  • Vintage Guitar Oldenburg and Tobias Hoffmann present a Gibson ES-175 D from 1956 with P-90 Pickups, more infos at: www.vintage-gui... The guitar shown was played through a Fender Vibroverb Reisuue and recorded with a Shure SM57 (right) and a Sennheiser 409 (left) . The backing tracks were recorded into a Line6 DL4 looper on the same instrument right before the recording of each video. We used the Vemuram Jan Ray Pedal and a Vemuram Shanks 4k for overdrive sounds. Tobias Hoffmann is a award winning guitar player from cologne, germany. He combines the sounds of Jazz, Blues, Rock, Surf and some experimental stuff. Check him out:

I have a 1962 es175d that I would not trade for any other guitar. Clean and pure sound and the most playable neck and action.

If there were an award ceremony for 'Best Guitar Demonstrator', this bloke would be wise to get his suit dry-cleaned.

a reduced 8 bar giant steps sort of thing in slow elevatorbossa is still hard! I feel with a dude who throws an F on a F#7 (2:47) an A on a Bb7 (3:27) and especially that wild Eb on the D7 (4:27). Coulda been me! Nice playing. Nice guitar.

very fastidious, but they sound just like passing notes in the flow and ebb of his phrasing and don't sound odd to me.

Right? At first glance of the thumbnail, I thought it was Eric. That's why I watched. Beautiful.
