Great tip, I’m having the same problem on my front passenger side, I’ll be trying this for sure. I would probably use a small nail file.
Bought the same in channel guards for my 22 Pro. Good tip that I’ll probably try before I install them. Some people have noted “burned out” window motors after a few years of use with these in-channel guards as I assume it might make your motor work harder with the tighter fit over the years to get them closed/sealed in the closed up position. So that’s why some guys recommend the outside mount vs in channel, but I think they don’t look as good. I guess only time will tell. Great videos on your rig.
Thanks Sean, yeah I have heard rumors about the motor’s having a shortened life from the guards as well. My hope is that with the window/windows now being able to move up and down freely from the adjustment that this will counteract that issue. Good luck with your install!
Don't buy the inline visor.
@@eddieBoxer you had or have a bad experience with them?
Hey how are you? I know we talked about these already and I love them. Thank you for the tip on removing the AVS logo it worked great! Also I can not believe I didn’t notice you had the window deflectors all this time🤦🏽♀️ your truck is just so shinny and beautiful it was hard to see them on the windows lol! Thank you again for the video I always look forward to them and all your tips that really help in every way!
Hey Pam! Doing great!! How are you?? Glad it helped! LoL!! I always appreciate your feedback and support 👍🏼🤙🏼!
@@westcoasttacoGood morning! Question… with the rain guards on are you getting wind news? Or more than normal wind news?
@@pamlucchino4878 good morning! I haven’t noticed a difference to be quite honest… I installed them almost immediately after buying the truck. And I don’t recall them making less or more noise after getting them installed… it would make sense for them to make a little bit of noise because of the way they protrude out from the truck and have the ability to capture some wind between the window and the visor.
Thank you! I kind felt the same way just wanted to hear what you thought and your experience. Have a great rest of your day and thank you for your time, you are always very helpful!
Nice looking Taco.
Thank you!
good info but my bump went away after a week or so. guess it just needed to seat. great looking 🌮!!!
Nice! Thank you!
Yes this is my third day of leaving my window up finally let all of them down to test the fitment and my damn passenger window is catching on that plastic, very annoying! 😖😖 Gonna have to do this, good vid thanks man 👍🏽
Good luck man! Hope it works for you!

@@westcoasttaco whats the ball park on that?

@westcoasttaco hi how are you? I am considering the Bug deflector, do you still recommend it? I have been going back in forth between the high profile and the medium profile? What do you think?
I’m good Pam! How are you? I like them.. I feel like it adds an aggressive “brow” to the front and protects the hood from both rocks and bugs where chipping can easily occur. When it comes to profile it just depends on what look you want for your truck.. not sure which brand it was but there was a profile that had double sided 3M tape that attached it to the hood. Not sure how that would affect the paint long term??? Mine uses the factory holes in the hood to attach the Bugdeflector. So I can remove it whenever I need to for waxing and paint careetc. hope that helps!
@@westcoasttaco thank you! I don’t want any tape on the hood, I’m with you having the screw on. I love the one you got! I just got on the AVS website and they show the same bolt on but in a medium profile not as hi as the Bug deflector ll so I am weighing it out lol. Thank you for your time, your opinions and suggestions are very helpful and valued. Have a great weekend!
@@pamlucchino4878 anytime Pam! Have a wonderful weekend as well!🤙🏼
Don't like the in cannel rain guards they can mess up your window channels. That s why I went with tape on's.
I can totally see why.. especially with the motors potentially having their lifespan reduced. I’m going to keep an eye on mine.. since I shaved off the corners of the guards the windows have been going up and down without any resistance.. at least from what I can see.. I do like the way the “in channel” guards look compared to the exterior attaching guards. The in channel guards have a more “finished/seamless” look that a lot of people are drawn to and seem more satisfied with.. but to each their own. At the end of the day you got to do what you prefer.
*What school grade are you in? This is a 3rd grade show and tell about what you did over* *the weekend.*
*How about making a video doing it? We call it a How to! But that would be hard for a lazy GenZ'r*
Thanks for checking out the channel! So there is a reason I didn’t put “How to” in the title. I did this basic install and adjustment to the rain guard before I started making videos of my truck… but I did my best to leave viewers with a pretty decent idea of what I did to fix the issue I was having.. all of my videos are pretty raw with little to no editing and I don’t have any filming or editing equipment, just my phone.. with that being said I don’t feel like I could provide a very good “how to” product for the viewer.. Also, I have a wife and 3 little ones (ages 5,4, and 2) between raising a family and my career I don’t have a ton of time to spare.. sneaking away for 30 minutes to help show other fellow comrades on how I’m achieving success with certain products that seem to have reoccurring issues is the best that I can do for now.. Like I mentioned my main priority is my family and my responsibility to provide for them.. providing “how to” videos isn’t on the top of my priority list at the moment. We can’t all be rock stars like you I suppose. Best of luck to ya!
