    I got the XLE in Oxygen White exactly a month ago, and totally loving the ride,the comfort, the quiet cabin interior and the mileage clocked. Just a great family hybrid sedan for long trips with the generous fuel economy I am getting (about 5.7 litres per 100 Kms). Passengers in the rear keep praising the comfortable seats and spacious leg room. t. From my POV, the elevated front view is just perfect. Solid feelon the road, and I just loved the rotation radius. In my opinion, not worth dishing out extra $$$ for the Limited Trim for the extra perks.

    I just bought this car, the XLE in supersonic red, and I absolutely love it! Going from a RAV4 to basically a lifted car! The gas mileage is really impressive! It does average 41ish for my commute to work, which is about 33 miles and mostly highway, I’d say 75/25. My rav got 26. The ride is really nice and smooth, and I think it’s quiet. But that’s my opinion. All in all, this is the best impulse buy I’ve ever made! Test drive one for yourself, this car sells itself! ✌🏻

Plus I do not want moon/sunroof. The thing that appeals to me with the Crown over Lexus/Camry/Accord etc is that at 70 years old I want a car I car slide into vs drop down into if you know what I mean. Well done.

      I currently drive a Honda Accord Hybrid Touring and this thing has everything that my Accord is missing in the sense of added ground clearance and AWD. Only has a minor hit in mpg as mine is rated at 43 but I regularly get between 36/38 with my driving style.
      I've lived in Minnesota since age 9 (36 now) and every vehicle I've own except for my 99 Suburban when I was 20/21 has been a 2 door coupe or sedan. Snow tires with every FWD or RWD without any major issues.

    • @therulerrokr
      @therulerrokr Год назад +1

      I was in the market for a car and these two ended up being my top 2 choices. The accord felt quieter to me. I think the way honda has configured their hybrid system is the reason why. when you are accelerating at low speeds, the electric motor kicks in first. so its like an ev up to ~25mph and then the gas engine kicks in quite smoothly. this gives great torque at the low rpms with barely any sound. but the car doesn't have too much power at cruising speeds. The accord handled really well but on rare occasions it did feel like a boat. I ended up buying the crown XLE trim because I got a 3k discount off msrp and all the honda dealerships around me were marking up the accord by atleast 1.5K. The ride quality feels similar in both. the crown (even with the cloth seats) felt like the nicer interior. The seats felt more cushy in the crown. the sound system in the accord was very disappointing. and the new accord looks like a super generic sedan. so for about the same price, we went with the clown.

    When it comes to lifestyle, it is challenging to broach who this car is directed to. I only owned two Toyotas in 30 years and they are both trucks. Maybe one can discern I love Toyotas more than any others for that story. But why buy a platinum Crown? I already own a MODIFIED 2006 4 banger Tacoma xCab and it is lifted. But I never used it for Offroad. I just wanted it for looks and super less tech, pwr windows and cruise. Perhaps buying the Crown for me is to Crown my wife and Crown me as a king as we are getting older and the Tacoma does not fit 4 comfortably. Even my wife does not drive manual which my Tacoma has. Also, I am getting tired of driving all the time and I certainly would love my Queen to drive. I have to say, the platinum has 6 drive modes which gives the driver a wide selection of drive taste and the adaptive suspension follows it pretty good. All the tech stuff can lead you stranded until you find something you like. The infancy of this vehicle steps into developing personal profiles where one fob key sets the Crown up for the KING yo drive and one sets up for the Queen to drive. And it does an ok job at doing it at its infancy. I chose the Ctown over the Lexus and Genesis brand because of value in the word Luxury. If I had the money, I would buy the Genesis GV90 as that sedan is utterly luxurious. But like I said in the beginning. When it comes to lifestyle, it is challenging to broach who this car is directed to. I bought a platinum Crown for the reasons above, the 21 in. wheels, the outside and inside chiselness and not the mpg. It was targetted for luxury with a touch of sport when needed ... direct to me and my wife who are nearing retirement, leaving repairwork and past truck responsibilities to someone else. I am hoping this Crown will be the last car I ever buy and maybe I will hire a driver as this car gives me the feel of a GV90 as me sitting far away from a driver in the back seat. 😊 Oh and I am 6 ft 1 and my wife is 5 ft 2. See how these profiles differ?

    Prototype vehicle? Aren't these already on dealers' lots? Interesting. Oh, and if they are interested in your feedback, could you please suggest that they allow the user to set the top speed on the speedometer to be less than ONE HUNDRED SIXTY MILES PER HOUR? Come on already! How about 120 mph? If it can even go that fast? All the brands are doing this but I have no idea why.

    I just saw this at the Minnesota, Twin Cities car show and I would actually pick this over an SUV.
    This may end up as my next sedan or whatever it's actually considered.

    You kept on doing the same mistake over and over by referring to the car to tell you what the MPG was. NEVER NEVER NEVER trust the propaganda from ANY vehicle as to what it is getting for MPG! You have to do the math yourself. 1st, Go to the gas station and fill it up and write down the miles on the odometer. 2nd, drive the car for at least 200 miles and go back to the gas station. 3rd, fill it up and write down the gallons used and the miles riven. 4th , divide the miles by the gallons used and you will get the TRUE MPG. So if you drove 327 miles and used 8.175 gallons you ended up with 40 MPG. Again, never trust the propaganda from the manufacturer!

      I can't always justify spending $50 in gas to do a video that may or may not perform well. FWIW I did spend a fair bit of gas money (and hotel cost) on my Prius MPG video. This is not my personal car, but a manufacturer prototype. I try to be transparent about how I performed the test. In my experience, most cars indicate anywhere from 2-10% off from calculated MPG. ruclips.net/video/aUO1--qHLtk/видео.html

      Toyota does not put the MPG numbers on the sticker, a lab does! The lab does all sorts of crazy things like putting the car on a dynometer to check the exhaust measurements and horsepower at different RPMs, drag coefficient, weight and plug it into a formula and the MPG is given. It's only a good guess and many cars return higher actual MPG numbers but those real world MPG are not allowed on the sticker.

    • @djplonghead5403
      @djplonghead5403 3 месяца назад

      @@brianshilling70some return higher and some return lower. Hybrids get worse MPG in winter compared to a gas car. If you go up a hill and not back down hybrids will do bad. The up hill uses a lot more gas significantly lowering mpg. When doing back down you get a lot of that back. Regular gas also gets worse uphill but it just coasts downhill.
