I love KIngs Island and the blue ice cream (I’ll always call it Smurf ice cream since that’s what it was called there in the 80’s. PS they had the best Smurf boat dark ride back then too! 💙)
King's Island is really underrated and I am so glad you were able to experience it. I have a feeling Cedar Point is coming up and I am so excited. You are the best Jackie! 😃
Try my best favorite Restaurant and dessert 🍫🎂🍰 today and try some coffee ☕☕ and tea sit-down restaurant to relax cool off refreshing drink today have a super fun day
I know I'm leaving this comment super late, but watching this one was really special. My wife went here all the time as a teenager so we watched this last night and she shared all her memories of the park. Thanks!
THANK YOU for including so much of the Phantom theatre show for those of us who will never get to see it, we could feel your love for it through our tv and it was all smiles here in this household ! Another excellent vlog from you miss Enthused , the best Kings Island vlog I’ve seen our whole family loved watching it with our lunch today 😻
Holy Moley the voices in that live show!! The singers were incredible and the actors sounded so professional! I would have loved that even without having been on the original ride.
We went to Disney to celebrate their 50th anniversary but it doesn't feel like the are celebrating the history of the park. This nighttime show gets you in the feels and celebrates Kings Island history. Another great video. Disney take notes.
THE park I went to a Dozen times as a kid! Still. Great park. It's mind boggling that Disney World and King's Island are celebrating 50 years to as I was there at the beginning and later on too! Love the video and YES, I will hit this park to relive and live anew what was and is there!
I’m absolutely loving this series! It’s so much fun watching you experience things for the first time and it’s like I am there and not recovering from surgery. You’re definitely helping me get through this! Safe travels! Send my best to Sam!
Jackie thanks for bringing the 3 theme parks from my childhood to your vlog Kings Island Holiday World and Kentucky Kingdom. We could never afford to go to Disney when I was a kid so it was nice to see you experience these parks. Hopefully I’ll see you again when I’m at Disney August 14-17. Enjoy this gas money as a token of appreciation for all you do! Be safe ✌🏻🍻
Every time I ride The Racer, I always have to take a look to see if Mr. Brady’s lost architectural drawings are sitting in one of those seats. 🤣🤣 Awesome video of an awesome park. Great job Jackie! King’s Island holds so much nostalgia and good feelings for me and so many others. I loved the old Hanna Barbera theming from my childhood days. I gotta admit some of the tributes to those times kinda hit me in the heartstrings. Totally agree that the Phantom Theater show was one of the best ever. We need to lobby King’s Island to bring back that ride and use those same performers as the voice actors! 🙂 Mystic Timbers is one of the best coasters around and The Beast is an absolute legend and one of a kind. Glad that you and Sam enjoyed King’s Island and hope you all come back again soon! 🙂
I REALLY hope they'll bring the Phantom Theater back! I remember that ride being really good! Kings Island is a great park, with so much to offer! I absolutely loved Mystic Timbers! The Beast, Diamondback, Orion, The Bat, and Adventure Express are all well worth riding, too! I'm happy you guys had a great time!
Boo Blasters used to be the Phantom of the Opera. The queue in the first big room scared me so bad as a kid that I was bawling and had to be walked back out the entrance! 😂😂😂
Mystic Timbers is my favorite coaster in the park as well! It's just an amazing wooden coaster. So fast and so smooth. They don't get much better than that one.
So fun !! I also love that they have a sensory inclusive show. I have a nephew who has autism and it makes me so happy to see so many places doing their part to include people in all parts of the spectrum 💙
You and Sam add so much to the love of theme parks. Not everyone can afford Disney, and the parks around the country offer all the things that are old fashion America, from the food to the exhibits, farm shows and music. Thanks so much for the experience..
so happy I went back to find this. Kings Island was my first theme park and for a midwest kid it was like walking Magic Kingdom. The tower with the fountains was so cool. The racers early on was their only coaster. Later was the beast. Still unique to me as it goes through woods and uses the natural landscape. Your analogy to a long train ride is pretty accurate really..even sounds like it at times if my memory serves me. The rest though doesn't ring a bell though as it's changed of course. Looks like the festhause is still there..always good for a beer when I got older. I always was jealous of those who lived close and probably played a role years later in moving to FL. This has me thinking of going up again taking a visit. Thanks as always.
I had to pause the video and say, Sam is amazing! such a laid back friendly guy, I absolutely love him in the videos. You two make such a great fun loving couple. Happy for the both of you!
I am so happy you went to King's Island!! I grew up going there with my family, we would go every summer the last weekend before school started. Watching your video brought back so many wonderful memories. The Beast and the Racers are two of my absolute favorite wooden roller coasters. Thank you, thank you!! Loved your video!
Kings Island was the park I grew up in! It has always been an amazing park! I'm so glad you enjoyed it and will be back. The Beast at night is even more incredible! Love all of you and Sam's videos!! You guys are amazing!!
We're so pleased to hear you had so much fun at our home park! Amazing! We hope you come back again real soon! Hopefully one of these days we can meet!
I’ve been going to Kings Island since I was little and know it very well. It was really fun to see one of my favorite vlogs experience it for the first time. It’s always been a happy place for me to escape to once a year and you seemed to really capture that special atmosphere that I always feel when I’m there. Thanks for including it in your trip! I always look forward to your videos, they’re so lighthearted and fun! A welcome escape from these stressful and often difficult days.
This was the park I grew up going to with my family and friends. I even worked there for a summer when I was in high school - my first real job! So many great memories. Thank you for going to KI and sharing your experience!
What a nice park that is. You are becoming “Queen of the Coasters” 🎢! Love a park train ride…really cute. And those fireworks were amazing. Continued safe & happy travels.
Fantastic video Jackie, I love hearing your thoughts on all of these amazing parks and the rides in them, and I love that Sam is telling us what he thinks too! Have an amazing rest of your road trip!
Thank you so much for this!! I spent the majority of the summers of my adolescence at King's Island. Phantom was still open then and the park was owned by Paramount the last time we went. We moved to FL and haven't been back in 20 yrs. Thanks for bringing me home for 45 wonderful minutes!! ❤❤❤👏👏🏠🎢🎢🎡🎡
my family went here almost every year-and cedar point is right around the corner-- and always remembered the Italian ices, so have fun and see you on the next vlog......stay enthused..
Glad you love Kings Island island as much as we do. Boo blaster used to be phantom theater, when it first opened it was Enchanted Voyage. Woodstock coaster used to be called The Beastie.
Hi Jackie and Sam! So happy to see you two in my neck of the woods! Of course, I’m very partial to Holiday World, Cedar Point and Kings Island being at all parks multiple times myself. I was a bit bummed that your experience on Diamondback wasn’t your fav. But I have heard that it’s developed a rattle over the years. My family happen to have the best experience on diamond back, it was only a month old when we had our first experience… The guy seating people at that time asked if we had ever written diamondback before and we hadn’t and he said well you need to ride in the back then escorting us all to the back car. It was a night ride. I have never experienced anything like that on any other roller coaster since!! DA BEST!!
It’s awesome you Orlando based guys are doing our Midwest parks. Loved KI as a kid. With the price gouging at Disney right now, that Holiday World, Kings Island, Cedar Point loop is a lot better value and the rides are honestly way better.
I’ve been trying to show different parks for a long time and I’m glad others are taking notice and going too! ❤️❤️❤️ we got our Cedar passes earlier this year on the March and April road trips and this trip has been planned since then! the Cedar parks deserve a lot of love so glad if more ppl go :) it’s so refreshing to visit these parks w their great offerings for great prices!!
Y'all's video brought back so many great memories!! I went there when I was in 9th grade. The Screamin' Demon was the first roller coaster I ever rode and now it's no longer there! I fell in love with The Beast and rode it until I got bored (maybe like 12 times lol). Thank you for the memories!!
Phantom Theater was located where Boo Blasters is now. You can see the box above the queue that the Maestro sat in, playing an organ. He’d turn around often to warn guests in line. The cars are the same too, just painted. Fun Fact, just like Haunted Mansion, it had a whole large set using the Pepper’s Ghost effect. It was a stage/theater as opposed to a ballroom. It was where the (slightly terrifying) skeletons are now. In 2003, it became Scooby-Doo and the Haunted Castle. Hence the Castle facade. Layout stayed the same, but all scenery was changed. Boo Blasters only changed out Scooby animatronics for the ghostly characters you see now and is virtually the same exact ride.
Thank you for taking time out of your trip and stopping by KI! I'm happy you were able to be there on one of the days where the Phantom Theater was going on. I was curious how you and Sam would like Banshee, but leaves more to do next year!
Kings Island and Cedar Point were our go to parks growing up in Ohio. we had another cool park, Geauga Lake, which was adjacent to Sea World Ohio. it closed a while back. summers were never boring in Ohio. it's good to see you and Sam enjoying all this
I know some people think this to be the best park in America, and it’s not hard to see why. They have a stacked lineup of rides, great food, and is just so well run. Also, congrats on riding every giga in America, since Orion and Millennium Force are on the agenda for this road trip.
I was the operator at mystics entrance who said I love your videos and I’m so glad you guys liked Mystic Timbers it is my fav! Amazing video as always!!
The first time we went to King's Island, the lines were so low that we got to sit on The Beast and go a couple of times without getting off. Back in the day, when Paramount ran the show, they had a Nickelodeon section with the BEST suspended kiddie coaster called Runaway Reptar. I guess it's still there but themed as something else now.
Oh wow. It's been a hot minute since either of us have been to this park, and so much has changed! I now feel the need to make the drive and ride some favorites, and discover our new favorites during the celebration summer.
Welcome to Ohio. Kings Island is our home park. It is a great all around park. I much prefer kings island over Cedar point. My favorite coasters at kings island is probably Banshee followed by Diamond Back. Hope you enjoyed your time. Safe travels.
How fun!! Such great memories! Hearing the theme song to the Enchanted Voyage brought it all back. The Enchanted Voyage was a ride similar to the Small World ride @ Disney World. A cute little boat ride in the AC but that song.... lol! If my memory serves right, the wooden western town was home to a "train robber" style ride on the train and in its early days had animal exhibits similar to a zoo. My days at KI was in the 70's and you can say that a LOT has changed over the years. Thanks for sharing your visit!
Be thankful you rode the Beast this year, it was very rough last year the retrack was well worth it. Also I agree: Mystic Timbers is awesome hands down my absolute favorite GCI
We used to go here every summer back in the 90s, when it was owned by Paramount. Taking the backwards side on The Racer was the way to go! So many rides from back then are long gone now (Vortex, King Cobra, Top Gun), but The Beast was always the ride I came back to, over & over. I think this video has convinced me to go back; the last time I went was about ten years ago & it had lost some of its luster. So glad that Cedar Fair has plussed it up & given the park the love it deserves!
Paramount really ran the parks into the ground. Cedar Fairs really saved these parks. Now the landscaping is awsume and better world class rides are here. Top Gun is still there, now called the Bat.
MY FIRST TIME AT KINGS ISLAND - hope you all enjoy experiencing it with us! 💙💙💙
I loved it
I loved what you said about The Beast! Just too bad my first loop coaster is no longer there, The Vortex.
My home park! So glad you went!
I love KIngs Island and the blue ice cream (I’ll always call it Smurf ice cream since that’s what it was called there in the 80’s. PS they had the best Smurf boat dark ride back then too! 💙)
My favorite Cedar Fair park! Love The Beast and that blue ice cream is amazing. ❤️
Thanks for coming!
We had the best day!! 💙💛💙💛

If a show based on an extinct dark ride can make people who have never seen the dark ride fall in love with the ride, it's a damn good show!
Agree!

Sometimes there is also a male and female doing aerial work during the show.
@@vandy0419 luckily I got to see that today it's really cool!
There's a video here on youtube that someone took many years ago on the ride!!
I LOVED that Brady Bunch episode and think of it every time I see videos of Kings Island
We went to Disney to celebrate their 50th anniversary but it doesn't feel like the are celebrating the history of the park. This nighttime show gets you in the feels and celebrates Kings Island history. Another great video. Disney take notes.
Everything about this really felt like a celebration of the park and its history, so well done!
Can't beat a live show - such a throwback

Don't know if anyone else would remember but there was a time with the Racer that one of the cars went backwards and THAT was an experience!!
Yes, remember the backwards racer. It was such a unique experience trying to hang on
I remember. ❤️
The backwards racer always had a longer line than forwards 😊
Mystic Timbers is my favorite coaster in the park as well! It's just an amazing wooden coaster. So fast and so smooth. They don't get much better than that one.
Thanks for visiting my park! I grew up there. I worked there as a caricature artist for 7 years! A great park to visit!!
The Phantom Theater show really honors it's history. So many things done well in the play and performance.
