Wow I’ve never seen someone do a nursery rhyme speedrun before.
They do have it at storybook land
As a former employee of Holiday World, thank you for the positive review and overview of the park. There is also Splashin' Safari waterpark at this theme park. Tons of fun for the entire family!
That was very nice of that lady to ask you if you needed her to take a pic of you since you were alone. In this time we are in even little acts of humanity seem big.
I work here, we are required to ask guests if they would like a picture when they are near statues
I guess if I had to recite nursery rhymes day in and day out, while driving a train..I'd sound just as grumpy as THAT guy....
Never did I think that I’d see a little theme park I live 2 hours from and have been to often would show up on one of my favorite channels! Welcome to Indiana!!😊
Hi Courtney a friend from Georgia how are you ☺.
Holidog Count: 14 times.
yes I sat through and count each one.
Nope. 16. I counted.
@Tumfur Barker Face woofers on yes you are right its 16
I counted how many times he said hot sauce when he went to the hot sauce museum and it was 51 times. 😂
Lol
Nothing like a juicy Weiner.
While the camera is focused on the greatest wooden coaster on earth "Probably my favorite ride here..." camera pans to "Gobbler Getaway" haha!
The kid yelling “lets shoot some turkeys” made me snort laugh.
That was our vacation as kids! I still go every year. Not a far drive, great value, clean and just a good time. Thanks for checking it out!
Absolutely, everything they do at this park is top notch quality.
Same for me,I'm from Louisville so its not a far drive
Tbh I was expecting this park to be cheesy and bland when I first heard about it, but it's a fantastic, well cared for, unique park that ended up being one of my top favorite parks.
While I haven’t been in awhile, it always seemed odd to me that there was never a haunted house in the Halloween section.
I never thought about it but oh my god that needs to happen! It would've been better than the swings that replaced the banshee
They do a haunted house for their Halloween event, but they put it in the Thanksgiving area 🤣

Poor Dave the train conductor he sounds so burnt out leave a like for Dave❤️
Lol. Sadly that would be me burned out or not. I wonder if David is monotone AF yo.
I hope you aren’t too stressed out Dave! ❤️
Dave was legit
Horatio Nelson Jackson! Travelled from San Francisco across the US in a Winton touring car. As a Hoosier living not too far from Holiday World I enjoy visiting this wonderful theme park. Thanks for the video Carpetbagger! Now I must visit it yet again!
I live about 45 minutes from here! I grew up with my parents taking me here and now I take my 3 daughters! It’s a wonderful park and so much fun and it’s so awesome to see you here!!!
We used to go to Holiday World every year for my birthday when I was growing up. It's one of my favorite amusement parks ever. It's awesome to see a video about it from you!
Never would have imagined there could be a Thanksgiving themed dark ride, but you found it!
Turkey shoot is fun !
One of my favorite places ! Thanks for not driving through my state like most people do.
My kids love the gobbler get away

Jjjjjjj
Kkkkk
That granny in the dark ride must be broke. I remember riding it either the first or second season after it opened and she would give a short spiel on the history of the turkey chase.
I think they turned her off eventually cuz they probably kept having to update the cat from all the back and forth. She's the best part lmao
I live here in Indiana, she gets turned off because sometimes she over heats, the reason i know this i worked at holiday world for a year
Ol granny has been chatting on that chair for a long time. Bet that milk and cookies wouldn't taste to good lol
Why am I reminded of Andrew Dice Clay when this guy tells the nursery rhymes?
I live just east of Holiday World! It is a gem, and the wooden coasters rival the bigger name parks. In that area alone you have tons of touristy places, including the largest Santa statue on earth and where all the Santa mail on earth is answered. In town, they have an amazing Christmas store that looks like something out of Disney. At Christmas the entire town comes alive and has a huge drive through Christmas light display.
Nearby is where Abraham Lincoln grew up, and they have both a large museum and recreated pioneer village.
Don't forget...
Free soft drinks !!
Free parking !!
Definite bonus! It’s been a while since my last visit, but the highlight for me was the blue, soft serve ice cream. Throughout the park, you knew who had some, as both their their mouth and tongue was stained blue! 😃
@@AdventureswithRogerOMG ROGER, I WATCH YOUR VIDEOS ALL THE TIME
@@chasebriscoefan14 Hey! 🙂
I grew up in Chicago, and I had never heard of this place, otherwise I would have gone. The very concept of a Thanksgiving themed dark ride is too magnificently ridiculous to pass up. Plus free soda? All I need to know.
Park has been here since the 1940s and was originally Santa Claus Land. They would go on to add lands themed to the different holidays, and in the 90s began to add big wood coasters. The staff is outstanding and yes free parking and drinks are a rare thing in amusement parks. Worth the drive! Hope you enjoy it. Very different than Great America (which I have also been going to since the late 70s).
It's about 6 hours away from Chicago, so that might be why.
The park is loaded wit coasters and water park rides
Glad to see you channel your inner "Lonely Island" while riding that dolphin!
I thought I imagined that reference it was so unexpected.
"I think that one's about murder" made me laugh so loud it startled my cat.
Scary part is we get the joke! LoL This ep is full o' belly laughs & guffaw-tears. Might just be me, but 'twas fun, nonetheless. The revolving holiday backdrop, the Little Train to BrainDrain, some high-rev strangeness & CB's timing & twist made it well worth the ticket!
Holiday world, what a great idea. Making a cool opportunity for all National holidays. Very nice visually, clean, friendly for kids of all ages. Really enjoyed following you on this one Jacob. Thanks for taking us along.
Imagine my surprise when I saw myself and friends in this video! Thanks for visiting my local park, we love it! Family run, they have free parking, free drinks, and free sunscreen. And for their 75th anniversary this year, season pass renewals at one time we’re only $75.
Chris jerichos band fozzy filmed his new music video at holiday world
I miss when my family used to go to Holiday World! I remember riding the Thanksgiving dark ride with my dad after he had stent surgery…he was horrified and I was half expecting him to have a heart attack when the turkeys popped up 😂 he was fine though, thankfully.
(I think the “malfunctions” are due to another ride vehicle already being in the scene, so it makes you wait at the door to give the scene time to reset!)
I loved the glass blowing shop in Holiday World, too! And my dad winning me a teddy bear from a clearly rigged game, making the kid running it very, very unhappy 😂♥️ I’d love to go back again. Lots of great times.
One year I also rode the Turkey Whirl literally fifteen times in a row because there was no one in line and the lady running it kept asking “…you wanna go again?” Every time the ride ended ahaha
“I think that one’s about murder” lol
Wonderful as always ❤️ I loved how on the carousel dolphin human hands had worn away the paint presumably by patting its head over many years 😍
What a nice park. I like they kept older style rides, I especially like the antique cars. The “turkey callers” on the dark ride cracked me up. Thanks for giving a history of the park, it was interesting and really adds to the enjoyment of the video.
Grew up going there Holiday World was my childhood! Im actually from around their! Gotta say the Voyage was my favorite ride of them all.
If kids send their letters to Santa Claus, a lot of them end up in Santa Claus, Indiana. So they have volunteers write and respond to their letters. I think it's super sweet.
I live a few hours from here and use to go every year as a kid! Santa Claus is really nice in the winter time too because of Lake Rudolph's Land of Lights!
This is such a great them park and especially so for the value! Where else can you get in for top rides, two parks, cheap good food, free unlimited drinks and sunblock? And it's all for one low price!
Lol you sound like you work for them!
@@deborahdesanto2313 Santa Claus, Indiana
I prefer Kings Island.
Don't forget free parking
@@RallyeGuy340 Nope just a huge fan! I think it's an underrated theme park and of course there is a lot of history in the area.
I click like even before watching a Carpetbagger video because I know it’s already quality stuff 🙌🏼 Jacob, I’ve never wanted to shake someone’s hand more and tell them they should be proud of the content they create 👍🏼 Thanks for the years of adventures, look forward to the journeys yet to come👌🏼
Love the simplicity of this place. Not everywhere has to be SUPER animitronic to be cool.
I live two hours from Holiday World. Was so happy to see that you did this video of Holiday World. Enjoy your videos!
This is giving me Nightmare Before Christmas vibes when they show the trees with the doors they go to all the holidays
What the YULETIDE BLAZES! My kid is currently obsessed with Christmas, and I was just telling them about this town!
This park looks so cool. Halloween themed Scrambler? Free Pepsi? Holidog? They could rework the logo.
Merry Christmas, everyone. Happy Thanksgiving, Holidog!
Holiday World used to be called Santa Claus Land when I was a kid.
I laughed out loud when you said “step father Joseph “ at the nativity scene!!
Well that was certainly different. That is the quickest version of nursery rhymes I have ever seen. The train needs a little oil to fix the squeak Lol. What a different dark ride. Very cool. Keep Safe ❤Keep Well❤
I feel like I just visited the park! As I watched I knew exactly where you were, seeing it on video made me realize how strange some of the attractions are and not holiday related at all. Still I wouldn't change it for anything and well, that's Hoosiers for ya! I've gone to Holiday World more times than I can count. Thanks for showing one of my favorite places on earth! A true Southern Indiana gem. Can you tell I'm from the area, lol!
They used to have a Toy Museum and Doll museum apart of Holiday World. The Log fume rides where great as well, I wished they kept the trees up around some of the rides, they gave the rides some atmosphere but from that I live an hour away and it's a great place. Have to take a pic with Holidog everytime I visit. Lol
I was so disappointment to find that they had taken those museums and the old Christmas store out! Broke my heart. It was a family tradition to always check those out and to buy a new Christmas ornament every time we went. The new souvenir stores are lame. I miss terribly the glass blowers, too. . .I'd always buy something there as well. Remember the weather swans? Another part I wish they'd never taken out was the wax museum. Those places were iconic and unique and to me as a kid made the place extra special.
This would be one of those Grizwalds family vacations I would take 💕
The train conductor was in a hurry lol
We live right down the road in Evansville thanks for sharing
I can't believe you didn't ride the raven!
I've been coming here since the 80s when I was a kid. We love Holidog!
Hoosier native here. We visit Holiday World 3-4 times a year. Gobbler getaway , raging rapids , lazy river , and the wave pools are our favorites.
Awesome! That was my first theme park I went to as a kid. Grew up in So IL.
Free drinks?! That's awesome
Free parking and sun block also...!!
Big red is popular in Indiana because the company that distributes it, RC Cola, is made in Southern Indiana.
Fond memories of this park growing up in the 80’s. They used to have a roller coaster called the ‘Fire Cracker’. One of the simplest, most basic coasters I’ve ever ridden. Sometimes I miss the older rides. Great to see you in Southern Indiana. Big Red for the win.
'80s
Really?!? That is your contribution to my comment. GTFO.
Now I know why I seldom comment. Some people. I’m sure you tire yourself out every day correcting others’ mistakes.
I remember the old coaster. It always looked so sketchy lol i was too small to ride. And yes big red for the win.
Its a shame you don't do waterparks. Splashin' Safari is one of the best in the country!
Yes it is !!
100%
Hello from Evansville, IN we have been a few times to Holiday World and loved it!
Hello from Newburgh also !
I get the feeling the employee that suggested a Thanksgiving themed buffet was fired and the employee that suggested a Thanksgiving themed dark ride was promoted.
Thankyou .enjoyed the replay 😍
Your videos are great. Thanks for sharing.
I think this is a very cute amusement! Very unique in its own way . Love it
Been to many stellar coaster events here (going back to Stark Raven Mad days) as well as regular visits. Simply THE nicest staff outside Disney and you cannot beat the *free drinks and parking. (admission was barely adjusted to cover the overall costs and it works well).
The last time I was there I rode thunderbird 7 times in a row. I don't live too far away for there 1hr. and 30mins. Use to go every summer when we were all kids,
Really enjoyed this video appreciate what you do buddy keep up the great content 👍
My sister went with my parents back in the 80s(?) When it was still Santa Claus land and apparently she was such a brat my parents never took her back. 😂 now I live 45 minutes away and my husband and I go every summer!
My dad used to take me here. This brings back memories
Thats awesome carpetbagger
I eagerly await every episode you post!
Your poetic use of the word “soggy” ahh… I can’t explain my enjoyment any further.
Free drinks is a great idea more parks should do this . great vlogg jacob
This is great. I've been a few times with my daughter and her friends
The couple of call backs to the hunched over train conductor made me laugh.
This was a phenomenal episode - really enjoyed it!
That’s a very unique theme park!
Thanks for another great video Jacob. I also wanted to thank you for inspiring me to get in my truck and drive to Vegas to see Area 15 on a whim with a friend. That cross country trip was an experience I never would have known about or been able to enjoy without first enjoying your vlogs. Thanks for keeping it real. I'm looking forward to seeing many more of your adventures and exploring more of our country as well.
wowzer...the quickest nursery rhymes ever!..&, the microphone was much more clear than the Jungle Rides in Disney, lol
I grew up about an hour south of Holiday World and as a kid I use to love visiting it. As an adult, I barely even bother with it anymore, aside from the once a year event when they'll run The Voyage with it's trim breaks off and really let that coaster go ballistic. If you ever go for the event, get your night rides on on that one for sure!
Thank you for this video. It got a subscribe from me. Your trip reports are fun and compelling, I am traveling vicariously through you. Thanks!! Keep them coming, I'll keep watching. Bravo!
I used to go there almost every year in the 80's on family vacations. Loved the flying eagles
I like the adventures . Get to see places i have never been . Thank u for virtually bringing me
Jesus's stepfather oh that killed me! You are hilarious
Holidog looks like Fleegal from The Banana Splits.
That train conductor job would be perfect for Andrew Dice Clay and more fun for the guests..
Thus is cool! I never knew this place even existed! Thanks for showing us some of the lesser known stuff!
I remember that park when it was Santa Claus Land. Use to go there in the 60 s and 70s
Humpty Dumpty was about a huge gun/cannon on a castle wall 🏰 Thanks Jacob 🇬🇧
Cool place. Thanks for sharing your adventure.
I love this channel it is so wholesome and interesting. Gives nostalgia for some reason
Much funnier than usual, & yr usual's quite often pretty funny, so...thanks!
Thank you for the video, you made my night better
Love this
That was awesome! I've never seen an amusement park for holidays. Very cool
24:00 they may be loading a handicap rider which parks will often stop movement for. Just depends on the ride system and how blocks are set up to avoid cars bumping.
This is new to me,we lived in Indiana for 3yrs,early 70s and we never went wish we had,my father would have enjoyed going to this park!!!!!! Thanks for trip!!!!!!
"Probably my favorite ride in Holiday World".... Showing the #1 rated Wooden coaster in the world (Voyage) and spins around to Gobbler Getaway! Lol.
Not gonna even mention the #1 waterpark Splashin Safari Jacob? Lol.
Love the Halloween swing!
I've often wondered if my intense love for Christmas was due many visits to this park when it was Santa Claus Land and the heavy theming that made me so happy. Glad this park is going stronger than ever. I miss the old Firecracker coaster and the Hall of Famous Americans wax museum. I don't miss throwing up on their Octopus ride 'Paul Revere's Midnight Ride'. This is such a well manicured park that's clean and friendly with tons of shade for those long walks and the free drinks make it so much more pleasurable.
Poor Dave, I'd be bathing with a toaster if I had to do that everyday.
Got over my fear of coasters at this park! Thunderbird is my favorite coaster now
I was here in 2001 and all I remember was the free soda and sunscreen. Time to make another visit. Thanks for visiting this nice park.
Carpetbagger.. Great LIVE last night. I was getting tested for COVID while I was listening...
I hope you get good news
Yay you went back!
Thank you for making this video. I’ve been thinking about this place for our next summer vacation. We will definitely have to check it out this summer. It looks like a great place for some clean family fun.
I hope you went and had fun
We were just talking about this place last night! Our family members are going!🥳🤘
