  • Toyota just knocked it out of the park with the return of the new Crown. Sedans might be dying in America, but this Crown begs to differ.

The Crown looks mediocre online but when you see it in person, that 50K pricetag all of a sudden makes sense. It's got more presence than the Lexus LS which is almost double the price of the Crown.

I was in the market for a 2021 or 2022 Lexus RX350 (due to the V6 engine) when my husband pointed out a vehicle on the roadway which was the Toyota Crown. I like sitting up high and was not in the least interested in a sedan. We ended up going to a Toyota dealership and test driving the Crown. We both fell in love. We’re now purchasing the Toyota Crown Limited. Serendipity. This was a great video and I enjoyed the comments here as well from other Crown owners.

I'm absolutely proud of owning one, and after all the cars I looked at, this one is still the most beautiful in my eyes! I also love that's so rare! This is a really nice car. I’ve driven one and I think it rides and is built to the standard of a Lexus. Looks are subjective, but it definitely looks like a Toyota to me I have to say, as an old man, that it is a major mistake to have those giant wheels on the car. It could ride so much better with smaller wheels and you wouldn’t have to worry about curbs as much, much less the cost of replacing the tires.

But could not accept all the exterior glossy black plastic on the front grill and the "nike swoosh" on the doors. Recently we thought it was time to give Toyota another look. Traded my 2019 Lincoln Mk Z for a Limited Crown. What a difference! The Crown rides better and the power is just enough for the high way cruising and plenty of power for in town.

Why didn't Toyota put Heads Up Display in the new Crown?? My 2021 Avalon Hybrid Limited has it. No Heads Up Display = NO SALE
Maybe the 2025 might have it...will have to wait and see.

Its overpriced... the quality inside is mediocre especially its sound proofing. knock in the side of the back bonnet and hear the crick sounds. even Yaris and its smaller Toyota has better quality in some parts with half the price or lower. Finally there is no comparison between this Mediocre car with Lex...

It is too ugly and WAY overpriced. You got every owner, all 3 dozen of them to comment. These are NOT selling at all. No one wants them other than the few dozen you got to comment. There just isn't a reason to buy something this ugly for this much money.

This car turned out to be a flop. Less people bought it last year than those who bought the Avalon in 2022, and Avalon numbers were not good in recent years. So if this were Toyota's attempt at boosting their large sedan sales, it has failed. So far in 2024 the numbers have gone up a bit compared to 2023, so maybe there is hope for it yet.

Um, the vehicle didn't arrive in showrooms till March 2023, well into the calendar year, so the numbers are missing about two months of sales when this model wasn't even around yet. Sure $50k isn't cheap and may be out of reach for many car buyers. And remember, the average price of a new vehicle is $47-$48k. Finally, this is a Toyota, which means I'll be driving my Crown around when many of its contemporaries have gone to car heaven or hell...

My mother in law just bought a 2024 Crown Limited and it's terrible. Tight front passenger seat, pointless wraparound section that you can't spread your legs out. Heavy steering. Rear set hard to get into without bumping your head. The sound system has way too much treble, sounds awful. Choppy navigation, can't default to north.
