Though it came first, the Scion tC plays second fiddle to the hot, new FR-S. However, this refreshed 2014 model does boast a few advantages over her younger sibling. - Развлечения
its nice to see car makers encouraging aftermarket upgrades a little bit instead locking everything down so it cost you a butt load to customize for yourself. Great review thanks!
No, is because Cooley is not in the video..
papixrico HDP
That has nothing to do with what he just said.
Nowhere as good as COOLYYYY but way better than that other guy
This guy is getting better and better, keep up the good work man.
I agree...he is definitely getting better. I find him a more relaxing though slightly less informative then Cooley.
McRocket He needs to look into the camera more. I feel like hes reading off a teleprompter or something
The reason why this review has so many dislikes is probably because he said that the Sport Mode is "technically a manual".
I think it's more likely to the absence of Cooley they press dislike
behold! 7 years later it has no dislikes at all!! that means it's a perfect review right?
This guy's getting better, keep it up!
How is not having daytime running lights cheap? Not all high-end cars have that. I think its more of an aesthetic thing.
He's getting better with his reviews.
Please do more shots of the insides of vehicles,a nice panoramic view of front and back for a couple seconds helps alot. :)
No Cooley No watch.
Yet you still commented on this review🙄
I would buy this over the frs anyday! I sat in the frs and I felt extremely cramped and uncomfortable. With all the texting morons on the streets these days being in a hard to see, low slung coupe is just asking for trouble!
A sad country you must live in...
Is the car too cramp or your body is a little wide?
mercedescl I found the seats to be just right. They are much thinner than big American cars that hold 7 people. The BRZ/FRS Bucket Seats make sure you do not slide when turning corners, which I get far too often in the Toyota Highlander.
S.M.P but why are you comparing a RWD low slung coupe to a FWD crossover SUV? I wouldn't ever expect a Highlander to have tight bolstered sport seats considering it's a 3 row SUV. That makes no sense.
The 2008-2015 scion xb beats the FRS through the 1/8 mile so zip it
Good review
Preferably all black cabin as well, personal install led mood lighting
Mine has a little spoiler and it changes the look so much
This car looks great
The engine does not use direct injection. It uses port-fuel injection. It is exactly the same engine found in the Toyota Camry and Toyota RAV4.
There is a small niche market for these. Most people who drive these (like myself) don’t care that they’re not fast. I bought the release series 10 because of how it looks. With the body kit, the lowering springs, dual exhaust etc. it looks good. It’s not my daily. I have a sport bike that I daily and if I want to go fast, I have that. This is a fun little car that offers a lot for its price. Plus you can customize it with the million aftermarket parts one can put on it. Including a turbo. So what you save on not buying a more expensive car with more power, you can put into this car to make it fast.
What's your idea of slow? So this car is super slow right?
@@oreally8605 Oh yeah. 170 hp. I think. My bike has around the same. I got rid of the scion some time ago. But it’s a great car. Economical, value focused and fun. Just not practical where I live now.
This car is a cost cutters special - in every facet of the car.
Makes me almost shit myself to think what the 2015 mustang with the 5.0 will be like I mean it will weight I believe as much as a focus St so 400lbs lighter.... But can't count out Challenger damn it is going to be hard to choose a car next year when my lease is up
good job dude keep it up
its a nice car i get double looks at it when i drive by and it had led lights leather seats gps a nice ass moon roof and with 18inch rims for 24k? why not? plus its scion owned by toyota i feel its all opinions but in my own opinion i would perfer this scion than a civic and that is why i have one
Where's Brian Cooley!
The tc being quick off the jump has nothing to do with the angle of your foot. That's just how tc's take off (you get used to it). You'll never win a race with a tc, but you'll get a good first lead (before you get passed quite easily)...
2:00 listen with your volume really high and you'll hear a weird noise
lol I heard it
cooley 0.6 beta
Wheres brian cooley man first he was off top 5 now the cars WTF!!!
Where's Brian Cooley!!!
It's not cheap enough to forgive its weaknesses. I'd rather save up a little bit more for a much better car.
Like what? Near that price range?
@@oreally8605 After ten years almost, I'd rather have this over other cars infested with CVTs these days.
we want cooley!
Looks like a carolla from the front.
"What the heck is a ruff?" said the Canadian.
Canadians don't say that bud.
SeverdSeouL I know. That's why I asked.
Roof not ruff
CNET is shafting their non-Cooley personalities in the RUclips credits. Did Cooley write this? Is he starring in it? I don't see Antoine's name anywhere. For the record, Cooley is a demigod of sorts, but come on, CNET, don't be lazy with your RUclips channel. Give Antoine is credit.
cooley is the man, i am not watcing this guy
he talks like a snake would talk
Better to have Antuan over Wayne when you don't have Cooley...
i still have my 2015... and i wont sell it
"Direct injection" ????
toyota just lost what everyone liked about the 1st gen tc. Hopefully the 3rd gen (if they make it) will go back to its routs.
31 hw for 179 hp? what crap. chevys are giving the same mpg for 305 hp...
If you are referring to the Chevy impala at 305 hp it does 28 mpg hw and there version on the 2.5 l engine impala just like this tc, 30 mpg hw. So I guess the tc ain't too shabby.
Chevy is a piece of crap
no cooley? bye
I don't understand the Tc any more. I'd take mazda3 6 speed or for 3 grand more get a civic Si with 200+hp, LSD, 18 in wheels, apple car play or 5 grand more get a focus ST or WRX. Heck I can't believe I'm. Saying this but I'd take a corolla over this car.
Then you're fooling yourself
ruff line lol
I give Scion 5 years before Toyota nukes the brand.
You mad bro?
Not at all. Scion is a failure (look at the steady sales decline). Scion FRS will be rebadged as Toyota GT, others will go bye bye.
Your prediction will not come true sir. Scion is in the midst of a revamp. The xB and xD are being fazed out and new models will be coming out...Scion is switching to a more sporty approach/image as is emphasized with the FR-S and tC's recent changes. The FR-S has been a huge success and the tC still sells decently.
mountainhobo you were close lol
thought only canadians say "roof" like that
He maybe is Canadian. But English speakers are not confined to say a word in a particular way due to geographic location.
is it me or did anyone else notice this guy's accent keep switching back and fourth between normal and kinda fruity?
oh god it's ROOF not Ruff!. You're human not canine!
241 people are deaf
I tought a taw a pooty tat
First comment!
This is a total chick car and everyone I've seen driving one thinks it's a sports car. Tailgating people and always passing people up.
seriously! pretentious car,
Not after a TRD Supercharger
flat rooof
This is just a really badly designed car. This is supposed to be a compact sport coupe, but it weighs as much as a mid-size car and basically gets the MPG of a full-size car. If Toyota wants to keep this model around, they should basically re-skin the Corolla with a 2-door body, firm up the suspension appropriately, and add the Scion tC badges.
A gay guy reviewing a car is like a woman driving a car, just impractical
So are hairy backs.
Dude is married to a woman...
But he's not like to the hairy backed manly men.
I think Toyota kinda screwed up here. Should've saved the angular, masculine look for the BRZ, and kept the Tc pleasant & bubbly; b/c the FR-S is a RWD sports car (although it needs a TRD supercharger kit badly), and the Tc is a FWD chick-car. Aren't they kinda splitting the demographic by offering the FR-S while manning-up the Tc? ...or maybe they're trying to separate the ricers from the real enthusiasts?
Ha, Ha, Ha... sporty, fun, lol. No, never, not even once. Ugly, bloated and stupid yes. Calling this a sporty coupe is like calling a 7 series a city car.
