Thanks for the recommendation. These look great on my 2020 Taco
For those having trouble with the front windows closing I had apply a little more pressure so it doesn't get in the way of the window closing. For my passenger front I had to apply pressure while closing it slowly to make sure it closed properly all the way.
Ahh ya because when I shut my windows the windows always hits it
Got these for my adventure puppy. The outside-channel doesn’t let me lower the window enough. Hoping these give a bit more air flow! Thanks for the video!! 🙏❤️☯️
Just ordered mine!! Thanks guys
Thanks for the video. I’m gonna have some Tacoma how to guides for electronics soon.
Patiently waiting for soon to come
nice video thank you
✌️Love the easy mods
cleaaaaan af, i just got same exact rain guards for christmas! stoked on installing them soon, thanks for the help bro !
You will love them! They look awesome!
I like the weather tech better. Clean look in my opinion
Nice channel. What do you guys do for work?
How do these do in a automatic car wash?
Any part number for the low profile ones I dont want to order the wrong ones
Mine just came in the mail
Just recently sub. You guys are great gave me all ideas and great diy. Thank you.
Jackson Jurado you are very welcome! We have more on the way!
The link doesn't look like the low profile one, the low profile has a different part # on the Amazon app.
Hey I just found your page and I love your videos! I just got a 19 trd off road and your videos are very helpful. Im Vietnamese, was wondering what are yall ethnicity?
Do you guys have any ideas for the windows bouncing back? Just my drivers side is doing it and I've checked it a million times can figure it out
Was this a different style AVS? I just noticed mine for a 22 Pro does not have that small step near the bottom lip. Mine are just smooth.
I found its better not to peel off all red backing, just peel a little, insert visor then peel back to stick it little by little, easier to move into place that way.
for the in channel, do you experience any scratch on the top edge of the window after a while?
Tempered glass which is used in car side windows is even tougher than windshield glass (laminated.)
Can you post the correct amazon link for the low profile you got? Also was yours smoke or dark smoke? I current have the matte black n it dont look good becuz my windows are limo tent 😂😭
Nai Saephan haha sorry, I will check the link when I get home.
Where you buy visor... thank you
You're amazing!
Great vids! I’m curious I just installed mine. But it affects the auto windows. Did yours do that?
Steven Vaquera really? I haven't had any issues
Mine did the same!
You probably didn't leave the windows closed long enough after installing. Whenever I install these in-channel rain guards, I always leave the windows closed for at least 24 hours to allow the rubber seal to compress behind the rain guards. Then your windows will close without triggering the safety stop.
I left my windows closed for 72 hrs like the directions say. And my window still hits the shade.. I'm not too happy with them.
My AVS came all jacked up is there a way to order them so there not all scrstvhed up by the time you get them .
I don't think so, it's just luck I guess.
Hi I have a 2019 Toyota Tacoma TRD sport 4x4 Double cab
And my understanding that the front windows do not close good enough is that true? And where am I able to purchase thank you
Ours closed just fine, no issues still. I believe we have the link in the description
These seem to fit better on 2016+ 4runner. My in-channel visors when you roll up the window it catches the bottom edge of visor and safety-mechanism releases window.
Some people have had to trim the bottom edge at the corner to prevent this from happening. I just installed my visors and it looks like I'll have to do the same. After that though they should be good!
@@MachineSwede Thanks, mine have pulled away from the window after a few days of keeping them rolled up, they no longer catch. They kinda set better into the plastic trim and get pushed out or the 3M pulls it out better.
@@DarkBykeTwitch Nice, glad to hear! I'll give it a week or so before I make a trim adjustment.
Same problem with my 2021
Nice truck! Subscribed and thumbs up! Is the driver and passenger side windows tinted?
how long do you let them sit with the windows closed?
I was wondering this myself and just read it in my AVS manual. Says 72 hours with windows closed at 50F degrees. I just installed mine with a propane heater in my garage because it’s winter. Then lightly ran a heat gun around the exterior plastic with the windows closed to help it cure faster. I plan on leaving then shut for at least 48hours.
Probably won't get a response to this but will it fit my 2021 tacoma?
It's the same truck
Hello. Are they low pro file ones??
Julius Topacio yessir
The passenger side visor was an inch longer than it should have been. The rest went on fine.
Do you still like your AVS rain guards are they good enough quality or should I go with weathertech?
Gerry Jimenez I have that on 2020 tacoma look nice
Be careful with weather tech mine messed up the tint on my driver side window so now I have to get both on my front windows tinted
I am curious how it holds up in a Carwash!
Dugco71 really well! I use my pressure washer on it all the time, it's in channel so that helps it hold strong
Unless you get a car wash with your windows down. 🤔
Are this ones low profile matte black?
Gloss black
One thing I noticed is that when doing the window area prep work you emphasized scrubbing and cleaning the wrong surface. Instead of focusing on the area that the 3m tape attaches to, you pressed towards the inside?????
GUNSnARMYRN yeah the scrub is abrasive aon both sides so running it through the channel will clean both sides at once. Then the same with the alcohol wipe, the channel is snug so running a finger through it will clean both the side you stick the 3M too and the other side
Will it affect my tint on my windows
no
Are these the low profile ones featured in this video?
In this video, it is NOT.
@@Runnin4Tacos 3 comments down it is the low profile ones. lol
What if the back windows doesn't roll down? 🤔 my truck just has the half doors.
It also comes with the 2 piece set for the fronts.
@@Runnin4Tacos yes I seen those I don't like that look.
My front windows won't roll up. I had to return these twice!
Had same same problem. I had to pull the visor towards me while rolling up the windows. If not my window will not roll all the way up
@@kurtblends9798 Had the same problem with our Highlander/ Lexus RX so I pulled rubber channel so it "adheres" to metal channel the replaced the rubber seal atop of window vents...
Does it make extra wind noise homies?
They kind of flap with high winds
I met a dude about 5 years ago and he didn't know what a screwdriver but was called. Today I learned that a grown man didn't know what Scotch Brite was called. Common knowledge isn't very common anymore, that's why I request doctors that are from another country!
All that for what reason?
You’re right omg this guy isn’t worth anything because he doesn’t know Scotch brite 😱😱😱😱😱
@@GabrielGarcia-ul9mg Same dude didn't know how put a bit in a drill chuck also didn't know what pneumatic was. But please continue to defend stupid, probably because you don't understand half the things either
Don't get high and attach rain guards.. LOL
Lmao bruh I just knoticed that man looked ripped. They did a good job doe right?
My experience I do remove the rubber channel so the adhesives "adheres" to the inner channel of the body, not rubber seal.. these will will FLY OFF !!
Paint to match them guards, only way to go
Why the hell did you guys post a link to cheap ass ones on Amazon??? Now I have to tell my lady to return those. 🙄🙄🙄
Are you guys partners in real life ?
Weathertech are a 100 % better no tape on paint
These also have no tape on the paint. Did you even watch the video?
When ordering these for my 2019 they didn’t sit right with the front windows wouldn’t recommend just get weather tech
Double sided tape installation 10min video....
They need that ad revenue bro 😎
ruclips.net/video/PkCdxif-19A/видео.html 👈🏼 proper install
Bought mine but I ordered the Matte black ones by accident 🤮
Did you use the matte black visor?
What is the point of these?
Bill Beverly to get fresh air when it's raining or snowing
And Cut down on wind noise when u roll the window down a few inches
They are also good for giving you a huge blind spot at your A-pillar.
For looks.
Foe da lookz
Ewwwww did he just called these a mod?
It is a mod because it isnt built into the stock. Mods can come from a form of addition of accesories to change something, in this case the look of the vehicle and functionality of window opening, you dud.
