- Join us for our first time visiting Holiday World theme park in Santa Claus, Indiana as part of our summer 2022 road trip! We fell in love with this holiday themed amusement park with lands that celebrate Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving and the 4th of July, and an incredible night time show called Holidays in the Sky with 300 drones and fireworks! We rode classics like The Raven, The Legend, The Voyage, Thunderbird and Gobbler Getaway, we met Santa Claus, Halloween Kitty, George the Eagle, Holidog and more fun characters, and enjoyed their summer nighttime Holidays in the Sky drone and fireworks show and summer dance party!! It was a wonderful day and we fell in love with this park! I hope you enjoy the day with us and the wonderful, impressive nighttime drone show, as we visit Holiday World and Splashin Safari for the first time!

Jackie, LOVED the video. I'm a hoosier and grew up going to Holiday world. Wish you could have seen it as Santa Claus Land, 50 years ago,lol. But, why didn't you at least walk through SPLASHIN SAFARI?? ITS AMAZING! One of the best water parks I've been to, outside of Disney. Even has 2 watercoasters! You HAVE to come back soon!
As someone from Indiana I've avoided the parks here for years. Since this state isn't exactly known for fun and entertainment. Went here and it was one of the most charming parks I've been to with some surprisingly great coasters. A ton of parks could benefit from the free sunscreen and free drinks...two simple things that always make your day. It really is a hidden gem in this state.
Agree, it is SUCH a hidden gem and the way they care about guests having a comfortable day makes a huuuuge difference!
You missed out avoiding it for years I’m from a state over and my entire childhood and when I got older started going again just for this park

@@jeandavidnau8314 Sorry but when it comes to fun, amusement, entertainment, and what not the state lacks big time. Unless you enjoy sports or outdoor recreation there isn’t anything to do here. It’s boring. Not the most boring state but boring either way. Good for quite peaceful living though.

The state is 17th in population and is the 24th most visited state..There are outstanding nationally ranked museums, and the state park inns have the highest occupancy rate in America..With a high population comes all the goods and services people demand..And speaking of demand, Indiana has the highest positive migration rate in the Midwest and the highest population growth in the midwest for 3 decades. So people voting with their feet disagree with you..Again what is it you want to do that you can't do here?

I love the Santa Claus Land retro merchandise! That’s what Holiday World was called back in the 70’s when I was a kid.
I love it too! The fonts, the colors, everything!
Found myself tearing up so many times watching the way you honored holiday world. It's a special park my family has enjoyed for so many years. So, so happy you enjoyed yourself.

My family and I LOVE Holiday World! It is one of the most amazing, beautiful, fun, and family focused and friendly parks in the Country. We love that they offer free drinks and sunscreen and the staff is just about the friendliest and kindest around. You all definitely need to check out the Water Park there. It’s absolutely one of the best in the Country. Holiday World is definitely a unique, fun and charming park. Thanks for showcasing it and I’m glad that you and Sam enjoyed it so much.

Holiday World is my home park and it has a such a special place in my heart. It has been so amazing to see it grow over the years. Fun fact about the Thunderbird, the "Will Power" building is a tribute to one of the parks former owners Will Koch. It is a family owned park and as tribute to their dad Leah and Lauren, along with their teams, dedicated that to their father who passed away very young. They said it was a dream for Will to have a steel coaster in the park one day and the girls wanted to do that for him.
Holiday world is great and my home park! Highly recommend making time for splashin safari if you’re ever back it’s one of the best water parks in the country.

I have to say that Holiday World's drone and fireworks show was the most amazing one I've ever seen in my life. It must have been magnificent to see it in person. I thought Disney put on a good fireworks show but this tops them all. So much talent and you're right whatever they're making they should pay them more. All I can say is wow. Except for thank you you guys for taking the time to Vlog this for us.
I would take a drone show over fireworks anyday. That was amazing!! Disney needs to be taking some notes from these smaller parks, including free beverages!!!
I love this place and they are very caring even to disabled guests as an autistic person I’m so happy they added in the calming room ❤

Its not everyday you see a barn owl chilling in the queue line for a B&M wing coaster!....not a real one anyway! Love the look and feel of the park. Super vlog Jackie. 👍

OMG!!! This road trip is everything!!!! Soo many parks, so many states. I have never heard of a Holiday theme park…. How awesome is that!!!!! The roller coasters are wild. I have a hard time riding wooden coasters because I feel they bang me up a lot… I love the drone show at the last park but this one is awesome!!! How do they even do that??? Keeping ALL those drones in perfect position just blows my mind.
So glad you went to Holiday World!!!! We live near Indianapolis and have been several times! It's always so clean, free parking, pop, and sunscreen! That's what I call Hoosier Hospitality😊👍😊

Hey Jackie, thanks for the awesome video of Holiday World and the incredible drone and fireworks show! My family and I planned on going during our yearly summer visit to see our families back in Owensboro, KY, but the heat index was around 110 the days we were in town!!! We really wanted to see that drone show, but didn’t think the kids could hang that long in that kind of heat!😬 Hopefully it will be back next summer along with some cooler weather! Anyway, we are heading back to Orlando for the November meet up at Universal Studios, as well as one day at Magic Kingdom for the Christmas party and several days at Sea World! Maybe we’ll see you at one of those parks! Thanks again for the great video of our “hometown area” Theme Park!! It truly is one of the best in the nation!

I feel lucky to live an hour and a half away from Holiday World
Fun fact-when I was a little kid this place was called Santa Claus Land and had mainly kiddie rides and a petting zoo (I remember because I was traumatized after being spit on my a goat lol). It’s amazing to see how much the park has grown over the years! I’m so glad you filmed the drone show…we are season pass holders but couldn’t always stay that late with kids, and the couple of times we planned to stay it got rained out, so we missed it!
Thank you!!! I'm always telling people about the petting zoo and nobody believes me because you can't find anything online about it and I'm oldest among my friends and not one of them remember!
@@spanky814 there are holiblog articles and things online and videos about the parks history and additions and removals and there was alot of stuff about it out when they celebrated an anniversary a bit back the gift shops would have huge books of pics of the park throughout the years

This is the park my mom and grandma took my cousins and I to when I was a kid (in the early 90's), back when it was called Santa Claus Land. I loved seeing you two experiencing it for the first time!

That drone show was AMAZING. I think a drone show would be PERFECT for Animal Kingdom since they can't do fireworks.

I don't think drones are allowed either unfortunately. Park is 3 miles from the airport and federal law doesn't allow drones within 5 miles.
Hi friend, having good time there and fun. I have been holiday world two times in 2016 and 2018 with my brothers and newpews. Not too far away my home. I like raven roller coasters, it wasn't bad, water coasters, thunderbird ride and the legend. We did great time there. Have a great day friend 😊 👍

I absolutely love this park it's up there with Dollywood, Knoebels, and Cedar Point for my most favorite amusement park. It's small but it has an amazing coaster collection

Glad you had a fun time at my original home park! You were both super lucky to ride a wooden coaster notoriously voted best year after year and the only B&M launched wing coaster in the world! Nice credits! It’s pretty crazy that this park is still a family and town run park. A lot of your sweet treats like the peppermint bark or short breads are home made. It’s awesome to not see this park sell out yet

We have been to Holiday World a couple of times. We love to camp at Lake Rudolph, just across the lake. So many things to do there at the campground. Thank you for showing the drone show, we saw it from the campground a few weeks ago. Next time we will stay in the park and watch it.

I so appreciate that although you couldn’t do POVs that you took time to include views of each coaster from different perspectives to give us an idea. That must’ve taken a lot of time, thank you. I went to Dollywood a few days after you and saw the drone show and thought it was amazing. The fact that you think Holiday Worlds drone show blows it out of the water makes me want to go there even more!

Free parking, free soft drinks, free sunscreen! We get to hear the commercial all the time on the radio! Lol! Holiday World is such a great and affordable amusement park! Going in the Fall is super fun too! They have hayrides, haunted houses (family friendly, no scares) and other Fall themed activities!
