Haha, I can see why. I've heard the color called traffic stop red. The actual paint is called Absolutely Red. I've had many compliments on mine and used a ceramic shine product from TORQUE. I Absolutely love my 2015 tC. It looks better than the day I bought it new. I love to detail as much as I can afford to. Looking for a rear spoiler right now
Best Vehicle I have ever owned and I have had an '86 Corolla gt-s, '91 Corolla GT-S(BOTH 5 SPD), Nissan Maxima('03), Toyota tundra(2007), and a presently have a GMC Sonoma and a Lexus GX 470 in addition to my 2015 Scion tC(6-spd). Easiest to work on repair wise, quick off the block, gets great gas mileage, cool sounding exhaust, and I just loooove the dual sunroof. A sports car isn't complete without a sunroof. Thanks for the thorough video. I'm driving it til the wheels fall off. I even bought my daughter one (09) because i like Scions so much.
I have a 2006 tC. *Things to love* 1. Space. With the 2nd row down, you can put in a bike or two. Also the passenger seat goes down flat too, you can put very long object in it, better than CRV! 2. The spec&quality are superior in this price range. 17" alloy wheel, sound system, moonroof, etc. 3. Probably the fastest in this price range, and handles well. 4. Real 2nd row, better than a lot compact 4-doors. *Not so happy* 1. Understeer if you push too hard. But it's a FF, and no LSD. 2. Stock tires have terrible grip. 3. Toyota went cheap removing the auto window down for passenger side. 1st gen has both auto.
@@MegaNiQ I drove the manual before I bought my automatic, personally I actually prefer the automatic. Though, there's a lot of stop and go traffic where I live, so the extra acceleration wasn't worth it for me. Especially since the automatic is pretty peppy on its own, though I feel like between second and third they could shorten the shift range just a bit to make it a little faster.
I really wish I could have gotten this car...but it was over my budget, I ended up getting a 2013 Honda civic coupe. Even though I love the car that I have, I still look back at this car, and everytime I look at it im like "Man this is an amazing car"
Trade it Mike! A family member owns an 09 TC and he absolutely loves it. No problems except for just regular wear and tear but interior quality is on the lower side with hard touch plastics and cloth with no leather appointed option, if you can mind all that then it is a great car to have. Don't have any experience with the current gen TC though but it looks good.
I love my 2014 Manogram package Scion TC I have navigation, backup cámara, leather and heated seats. TRD package. Sport pedals, fog lights, rear spoiler, blue neon lights inside and under the car. The car has lots of other little details. I am in love with my Scion TC
That Scion TC 4 cylinder engine is the same one that the Toyota Camry and the RAV4 have, what a tremendous machine and even more so if it is manual transmission. A car that will not let you down at any time.
Scion's have always been very roomy type of cars that's what they're known an good gas mileage. One thing that surprised me is that the Scion TC's did not come with backup camera but the 2015 models came with navigation and Bluetooth
Good buy. My wife got hers brand new in 2011 and I just got her a brand new Rav so I decided to just take it over and trade in my car since it was much older. So far I’m not disappointed. Great on gas and is kind of zippy. It’s a Toyota so it will last forever. I’ll drive it around for a few years until we pay off the rav4 then maybe trade it in for something bigger for myself. Maybe a highlander or Tacoma. But the Scion is a great little car. Plus they don’t make Scion anymore so I think that adds to the cool factor. IMO of course.
I sure hope you bought the tC. I have the exact one you are reviewing . Everything you said is true. However, first get rid of the hood rod! I put in struts So much nicer. I'm not worried the hood will come down on my head while I'm filling the windshield fluid. I have noticed that the drivers side air vent doesn't have the same force as the others. Thanks for pointing out the arrow next to the gas symbol.. I've got lots more stuff to day about how I LOVE MY 2015 SCION tC.
@@TheSuburban15 yes and at times if not in use can get in the way on turns:/ I've hit mine many times. But also I can't find many things I don't like about my car. I love it
Great review best I've seen so far. I was hoping you were going to show the visor extensions. My dumb fiesta doesn't have them but my old camry did makes a big difference. Very in depth video watch if you are curious about this car.
I picked up a 2016 tC recently and love it although I kind of wish I'd gotten the automatic instead of the manual. Manual is fun, but auto is just so much better for commuting.
I know this video is over 3 years old now, and I doubt you're still reading old comments, but my local dealership has a used one for sale at $17k CAD (~$13K USD, all my prices in the rest of this comment will be in CAD) and I am looking at it for my first car. It has everything you showed in the video plus TRD performance wheels and TRD exhaust, and only 37,000kms (~23,000 miles) on it, plus it's through a reputable Toyota dealership that my dad has a friend at, and has sold my family 2 cars before, so I'm sure I could get $1000 to $1500 knocked off the price. I'm 18 and have a full-time job and no college, although I only have $11k in my bank rn and my monthly income is just under $2k for most months, and insurance rates for me will probably be around or just under $400 per month (based off my friend who has a 2008 Golf GTI he got for $10k and he's a few months older than me and his monthly insurance bill is around $350). I would like to try to keep around half of my income so at $400 insurance I could manage $600 monthly payments, and I would put around a $6-8k down payment on Is it worth going into debt right now to get a car while I have no living expenses (I live with my parents and like mentioned before no college, although my mom works at a local one that I can go to free for). It's a low mileage 3 year old car that comes from a reliable brand that realistically I could use for the next 10 years or so, providing I don't get into any accidents.
whats the difference of the 2014 oppose to 2015? is the difference in the hood? the exterior and interior looks the same to me .. is that true? reason im asking is being im trying to figure out to either get the 2014 for cheaper price or get 2015 for a bigger upgrade that im not seeing ?! anyone who knows the answer to this please comment!!
+Respawn The RSX is actually pretty tiny. The tC isn't as small as it looks in 2D. It's about the same size as most compact 4-door cars. It is oddly proportioned, so it looks smaller than it is.
The exterior color of this tC is known as "Arrest Me Red"
Accurate know someone that got arrested recently and had a red car
I always got arrested with a blue one😂

Dammit I want this car now. Reliability of a Camry but it retains practicality, gains beauty and sound stage.
It’s got some oomph also, especially if you get a manual transmission

That part in the trunk that you're asking is a tow hook that goes in front bumper there should be an square opening

that thing wad a tow hook you pop a little square out in the bumper and screw it in
never knew about the gas cap holder until now lol.
Btw its a tow hook that you screw into either the rear or front bumper thats used to pull a car on a flatbed
I leased the red 2016. I freaking love it. I'm in love with the sunroof
how much you pay in total? i'm trying to lease one but the rs7.0
Eeek. So you never had it paid off to enjoy for years?

The tc's are amazing, my first car was a scion tc RS 4.0 #1388
Awesome video Mike! I love Scions and the tC is sweet.
maxxtruck9906 i think he needs to do an acura tlx
maxxtruck9906 you know that car with the button gearshift
That's a good sounding engine for the amount of power it puts out
Yes trade that would be awesome with the paddle shifters
+Luke Worrell The automatic doesn't shift very quickly as a manual. Just put it in Drive.

I remember the first generation of the TC they were sporty then and even now it’s unfortunate they no longer make them 😢
I just bought one ! Waiting for it to get shipped so I can take it home 😩😩
This will be my dream car!! Nice job Mike.
I own a 2016 Scion TC (magnetic gray) and it’s the best choice I could’ve made.
I just bought a 2012 with 74k miles in the same color three days ago. So far I'm loving it.

I was waiting for you to make a Scion tC review! Thanks so much!
I wish I am living in USA that I can tint my TC windows like your cars that DARK =D
Thanks for the video!!
You never trade your RSX but you buy the Scion and you keep them both bother 😎🍸
As I was searching for this year model tcs, I've noticed how insanely bright the red was, makes the car look like a toy and not alot of depth.
Great review! Great car!!! I miss my tC!!!!!!
Yes,, this car looks awesome,, I think is a good trade , for this one,,
Just bought a 2015 today! Oh and that piece you pointed out is for towing!
napalm84 how do you like it? I'm actually planning to get one but just want to get someone's opinion first lol

Difference between this one & 2014 model?
Nice Mike
the black tool in the tire is so you can pop off a little cap, screw that thing in and tow it
Great review man, thanks!
That was a tow hook in the spare tire well
yes you should trade ur car for it

4 more weeks and ill have mine

Did you get it?
What type of Acura do/did you have Mike? Year and model? So we can advise on your possible trade. I highly recommend the tC!
