Really bummed it's been discontinued, a long with the scion name. I have one with a manual and it's a ton of fun. Reminds me of the car it sort of replaced, the celica, and it always felt like it should have gotten an XRS version or something of that nature, maybe a turbo charged engine or something to attract the sports car crowd
buildmorefarms100 I looked at 2012 GTI, but fortunately looked at the CarFax. It had already had 4 previous owners. Four!? I actually ended up buying a one-owner 2012 tC. I like it, except for a few places where Toyota went *too* cheap. The bare hard-plastic armrest is one that comes up a lot. The driver's seat squeaks, and the gas pedal wobbles. I test drove a 2015, but I didn't like the matte black grille and rear bumper insert or the wheels. Besides the shift paddles, they haven't changed much else.
Idk how Kia will do compared to Toyota with 150k miles on them my moms Scion xB has 203k miles on it and runs like a champ I’d go with a Toyota more reliable and if you ever plan on selling it Itll be easy too

With seats folded down, lots of space. I fit an entire futon in the back!
I own the release series 10.0. And handles really good. Of course I do have trd springs and DC sports strut bar. I love taking it on twisty roads.
I'm 53 and this is a fun little car. Peppy with a manual and corners very well. I can get a kayak inside the car so practical as well.
The more people hate the tC the more I want one.
I will buy that car and ill stick with it for a very long time. It will be as reliable as some toyota products.
