Have test driven both. For my money, it's the XLE. The only thing I REALLY miss is the heated steering wheel. Sunroof would have been nice to brighten the interior but no big deal. I actually LIKE the cloth seats, probably don't need ventilation. The XLE stereo is just fine. Just noticed while watching the video that the XLE doesn't have memory seats? C'mon, Toyota.
I got the 2024 xle supersonic red. Great car. For me there's plenty of technology in it. Don't need the liminted.
We love our Crown Limited getting 45.1 MPG, AWD is nice for the winter months, Toyota got the ride height on the money for ingress / egress. 👍👍
I know you have done extensive reviews of the 2021 Venza, but will you do a new review of the 2023 Venza Limited? I am still four years from buying my Venza, because I am going to write a check when I am ready.

Still too expensive… Toyota needs to get production up of rav4 and Camry. More affordable vehicles so dealers have to stop these market adjustments. All this promo for new stuff when we can get the normal stuff. Toyota customers will opt for other brands eventually :(

For the AZ heat I definitely prefer the xle because the leather and glass roof would just make the car feel like an oven. I also prefer the headroom space without the sunroof

You can always close the sunroof & the seats in the Limited are ventilated ….
You can turn on your Limited from the Toyota Connect Ap and regulate the temp

its frustrating to pay for features that you don't want and that if you have to get anyway, you have to put them away. it's like paying for inconvenience.
cloth seats are actually cooler and you don't have to pay more for them and you don't have to pay more for leather or fake leather. remote start does the trick.
honda messed up with the accord in that they don't have rear ac vents unless you get leather - but then they don't have vented seats. maybe on the 39k touring model. (and then they don't have a spare cuz they put the battery there.)
it's frustrating shopping for a big car that just gives you the basics.
Most of the time with cloth seats you don’t need heat or vent.
I do NOT care about moonroof OPR Leather so the XLE is just right
I bought the XLE in magnetic grey ,it’s a beaut,the gas mileage is amazing.get about 700miles per tank.
I have a limited and my first tank was a disappointment. Hopefully, it improves.

@sarasmith9952 did you get the 21" wheels...if so you loose a good bit of performance and gas mileage. The 21" wheels should be reserved for the platinum since its made for speed not gas mileage.
Same here, I drove through traffic the other day and got 48.5 mpg on the 15 mile city trip...amazing. We are about to do our first interstate road trip this weekend...I'm betting it delivers on the 41mpg highway it's rated for.
Limited is best, in my opinion. I hate that Toyota arbitrarily takes stuff away from $40k flagship simply to create tiers but at this price point the additional $5k for Limited's features will pay off over the life (say 10 years minimum) of the car if you plan to keep it. The superior headlights and front parking features are worth the upgrade cost alone. Also, Limited with optional Tech Package should not be a thing. 360/Panoramic camera view should be standard with Limited not locked away behind 21' rims but again that's Toyota's thing of stripping features away simply to create tiers.
Also, Jeff are you saying XLE has no backup parking sensors?

I got a limited crown with the tech package and mines didint come with that eye tracker that's a little above the steering wheel. Do you know why that is? I'm in Cali
Dang! I was hoping this was a hatch style back end (like the VW Arteon). Huge trunk but would be so much more useful. Otherwise the limited it worth the extra squeeze. I’d actually consider buying one save for the trunk situation.

Love your entertaining videos! Hey, you missed the Heated rear seats in the Limited. Couple of disappointing things in the Limited for us who want the fuel economy rather than the power in the Platinum….lack of the Digital rear-view mirror AND no Digital Key. Now I’m going to have to install a Command Start.
The cloth seats on the XLE look very comfortable. Perhaps cloth negates the need for ventilated seats.
Hi Jeff!! I like the price of the XLE, but I like the creature comforts of the Limited with leather seats. I don't like the fixed sun roof, but I can't believe they both have HUGE trunks!.
I would choose the limited. Has all I want. I would NOT do the Platinum trim since it’s so much more.
I love the Crown and hate it at the same time.
Beautiful sedan, awesome lines. Gorgeous leather. In love with the red/black 2 tone. Infotainment system is badass. I hear the ride height is a little higher which is awesome. Engine and mpgs are sick.
That shifter is atrocious. The fully digital dash is fancy, but it is not my thing and I feel like it cheapens the car. I like to feel physically connected to my engine, not looking at a phone screen for rpms when I’m pressing my foot down on the throttle.
The only other complaint is it looks smaller than I thought, but maybe that’s just the video. Haven’t seen one in person yet. I was thinking it was gonna be Avalon sized.
I purchased the limited 3 weeks ago. It is bigger than the Avalon. It drives and feels like a crossover

I have the Black XLE. I couldn’t justify the extra money for the Limited or the Platinum. I’m plenty satisfied. 43 mpg and seats are cloth but comfortable. Horsepower is enough for me for the price.

@@baseemalsaied4914 Pretty nice. No complaints at all. Slight wind noise but very minimal. Smooth ride. Cloth seats feel nice. Ride is very nice. Gas mileage is incredible.
Did you get 1 or 2 keys from the dealer? I heard they give one only at this time. Is this true?

@@tsw808 Great point! I was given one key and told another is coming soon but it’s been a few months and I still haven’t received a 2nd key.
This car is screaming to be a fastback! The design is already there, just swap that trunk. It would add so much more versatility and I'd be all over it.
Nice cars. Better to wait a few years, to see how it holds up. Plus both models are too expensive!

Jeff, at 6’5” my head hits the headliner in the Limited with the moonroof. Is there more headroom clearance in the xle if moonroof is not installed?
I'm 6ft6in Tall and Slender Build also My Cousin Eddie has the XLE White with Black interior. I Sit in the Passenger seat and I Have PLENTY of HeadRoom also Legroom 😊❤🎉.
Jeff, I purchased the Limited w Tech Package. I. LOVE. IT.!! But I’m not getting the mpg as advertised..averaging 38 mpg😩 Is there a break-in period perhaps..or if I burned the premium, instead of regular, would that help?
Same here, but I think the MPG is affected by the bigger tires. I'm good with the 3-2 mpg trade off, the 21 inch tires make a big difference appearance wise.
Thank you for the comparison, Jeff. I don't think the extra $6000 are worth it. However, the Crown XLE is such a downgrade from the Avalon XLE that it would be very unsatisfying by comparison and therefore you pretty much have to get the Limited just to get close to what the base Avalon offered. I believe that for what they offer, the XLE and Limited (an Platinum for that matter) are all overpriced. Interestingly, the Japanese version of the Crown has a lot of the features that we can't get here, even on the Platinum trim: a functioning tilt-and-slide moonroof, hands-free power trunk, digital rearview mirror, HUD, electric steering wheel adjustment, etc. Maybe Toyota's plan is to make the Crown so expensive and undesirable in the US that they can then kill it off with the argument that nobody is buying it; I have no other explanation for what they are offering here.
@Nobody Is that meant to be an insult or a compliment? Watch what you're saying. I'm 65 and love my Avalon. I'm glad I got one last year, while I still could. Let some young whippersnapper spend his money on a GR Corolla or a Crown or something else that's fashionable, not me. I'm happy with my old-people-car.

XLE model please. I recently purchased the entry level Camry. Wishing I had purchased the Crown. I am 6' 2" and 375 pounds. Some of the small features you pointed out were not important.
I Love the XLE for $40k with taxes. More than enough Options but I prefer All Red exterior with Black interior. 😊❤
XLE vs Limited in Syracuse NY is a 6-10K difference...wow, that's a lot for an upgrade..Platinum is another 5K....so 16 K difference between the 3 is really out there
Crown is a disappointment and cost & horsepower. Downgrade from the Avalon. I would only buy when Toyota puts more horsepower back into the Crown.
Oh wow, I did not realize that you were near the Raleigh / Durham area. I went to UNC Wilmington and my aunt used to live in Lizard Lick, not too far from the research triangle. Love that part of the country.

I'm 99% sure the crown will be my next purchase. I prefer the limited but its mostly because Im used to vented seats and a few other features that the limited has. That two toned interior is hideous. Whenever I do purchase, it will have to be the solid black. I wish a solid light gray was an option

3 Lexuses in my household, all with struts. I prefer prop rod which never failed. Every year i probably open the hood twice to fill up washer fluids.

My local dealer has a platinum coming in (the level I would get). He then sent me details... it's the copper/black bitone one. I said "sorry, I don't want to drive a duracell battery". Why do dealers order these odd colors? Is it because it's all they could get?
Depending on the dealer if they had already sold the one they have they can order the one you want, there are some dealers that say no one can order any specific one but they’re lying and want you to buy the one they have so check around
I asked my local dealer if you could order me the two-tone red and black he said yes they would take time so I went to a different dealer they said no one can order it would be a random crown that it would arrive so I decided to buy one from that second dealer but little did I know it was a crazy mark up with a lot of unnecessary packages then I got a call from my local dealer saying that the crown I wanted had arrived so I took the one I already bought and swapped it out and technically I’m paying more now so please look around and don’t get scammed by some of these dealers my local dealer had a $8000 mark up and the other one had a $2000 markup but had extra packages which were useless and overall made it more expensive by a lot

I wonder how the six speakers in the XLE sounds.
I did an XLE test drive and thought the sound system sounded pretty good. I’m sure the upgraded sound in the Limited is better, but I could be satisfied with the base.
My xle sounds decent. Perfect for my commute car.
I've got a dealer with two in stock. One white and one in magnetic grey. Both limited with the tech package.
I literally cannot decide which color! I love them both for different reasons.

I think that you can also downshift this transmission when going down a hill as an engine break . Does this engine have both port and direct fuel injection like the Camry?
Both are beauties. I have the 2023 Crown Limited. Size does matter.
Neither four thousand pound boxes are winners. Ugly, lifeless, boring and expensive.
