful of brussels sprouts is certainly not "ridiculously low". Keto diet allows you to eat less than 20 grams of carbs per day. And Mic also seems to confuse carbs with calories, they are two different things.
I'm Transgender. When I started my transition in 2020, I also transitioned my diet to vegetarian. I eat veggies, plant-based meats and legumes. I only bring this up, because of my transition I have labs done every six months and they check everything. They always comeback perfect. Also, I work at Amazon. The work is extremely physical, and I run circles around the meat eaters especially after lunch. They come back all lethargic and I'm hyped up ready to go.
All the vegans I know are pale, lethargic, and sickly. Teeth are going downhill as well. Bless your heart it's working for you. I keep a balance of both. Organic, grass fed.l and vegetables.
@@SpiritAA And, you are "compassionate" and slaughter your own "happy"animals?. Do you realize the animals are an absent referral to you, they are talked about by the way they are "raised", as products, objects, and things to be slaughtered and used. Their life has no value except as human food?. You would not take your dog or cat to a slaughterhouse to be put down. Many vegans do not eat healthfully even though they actually care about animal lives, processed foods are not nutritious. Many omnivores are not eating healthfully and eat processed foods--the hospitals and morgues are full of them. I have met dozens of omnivores who are pale and sickly. Its' time you met healthy vegans who eat whole plant foods like me for 25+ years. Or, look at photos of Nimai Delgado, lifetime vegetarian and then vegan, much more muscular than you or I. I know that the natural animals are not "happy" in the slaughterhouse and fear for their lives/ Watch "earthlings" documentary and see the truth.
This is hilarious 😂 so how do you know if these "meat" eaters are exclusively eating meat? How much processed junk food are they eating? You can't just say "meat" eaters when their diets are probably full of other stuff that's not meat!! And what the hell does transitioning have to do with being vegan!? Lol

My first reaction to him saying he's spent the last 3 and a half years eating no veg or fruit (and this may be silly) was "is that why he is so red?" then he said something about plant foods causing inflammation in particular when he mentioned arthritis. I used to have really bad joint pain and two doctors - one an osteopath and the other a GP - both told me that animal proteins, gluten and dairy products accumulate toxins in joints, causing pain and arthritis. I stopped eating all three and lo and behold, no more joint pains. This "doctor" strikes me as eager to grow his channel. He repeated that he was wrong way too many times, probably with the idea that saying it often enough might convince people unfortunate enough to stumble on his videos that they too have been wrong. I mean, he's a doctor, right, so he must know what he's talking about, right? obviously, wrong. He also frequently said that what he was explaining was true for 'some' people and yet, at the end of the video he encourages anyone and everyone to try the 90 day diet of meat and fat only. What happened to 'some' people?
So which one of the three actually cause the issue lol. You just blamed all three. Gluten 1000% cause issues. Most people are lactose intolerant and there’s a reason for that. But animal proteins…. yeah that wasn’t the issue I can guarantee it.
I've seen a couple of these carnivore crazy's videos lately. One of their claims is always "most plants are poisonous", and they completely ignore the fact that most herbivores specialize on a food source or a small subset of plants.
Sigh. Another jaw droppingngly bizarre video, thankfully another needed and satisfactory response video. Great going, keep it up. 👏💐. The format is fine, actually not all that different somehow. But yes the impromptu responses add a freshness and 'relatability' - not that those are lacking in the regular videos. So all good, thanks. 👍😊
I've watched several videos from carnivore based and vegan based and I've concludes that their are some people who benefit from carnivore and some who benefit from vegan or vegetarian diets. Whatever benefits the person gets he or she should stick to it. At the end of the day it's how you feel not what the studies say. I've seen a lot of videos of people who have tried different diets before going to the keto or carnivore diet. So before bad mouthing someone on what is right or wrong with his point of view look at his experiences in a clinical settings as he has. He's had his own issues and he's cleaned them on carnivore. He even advocated the standard American diet for years in his practice and found that this or keto works for his patients. Further it seems that studies can be found to scue a point of view either way. He monitors his bloodwork frequently so it doesn't seem to be bad for him.
"Plants don't want you to eat their seeds."
Actually, plants work hard to entice animals to eat their seeds.
They just don't want us to crush their seeds tho, kek look at ancient almond
we probably drop dead the instant we bite it.
but overall they do want us to swallow their seeds 🛐 then poop
Fruits are ok the seeds stems leaves are toxic parts of plants
Berry is copypaste parroting talking points that Steven Grundry came up with.

Okay. Anecdotal evidence. There's even more of that advocating for a vegan/vegetarian diet than a carnivore one. Worked for you, doesn't mean it will work for others.
Yea these are common issues and obviously expected , doesn't makes the diet bad though
Most vegans are young people and not yet suffer from deficiencies, and carnivores are in their 60s looking like they are in their 30s.
“A high intake of glucosinolate-containing cruciferous vegetables, such as Brussels sprouts (Brassica oleraceae), has been linked to a decreased cancer risk, but the underlying mechanism is still unclear.”
Here is the bit of information from the study you are choosing to misquote.
Even lions eat plants. Those people are clowns. They should watch Animal Planet or Discovery once in a while. lol
Some of these carnivore crazies don't. Meat, butter, and tons of salt seems to be all they consume.
And no joy
Oh they still eat spices. And tea/coffee. Apparently those are not plants.
@Anya Skirko I dont lol only salt 😃. Its definitely different from a vegan diet 😅. Not as much color for sure.
That's your second banana?" I'm like "ya?" And she's like "wow, that's alot of carbs"
I look at her and point to her bowl she's eating from "dude, you're literally eating oatmeal right now"

Some people seem to thrive on plant-based ways of eating, others on animal foods and others can be more omnivorous. 🤷🏻♀️ You have to figure out what works best for you. Others can make suggestions but you really gotta do your own research, consult legit professionals and experiment on your own.
I like this format in video, in fact I like it just as much as your normal videos, so keep them coming if you want to make them! I'll watch em all.

I disagree. Babies instincts are still intact until you condition them. Babies don't like vegetables for a reason because they are not human food. You dont need to force a baby to eat the proper human diet which is meat and eggs. And sugar doesn't count because sugar is a drug. And their is nothing in plants that are required for optimal health

There is a series of vids on keto. I watched 19 hours of it and he is FAR from the only person/expert/medical professional saying these things. I am not keto because I stunt like the taste of animal fat but the studies stand up. As for the studies on this video, just seeing the heading doesn't cut it. You need to read all of it and see who is funding it before you can even begin to analyse them correctly.

I'm A Carnivore & Love It...

Those in meat eating circles sound the same because they all seek to justify the unjustifiable. Us in non-meat eating circles all agree about striving towards being Plant-Based. This format was great, Mic! I am very curious to find out more about the particular veggies that help mitigate macular degeneration.
For this, he needs to be open-minded and intellectually honest, which will never happen. He likes to cherry-pick and then eat them.
The thing about Dr Ken Berry and Dr Eric Berg, they’re not on RUclips crapping on Mic the Vegan’s channel.
Well, a medical doctor who goes on RUclips trashing plants as unhealthy food for humans should be responded to and debunked if that is what the scientific data supports.
Because they would loose.
This is so crazy to me. After being tested by a functional doctor and coming up with total cholesterol on the high end (178) he recommended a low-carb high-fat diet. That appointment was for gut health.
It’s just true fibrous veggies can’t be the culprit of bad gut health!
