⚠️ 1 ) Alex deleted all calls from his phone
2 ) Alex admitted he went for Paul's phone while his son's literal brains were blown out
3 ) Alex absolutely had NO blood on him when seen by police that very night
4 ) Alex was the only person placed at the scene exactly before and after the murders
5 ) testimony confirmed Alex voice on that recording on Paul's phone in the kennels even though Alex said he hadn't been to the kennels at all
6 ) Alex told his mother's care taker he was there for 30-40 mins but was there only 15 minutes
7 ) Alex just so happen to "leave" right before the murders then just so happen to "come back" right after the murders
8 ) Alex sold that house he wanted Maggie to sell but she refused .. so when she died he sold it by "right of joint survivorship"
9 ) Paul being wiped out also wipes out that boating accident in which Alex was being sued for millions because it was his boat that resulted in someone's death
10 ) by Maggie's sister testimony she said Alex was more concerned with Paul's court casr than the actual brutal murders of his wife and son

Yes one of the murder weapons was his, and he cannot produce the clothes he was photographed in earlier that day. So your list is 13 points long
14. Alex clothes smelled fresh according to person doing tests on them. 15. His clothes have crease fold marks down the front on both sides. 16. He lied about the shirt he was wearing to go to work - the one the housekeeper turned down the collar on.

There was barely any evidence in OJ's case that showed guilt hence why he walked. Much easier to get away with murder 20-30yrs ago. Too much technology now that'll jam you up. Plus Alex wasn't exactly careful about the way he moved

I believe 100% that Alex called his drug dealing cousin to help him with his flat tire because Alex planned on deleting him. Then saying his dealer cousin was the k iller of his wife and son that tried to get him too but didn't. The Netflix documentary actually did a great job of connecting the dots of this horrible family. They all have someone's blood on their hands.

Inviting friends and family after a brutal murder on the property for 2 reasons. 1. He knew there wasn't a wild murdering maniac that would come back to get them all.
2. To muddy up any possible evidence inside the house, with people trapsing all over.

Yes, that look on Alex's face when the witness said only Paul knew of that kennel video! He rapidly blinks and has this look like, " Paul did it again, he has ruined my life twice". Wow the irony that Paul harms him again by having the evidence to prove he was there and lied.

Maggie's sister also testified that whenever they tried to get him to talk about the murders, he would say he was more worried about clearing Paul's name, from the boat accident. She found that 'suspicious'.
I think he was worried just in case the families wanted money from him, being as Paul could no longer be sued.
That is suspicious! Also suspicious when he said the person that killed them thought about it for a long time! That comment gave me the chills!

(and Parker’s for selling liquor to an underaged Paul using a duplicate ID of Buster’s) It was Alex’s boat / insurance and he’s the only one who had anything of value to sue for. Paul was indicted criminally by a grand jury and facing trial. After his death obviously the criminal trial could not take place. Alex knew Paul would go to prison for the boat incident and because of the boat incident all of his theft was coming out. He was facing financial ruin and likely Maggie would have divorced him. Alex has to pay millions to Mallory’s family. The $$$ will come from sale of Mosell house/property. I think a Judge has already signed off on that.
She never testified that HE said that HE was more worried about clearing the name. If you listen to the testimony she clearly said that it APPEARED as if he was more concerned about clearing the name. Huge difference there.
He stuck with his false alibi for months, right up until the snapchat was unearthed
That video on Paul's phone with Alex's voice on it is the most damning evidence that he is guilty. No ways can he lie his way out of that.
The amount of things that authorities can pull from nowadays is mind blowing. The car data, phone locations etc. it must be near impossible to get away with something nowadays.
True. Still didn't help that they lied to the Grand Jury and then lied some more about High velocity spatter being on him, which there wasn't. That alone should be grounds for appeal, not that I think the justice system will have enough balls to overturn on such grounds.
Paul has been able to point the finger at his murderer by the two videos he took ! Good for you Paul 😇

I bet Maggie’s sister feels terrible, she’s the one who encouraged her to go with Alex to visit his parent because it was the “right” thing to do. Maggie did not want to go with Alex.

As for the financial crimes showing possible motive, nothing made as big of an impact, in my opinion, than the deceased housekeeper's son's testimony. It definitely showed that Alex didn't just screw over big monied people, but these two poor boys who just lost their mother to a "supposed" accident. They trusted him. He is despicable.
What he did to the housekeeper and her family enrages me. Alex Murdaugh is the absolute scum of the earth.
And heard in a video with them likely within 4 minutes of their deaths! While saying he wasn't there!
However, that is a different animal. This is a murder trial and there is no evidence that he murdered them. Remember Jon Benet ~!

Unless you know addiction close up and personal, you have no idea what someone will do to hide their use or the crimes they've committed to continue their use? Folks will do things that they would never do in a million years while deep in their addiction. Everyone's hitting rock bottom is different and I believe this is AMs rock bottom, but the " nowhere but up " does not apply here, its too late now!
There was a one hour period of time in which someone would have to enter that isolated property, commit the murders, take the weapons and be gone. The probability that the murders occurred during that rare window of time is absurd. No one really knew AM - he is a monster and very capable of something so horrible.
Not to mention the assumption that they'd used the family's weapons to do it. It would have to suggested that not only did someone come in and murder two people, but it was all done in an elaborated and premeditated fashion, to set Alex up for the murders. 🤷🏾♀️ idk seems pretty farfetched to me

One important thing Maggie's sister said was that Alex didn't seem scared after the murders, that he was more concerned about the boat case, that seemed like Alex's first priority, and he never brought up who could have done this and the sister thought that was weird because her first priority was to find out whoever murdered her sister..
Julia, yes I agree but remember I think Alex was simply trying to create distractions and detour people away from him so others would think it was a retaliation because of Paul's family not taking accountability .

I think the timeline is so tight accompanied by the fact that he lied about luring his wife there, lied about being there, missing clothing ( including shoes), and was already referring to his wife and son in the past tense immediately after the murder. Good thing Paul recorded that snapchat video.

He also is calling one of the dogs in his 911 call. Like he let them out so he could clean up the area and was trying to get them put back up before anyone showed up.
For this man to be so educated & so financially well off (partly because he stole other people’s money, no less!) he is just not that bright at committing crimes.
I believe that his brain was (allegedly) scrambled,due to the adrenaline rush, that most likely occurred during the murders!
It always sounds better in someone’s head when their planning, but it’s a whole different story when you are actually doing it! He didn’t account for the real life experience of actually taking 2 lives of your close family members & the emotions that take over as a result. Not that I felt he was remorseful, but the thoughts of the events that took place must have been racing through his mind at 100mph. This made him sloppy & confused. He just thought that he was so convincing that no one would suspect him. Everyone knows that they suspect the spouse first & investigate who had the most to gain by their deaths? The Beach family would not have wanted Paul dead before the case was heard, because they wanted him to pay restitution. Why would they want his mother dead too? It makes no sense! They may have wanted him dead later if they lost the civil case, &/or he was acquitted of Mallory’s death. But none of that had happened yet. That was all Alex was concerned about. Not worried about catching the killer(s), because he already knew who did it.
His brain could not deny what it already knew to be true. So he spoke in past tense. He didn’t feel the shock & dismay that others felt, because he had already processed their deaths, well in advance.

His friend Rogan didn’t even know until Nov that video existed. That video alone made me think differently. However, it’s such a normal video it’s difficult to comprehend that Alex just decides to take their lives minutes later. It’s a tragedy all around.

Its interesting because in that police car interview Murdaugh is talking about first discovering the bodies and turning Paul over and says Paul's cell phone popped out and he tried to do something to it, then says he puts it down quickly. This is just bizarre info for him to add at this moment, he's just discovered his son and wife, son's head blown off, brain matter all over and he's giving details about his interactions with his son's cell phone....or more likely he's already thinking about how to explain his fingerprints all over it when the video that he knows exists on it becomes known.

People saying hired somebody need to put down the films and step back into reality. This happens with all “cyber sleuths” they choose this fantastical improbably timeline of events and completely ignore the mundane but probable explanation and that is that like in most murders of a child and/spouse it’s the parent of spouse that did it 9 times out of 10. It’s why they’re the first people LE have to clear before moving on.
Or come up with some reason to now show up at all so that Maggie and Paul would be at the house alone when the hitman committed the murders.

The other reason the financial info should come in is because there are phycological studies about well to do middle-aged men who kill their families because they don't want them around when their crimes are revealed. The majority of these cases have a root cause in financial failure. In other words, ego made him do it.

Judge now is letting the road side event into testimony due to the defense asking witnesses questions regarding the event.
The defense opened that door on purpose, they want Eddie to testify. He’s a known liar and criminal….cast doubt / make the jury think it was him instead.

I've been following this pretty closely, and have noticed A LOT of people aren't able to put the dots together and still don't see the big deal. Thank you for putting together these comprehensive updates, it's sorely needed.
Hopefully when the prosecutors close, they explain it as simply and lined out as this video. Also wonder where are all the charts to make it visually easy for the jury to see. Maybe the jury is better at paying attention to all this than the armchair viewers.
To be fair, the prosecution is doing a terrible job. I just started following after the trial started and they are not telling a cohensive story. I think he's involved, but I don't feel confident he pulled the trigger and I'm worried the jury doesn't either.
What is keeping me on the fence is the time needed to clean up and get rid of bloody clothes & rifles. We can assume this was preplanned so a safe place to hid stuff has to be on the property.
I am sure he could have had two rifles in a golf cart by the way there is a golf cart seen in the hanger the night of murders. I am sure he could wash off at the kennels, had clothes in his SUV, BUT would there be enough time to wash all that blood off and not over soak the area with water. I would like to see a re enactment.

@@UnseenOct I agree, I’ve been watching every day and the prosecution seems sloppy with their story. The jury can’t even take notes, so them deciding guilty “behind a reasonable doubt” is shaky.
You're forgetting that the FIRST alibi was that he went to the hospital to see his dad. The ever changing nature of his alibi is the biggest piece of damning evidence, imo. This should be pointed out to the jury, but it hasn't been, and the state rests it case-in-chief tomorrow, I think? What gives?! First he went to visit dad at hospital, then he CALLED dad at hospital, then he went to SEE mom at Almeda. He said he was there 30 to 45 minutes, caregivers say 20 minutes. He repeatedly denied having been at the kennels with Maggie and Paul at the time the kennel video was made by Paul.

You’re exactly right! That was the whole point of asking Maggie to come there- to go see Alex’s father in the hospital. Then Alex later changed that to going to his mother’s- which he did that night-but why didn’t Maggie go with him or follow him, or, why wouldn’t she have just gone alone (or with Paul) to see Alex’s father in the hospital, considering it’s why she went to Moselle in the first place. Why would she need Alex present to go see her dying father-in-law? The defense/Alex wants us to totally forget the original alibis and believe that Maggie drove all that way, even though she said she didn’t want to go, only to go to the kennels and let Alex drive away by himself to go see his MOTHER? Alex is proof that higher education/academic capabilities does not equate to higher intelligence. He’s actually kind of a buffoon in the areas of common sense and emotional and practical intelligence.

@@RightProud you also point out that higher education for many prominent families is more about privilege than intelligence. Many were separatists who promoted themselves above others because they believed their skin color was superior. It wasn't uncommon for the affluent and privileged to rise in prestigious careers and political power inspite of their actual lack of intelligence
It's really when I began hearing about what was happening in the family between Alex and Paul and Maggie that Alex's murduous designs became obvious. Maggie was working WITH Paul to start tracking Alex's drug use and calling him out on it. I think this...most of all...brewed a lethal anger in Alex towards his son and wife. I WANT TO KNOW WHAT THEY TALKED ABOUT OVER DINNER SO BADLY! I bet you anything the answer to his true motives are in that dinner conversation. Maggie and Paul must have said something that triggered Alex...I think he made up his mind to actually kill them over dinner. This happening after dinner wasn't a coincidence I don't think

Maggie being dead means Alex can finally sell the house (which he tried to do immediately). Paul being dead wipes away all of Alex's culpability in owning the boat that his son used to kill someone. Paul's deaths makes the whole boat thing go away too.

I agree. At dinner, I think Paul and Maggie confronted Alex about the amount of drugs they found and that he was taking. Because, on May 6, one month before the murders, Paul sent a text to Alex saying that Maggie had found “bags” of pills in Alex’s computer bag, and in that text, he told Alex that he wanted to talk about this the next time he saw him. Then on May 6 and on May 13, Maggie did some internet searches trying to identify what kind of pills she had found…which I think she discovered some or all were oxycodone. Perhaps they were demanding some answers from him about the heavy drug use.
Alex was already feeling things closing in on him. Just that day, on June 7, around noon, the chief financial officer at his law firm had met with him in his office about money that was missing that involved him. He knew this was the beginning of all his illegal activities coming undone. In addition, all of the lawsuits stemming from the boat crash weighed heavily on him. He was angry with Paul, who caused the boat crash and the million dollar lawsuits, and he was angry that Maggie owned the two properties and refused to let him use them as collateral to get some needed loans. Maggie was also probably learning more about their financial problems.
He probably wanted both of them to go away and he lured them there that night to do just that. And because he was used to getting away with things, he probably thought he could get away with murdering them…like some grandiose narcissists think.

Other than the video at the kennel, the evidence that was an epiphany to me was, Marion’s testimony. She was asked about conversations with Alex after the funeral. Alex told her his #1 priority was clearing Paul’s name on the boat accident. She said that the families top priority was finding the killer, nothing else, because they were all afraid that someone was targeting the family! She said, “I was afraid. We all were afraid...Alex was not afraid “.
The state never brings this up. If some unknown person really killed my wife and child, I would be screaming at authorities to keep searching. And during the year after the murders before Alex was arrested, did he do anything to try and find the shooter? Private detectives?

I think that he thought that they would never have enough evidence to charge him and the case would go cold.

the second half of your comment is the most important take away for me. during the trial, Defense hasn't even hinted at any possible suspect (these last few days cousin Eddie and the Sand Hill gang were mention lol whatever that is) The numerous body cams are weird in so many levels but he wasn't scared their was a killer on the property? All this time and he couldn't name anyone that could it be? I'd be screaming stop wasting time on me and go find who did this! Call for updates constantly. I'd want the killer caught immediately. Especially as someone who had the resources and connections in not only his town, but other local police stations too.
Of course I think he is guilty, I've followed this case for a long time. During the trial, I have tried to stay very neutral while watching this trial. I still think it may be a hung jury. 😣

He knew he would never pay it. This whole case is bizarre i really hope he's found guilty. He'll be going away for a long time for his financial crimes.
I think they didn't pursue that detail because it could be seen as very bias and not something they could confirm. Too much hearsay. Not that I don't thnk that it shows his guilt.
Now knowing the extent of their wounds it made no sense why Alex continued to ask if they were dead, he was just giving his best empathy act and it was horrible ! I mean.....any person with vision would know both were dead....Paul's brain was literally out of his skull and on the ground !! And Alex said he turned Paul to see if he was dead....and checked for pulse....BS...his f'ing head was blown apart, there was no need to do any of that ! There is way too much evidence that puts Alex at the scene before, during and after the murders.
I guess he was looking for the phone if Paul had his phone on to record the killing. And when he saw it wasn't on he put it back and pretended he tried to turn Paul over. My child with no head in the dirt I would know he's dead. What a bad liar.
Especially as a hunter...you wouldn't see a deer with his head blown off and ask..is it dead?? Official it's dead?
and as i keep posting .. if they were alive why wasn't he beside them trying to get them to live? He knew they were dead! Acting out Alec. He is a horrible evil person!

Wow I have been watching this trial daily. I am glad that you did a quick recap as its hard to watch it all at once as some of the videos are almost 2 hours long. This is a sad state of affairs. I really hope that not only his family gets justice, yet also the community that he has ripped inadvertently ripped apart by all of his misdeeds. May they get closure and be able to heal after this.

@@VioletJoy they didn’t secure the property, the house . Didn’t investigate the house at all. Let Alex just go in the house and collected the clothes he supposedly had on later .And on top let the the cleaning lady on the day after just cleaning the bathroom and the house 🙃

I think this jury will be so confused with all the things going on with all the different crimes/events. The kennel video is strong evidence for me. Also, the caregiver and Blanca both stating how Alex suggested they remember things. Still watching and waiting for more evidence and testimony.
He can't produce the clothes he was photographed in earlier that day. His raincoat contained firearms. And one of the murder weapons was proven ballistically to be his.
All of it was circumstantial evidence, but that's still evidence.

It is a circumstantial case but its piling up now. he is DONE. Guilty as sin. Unless you believe in the Low Country bogeyman theory.

A very sick man, acting like a very sick man isn’t that much surprising. To save his desperate ego, he was willing to kill anything/anyone that expose him. However, many people who are sick, don’t wind up hurting so many others along the way. He got so caught up in his own bs, he started to believe it.

I just realized why Maggie's pajamas where on the floor of the laundry room....the outfit Alec was wearing when the police arrived was the exact outfit he was wearing on his bday one week before at Edesto on his bday...Could Maggie have that outfit and her pajamas on a travel bag she brought from Edesto with her, could he put on his clothes, dropped Maggie's pajamas and used the bag to discard evidence?

The second interview in the car, Alex was telling what he did that day and he said, " I went back to the kennels." Back? He has claimed he never went there!
Does anyone else find it odd that:
1. Alec just found out that his father's health turned a bad corner, and his mom isn't well, so he takes a nap and visits her late in the evening, rather than visiting her first and then taking a nap.
2. His mom's caregiver said he was holding a blue, cloth thing that looks like a car cover... possibly a disposable coverall?
He called Maggie to go with him but then doesn't take her with him. He then doesn't go to look for her before leaving the house to go see his dad or mom. Why then did you want her to come home. She didn't want to go because she knew he was up to something.
One of the things that kills me about this guy is it is always asking people to lie for him and just assuming they will and that they won't tell anybody. I heard something interesting on another video and that was that he never lost service even though the service out by The stables or the kennel rather was really sketchy and he was allegedly running back and forth to his son and his wife with his voice never changed or did he get out of breath and then the dogs barking in the background never got louder or more quiet and it should have because Paul was right next to them and his wife was away from them

Another RUclipsr (can't remember who) analysed the 911 call and came up with a surprising theory, that the first part of the 911 call was made from inside the golf cart, because there is a definite point where one starts to hear outside noises.
I listened to it and I concur with his assessment.
I am sure the prosecution picked it up too, but for whatever reason they let it go.
But... imagine Alex calling 911, pretending to see Maggie and Paul deceased, but instead sitting in his golf car, because he knows very well what is out there.

At end of trial today, 2.15.23, judge allowed roadside shooting to come into play because defense opened the door to it.
This report made more sense to me than anything else I have seen so far.
I can remember the last time I saw my loved ones before they passed away. For Alex to not admit his presence with Paul and Maggie in the barn, in fact to cover it up with alibis and not telling the investigators is damning evidence… for his case… and his soul.
That first day when the police were at his property, his fake cries and asking the police if his wife and son are dead. I knew he was guilty. I hope he gets life in prison.

Notice how he kept cutting his eyes over at the investigator to see if his fake cries were acknowledged and then how he brightened as he spoke about how their farmhand had once been a sniper and perhaps he did it. Sounded like a cooked up story prepared beforehand

The fact that he denied being there but was actually there would be enough for me if I were a juror.
Thing that stood out to me the most is you could tell in the 3rd interview that he was genuinely crying and upset, which makes you realize all those other times were absolutely fake and put on. I believe by August when the 3rd one rolled around, he was probably regretting what he had done. I do believe he loved Paul and Maggie, but I also believe he loved himself more.
I was left with that impression as well! He seemed very upset in that interview. But I do know that pill heads can get very emotional as well. Or on the other far spectrum, they can be stoic ie stone faced ie stoned. I want to believe he hurts because they were murdered. I want to believe he didn’t do it. But there are so many things that make me believe he did.
They can be very stoic, then act very emotional, especially if in fear of discovery!

My step dad was a congenital liar, he stole from both my brother (his son) and me. Did he love us? Who knows, he did some pretty cold things to us. Our mother died and I was 19 and homeless and penniless in a foreign country and he told me to stop whining. Witnesses would have said he was a lovely father just like Alec.
He was crying for himself because he was just officially informed he was the prime suspect. Boo hoo.
This caregiver also testified that he came into the house and immediately went upstairs even though his mother's bedroom is downstairs and she goes to bed at 8:00 and was already sleeping.
