I have two things to say about Banshee. I’m not sure if you guys have seen it but there is a memorial to Son of Beast in the queue line which is the ride that Banshee replaced. Also, Banshee has a rare element called a Pretzel Knot I think. Glad you guys enjoyed the night ride on The Beast.
Last time I went I was too big so my friend rode alone. I was wondering why it was taking him a long time. Turns out he had been on an all liquid diet until that day and he projectile vomited in the brake run. I guess it sprayed all over the other riders. They had to shut the ride down to clean it. I remember everyone coming off the train looking so mad. I'll never forget that
So glad to see you have a great day this time, after the disappointment from your last visit. I worked at this park for 5 years as my first job, and grew up with it as my home. I, personally, haven't been back in 5 years, but I always enjoy people enjoying "my" park, and eagerly await my return home.
Redemption! As a Kings Island fanboy, this feels really good to see you guys having a great day there. Growing up with the park as my home park, it’s more than just a “like it” kind of feeling for me, I genuinely love this park as you guys might feel about Alton Towers. That being said, I was completely devastated with the 2019 visit and I certainly don’t blame that on Sean’s fatigue. It was just one of those days where everything was off (Cedar Fair, or maybe Ohio state law, has some very tough restrictions on weather, as I’ve had similar experiences at Cedar Point on rainy days too). But to see you smiling, enjoying the rides more and getting to see the true Kings Island vibe (especially at night when the park really hits its stride) makes me feel so good! My own thoughts on Kings Island…I really do love the park for its beauty, the operations, the way they take care of their rides and history and the more theming they are adding in. It was actually opened as a “theme” park with themed areas, and then ironically when Paramount took over, they went to more themed rides but dropped them in random places of the park (the area where Banshee is now is called Action Zone and was supposed to be like a movie set…and yet Backlot Stunt Coaster got plopped into Rivertown 🤷♂️). This really caused some disjointed areas of the park and it lost that “theme park” feel. Since Cedar Fair has taken over they have done so much to beautify the park and brought in some great new rides. I think it does lack that major standout premier top 10 overall coaster. We all had high hopes that Orion would be that ride and while I truly do love Orion, it’s not quite that premier standout, as are none of the other major coasters, as good as they are. I have high hopes that the vacant Vortex site may finally see that premier coaster come (my hope is a top line Mack Extreme Spinner there)…I also have my eye on the old Son of Beast site, behind Banshee. There’s room for an absolute monster back there (RMC). I’d also like them to continue the trend of themed experiences and start to blend them together more to bring back more themed lands again. I know it’ll never get to the level of a Phantasialand but I look at European parks like that and hope for something like this at my home park. Anyone, one can dream and hope. Thanks so much for doing these vlogs, it has been so great to follow you guys. I need to watch more of your European vlogs too! One of these days I hope to run into you in Ohio!!
I just wanted to say that I really see the growth between the 2019 trip and this one in terms of how it was put together, etc. It's very clear that you learned quite a bit from that first trip and put that experience to good use to make this one far better. There's a night and day vibe difference between this trip and the previous one, and you can feel how much more you're enjoying yourself this time around. I'm glad you've had a wonderful time at all of these parks and can't wait to finish the other videos!
The “It’s one of them” and “That’s the thing with…” count is high today! Another really enjoyable vlog, I take off my hat to the hard work involved in banging these out so consistently with never a drop in quality.
Cresting the top of the second drop on the Beast and seeing all those massive coaster lift hills poke out of the trees, like that scene from Jurassic Park, is always a good moment.
Even though I live in Indiana, 2 hours away from Kings Island, I still consider this my home park. I’ve been going many times since 1990, when I was just 5. Rode Son of Beast with and without the loop, and 2 weeks before it was shut down permanently. Wild to see how this park has transformed over the last 30 years. Still good to see the familiar face of The Beast still roaming the woods though. P.S. - The old Phantom Theater was one of my favorite rides as a kid. I found video of it awhile back if anyone cares to see what it was like. Phantom Theater starts around 8:52 in the video. ruclips.net/video/iARdKCqpyAU/видео.html
I like to do the same thing with Cedar Point. I live in Michigan and Michigan’s adventure is like 3 hours away, and cedar points only 2. So I say Cedar Point. 😬🤷🏻♂️
As someone who cherishes The Beast and swears the ride practically has a soul lol, I’m so happy when people travel from distances and manage to get a night ride - it’s just such a “raw” experience compared to some of the more traditional, off the shelf coasters or screen based dark rides. There’s no comparison. Did it give you vibes of The Ultimate at all? I always wanted to ride that and viewed it as the UK’s version of the Beast.
I went to KI for 3 days...got a Beast night ride the first night....next night I got a Mystic Timbers night ride and it blew the Beast out of the water at night. Yet noone talks about it
@@Posirep As far as a thrill element itself, yes mystic is super underrated at night because you feel like you’re going even faster through the woods. The beast as an overall experience at night though is just incredible. You leave the loud bright park and go on that journey through the woods in pitch black. It’s unreal.
I'm sooooo Happy that you two enjoyed my local parks (especially Kings Island) I've been waiting to see you return and give KI another chance, awesome content here looking forward to Dollywood!!
Absolutely awesome video. Growing up a poor kid in Indiana vacations were few but we generally managed a trip to Kings Island in the summer. One summer was special though. It was July 1980 I was 12 years old when I experienced the Beast at night in the rain. To this day all these years later I have never forgotten that ride. The Beast is definitely a one of a kind ride. It was what inspired me as a teenager to join ACE. I can say that that was the year I truly became a hard core enthusiast. This is one of the best channels on RUclips. Thanks for making an old man smile.
Hi shawn and Charlotte what a great Park the coasters look amazing. So glad you got your night ride on the Beast . Thanks for putting the on ride Pov's for us we really appreciate it. Thanks for sharing with us. Love to you both as always Tracey 💕 xxxx
We absolutely loved Kings Island. Agree that Diamond Back is fantastic; we made that our final ride , back row, on the day we had to come home. Loved Mystic Timbers too but think the shed would make more sense at the start? Found KI to be a beautiful looking park, well looked after and great operations. So glad you finally got that night ride on The Beast; it’s phenomenal.
Kings Island is my home park, and I 100% agree that Phantom Theater needs to come back. Hopefully since they've made two shows based on the ride, that it will come back.
KI is my home park and I'm glad you were able to come back and give it another chance and get the beast night ride. I agree with pretty much all your assessments on the rides. Diamondback is my favorite with Beast Night Ride and Orion right after. Banshee I have to agree is the last of the big 5, but I do have better rides in different seats. Along with continuing to add more theming, Cedar Fair needs to invest in some world-class dark rides for their bigger parks. KI could definitely use more than one.
I’ve been really enjoying your videos! Glad you both had a great time at KI! 👏🏻 Growing up, I used to love the Nickelodeon theme in the kids area! The Woodstock coaster, previously Fairly Odd Parents, was my first coaster there! Boo Blasters used to have a Scooby Doo theme, which you can still see by the style/music/sound effects of the ride.

Love Kings Island guys. Some of those rides look awesome, a real bucketlist park to visit. Would love to visit one day. However with that many coasters wouldn't know where to start!!😮
So glad that finally four years later you got that great day out at my home away from home park! Now to get that Mystic Timbers night ride next, also a stunner!
I will always love the Vortex because it was the first real coaster I ever rode. I hope they put either a huge RMC (like Iron Gwazi) or maybe even a spinning coaster (like Time Traveler) on the land where Vortex was.
I was right there in the Bat queue when you guys were reviewing your thoughts after you got off and I saw you. I should of yelled: “THEME PARK WORLDWIDE!!!!”
Orion is definitely classed as a giga, and it's the best one at that level too! Gotta take later rides on it like all coasters. Diamondback doesn't do much of anything for me. Mystic Timbers is best ride for me in the park by a long ways! Excited to see what they do next. Kings Island is a fantastic park, they've done some really awesome things to make it a perfect all around destination.
What a great way to enjoy my Sunday morning coffee while watching this vlog. The last time I was at kings island was the year adventure excited opened! So much had changed, coasters added, coasters removed. Anyone remember King Cobra? My first stand up coaster! I must add... I just scrolled through all the recent uploads, can anyone believe the first vlog from Dorney Park was 3 weeks ago!!! And still Sean and Charlotte are going strong, this will definitely be a trip not soon forgotten 😊
Agreed 100% about Banshee. For all that is good about it (I honestly think that is the best first drop on any B&M invert that I have been on and that final slow inline twist is amazing), it all gets negated by the trains. It’s funny because I don’t mind the vest restraints on GateKeeper and Valravn at Cedar Point, but for some reason I just don’t think they work well on Banshee. Thanks for sharing, glad you guys had a good time at my favorite park (and home to my #1 wood and steel coasters!) and safe travels!
Also didn't think you could get any better then Australia and USA trips but these trips sound amazing! Can't wait to experiencing coasters and the whole disney experience. Also I think sandbrook adventures will be enhanced greatly by seeing you experiencing a cruise ship. entertainment packages, and all the restaurants and relaxing aspects. (Could be a romantic trip Also 😍, Shawn could get some extra brownie points, if you know what I mean. 😘😆👍)
I also think does Shaun ever think what his adventures would be like without the beautiful Charlotte. They really are an amazing couple and bounce off eachother to make my top youtube crush couple. An amazing pair x
Super vlog from a super looking theme park. Look to have a great variety of attractions there and big thumbs up for opening till late to allow night time razzamatazz. A feast for the senses. Very pleased you two got that one in on this trip and thoroughly enjoyed your long day there. Nice one.
My comments on your commentary: (KI is my home park) Orion - Yes we all wish it was longer and maybe had some elements like Fury but as a speed beast its still a great coaster and my favorite at the park. - Yes first and last rows are the best middle can feel ordinary. Banshee - personally I love the vest restraints - no head banging. Rattle depends some on the train and the row. Banshee is my favorite invert and that last roll is the best invert element out there. Flight of Fear - used to be darker and faster. The slowed it down and lit it up when it became too rough. Bat and Invertigo - you hit those spot on Mystic - is in my opinion the best GCI out there. Diamondback - has the best floater of any B&M Hyper and my favorite. The train and Boo-Blasters are my wife's favorite rides Backlot - only complaint is the seats can be painful on the spine sometimes Ice Cream - they are famous for the blue ice cream. Woodstock Express - still a fun family coaster Ariel Chase was a great ride when it opened but now just a kiddie hang and bang. Racer -definitely back to being ridable with the re-track. Ride a non-wheel seat and its fun. Adventure Express - Theming good ride is just janky. Wish they would re-track it. Shows - KI does some of the best regional park shows. Only outdone by Disney type parks. Only problem was you missed the drone part of the fireworks. Yes - Beast night rides are the best. Thanks for the vlog it was fun seeing you at my home park.
Hi! I just found your channel, and so glad I did!! I grew up in the 70s and 80s going to Kings Island and Cedar Point every summer with my family, cousins, and grandparents. I remember the summer The Beast opened, the line for it, and it being the scariest ride in the world to a tiny 10yr old girl. Woodstock Express (called something else then) was my absolute favorite roller-coaster, and my grandma would ride it over and over with me. And The Racer was the HOT roller-coaster of my teens. I subscribed and am binge-watching. Thank you so much for the memories!!! ❤❤
This park will always have my ❤, I might live closer to Cedar Point now. I grew up 15 minutes from Kings Island and had a season pass every year of my life once I reached the age of needing a pass. I was going before that. I've sat all of the benches in the kid holding pens of the old days. I was five years younger than my sister and would go with her and my dad. I COULD not wait to be tall enough to ride instead of getting left in the kid pen. 😂❤
Love this epic trip. I can’t find time to comment on every piece of content you put out, put it’s amazing. It’s jealousy mixed with fanatical love! Peace.
Excellent video Shawn and Charlotte from the Kings Island in Ohio, the 17th theme park of our USA Road Trip! In this action-packed vlog, we experience all of the awesome roller coasters on offer at this fantastic park, including Orion, Diamondback, and Mystic Timbers. Along with that, we check out the various other rides on offer at Kings Island along with taking a look at the new themed area for 2023. We also enjoy some of the entertainment followed by a legendary night ride on The Beast! I can't wite to see the next video on the channel, Shawn and Charlotte. 👍👍
So happy to see that my home park delivered for you this time after that unfortunate visit in 2019. I'm with you that Diamondback is the best ride in the park and while Orion is good, it just doesn't provide the same amount of airtime and has more wasted elements in my opinion. I personally really like banshee however the vest restraints are terrible - you said it and I said it too! (Really hope that they aren't going to continue with that design on the inverted trains) The Racer, The Bat, and Adventure Express are all wonderful support coasters and I love seeing the investments in Racer and Adv Ex. I really hope they show the bat some love in the not too distant future. Of course the Beast is the Kings Island bucket list ride especially for night rides. So glad you got tp experience that. To me personally, The Beast and The Bat are the best two night rides because they are both located so far away from the rest of the park in the forest areas. Glad you enjoyed Mystic Timbers (its not one of my favs but I'm also not huge on GCI - much prefer a classic ptc or older woodies), stunt cars, flight of fear, and the kiddy coasters. Sounded like you both agree that Invertigo is not in great shape, kind of a head banger, but I hope they keep it around as its the only one of its kind here in the USA. Again, glad you got to experience Kings Island at it's best and may they give boo blaster the boot and bring back the Phantom Theater!
Hey you Pair … I also have a soft spot for Arrow coasters as it was the first looping coaster I went on .. a legendary Corkscrew at Seaworld on Gold Coast … loving this park
love the end of Mystic Timbers in the shed! always wished Wicker Man had something like that!! It's so boring when you go into the dark and nothing happens! so many great rides at Kings Island!! One day I'll get out there!
You definitely changed your stance on diamondback from your 2019 trip. I just watched that video and your review was not good at all😂....said how it rattled alot and just not your favorite. Glad you enjoyed your visit to KI.
The Kings Island redemption visit! On Orion I didn’t take you as someone who would care about the 91.44 meter club but you seemed pretty keen on going out of your way to state Orion is not a Giga at every chance you got haha.
Banshee is a weird one for me. Some rides I get a bad rattle, others I don’t. Personally don’t really mind the vest restraints. To me it’s an Invert with the grace of a wind coaster. I appreciate that it’s unique in that regard. Personally don’t think Diamondback is anything special, but Orion, while still a great ride, isn’t much better for me.
I like Orion, Diamondback, and Banshee. Mystic Timbers is over rated, but I want to get more rides on it. Cedar Point has a better coaster lineup, but Kings Island is good too.
38:23 surprised you didn’t mention that the stunt coaster was originally built based off the movie The Italian Job starring Mark Wahlberg and Charlize Theron. The trains resembled Mini Coopers and was meant to recreate the famous chase scene from the film.
Thanks S&C another park join. Very cool got a night Beast! (Seems like just there with the lads. Even remember Niagara Falls). Get to be in Iowa/Missouri area soon and follow along some of the circuit you choose. Be fun to go along!
Did your opinion on Diamondback change a lot since 2019? I seem to remember you not liking it that much back then. Maybe it was the day and being tired?
So so great that you had a great time this time! I felt bad for you last time because kings island is not like it was when you went… It’s just all the factors came together to make it a really bad day. I’m so glad you had a great time this time… I love Kings Island! It’s like Cedar Point’s scrappy little brother.
Another amazing video Me and my missus starting a drinking game watching these videos Rules Every time shawn woos have a drink Every time shawn goes way have 2 drinks When charlotte dances keep drinking till she stops Everytime shawn says however its 3 drinks
I was finally able to ride Orion recently and I was so excited! I enjoyed this ride and blacked out a little bit but I liked the Diamondback more. Likie you guys mentioned it wasnt as much airtime as I expected and the ride just felt a little to short but its still my top 3 favorite rides a long with Banshee
I had my fingers crossed for you to get your Beast night ride. It's my home park so I've gotten a trillion night rides on it, and it always bums me out when people don't get to experience it. I'm glad your subsequent rides on Orion were good to you.
Oh, goody. I could wax all night long poetic about Kings Island. While there's no Fury 325 or Steel Vengeance; the park is much better run and much more beautiful than any other Cedar Fair park. Of all the amusement parks I've visited: King's Island is the best in NOW in 2023 which I've heard is better than Cedar Point in 2023 (but possibly not as good as Cedar Point used to be in 2018- 2019). I'm glad I finally visited for my 1st time at age this past June 6th-9th , and I'm happy to see you two visiting KI too.
You can't change the definition of words...Oh, wait...Yes you can...lolol Seriously, what was Cedar Fair thinking about...? I loved when the Taft co. Owned it. Either KI would receive something new and different or a record breaker...

@@ihavetoreturnsomevideotape2760 no way man. michigans adventure
I waited in line for 1 1/2 hours to ride Vortex the first summer it opened. We rode it in the front row.
@@DreamofThrillswon't happen. Cedar Fair doesn't work with Intamin anymore.
Great vlog! Kings Island has a lot of great coasters! Especially the Mystic Timbers one!
It’s a great woodie!
I was right there in the Bat queue when you guys were reviewing your thoughts after you got off and I saw you. I should of yelled: “THEME PARK WORLDWIDE!!!!”
What day of week was it?
Brilliant! Hope you had a great day!
@@colekenyon4577 Week before this video. It took him a while to post it. I knew it was him because I remember the clothing and it was the same.
@@ThemeParkWorldwide Also thank you!
@@budbud513 so it was a Sunday?
I wish Vampire would still use the old Arrow trains like the Bat does
Orion is definitely classed as a giga, and it's the best one at that level too!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Thanks for watching!
Another awesome park another awesome video. Loved it. 😆😁😄😃😃😀😃😁😁
Brilliant, love the big smiles on both of your faces at the end of a long day, glad you got your night ride in! x
Thank you!
What a great day for you ! xx
Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Sooooo cool I’m a huge fan 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Also didn't think you could get any better then Australia and USA trips but these trips sound amazing! Can't wait to experiencing coasters and the whole disney experience. Also I think sandbrook adventures will be enhanced greatly by seeing you experiencing a cruise ship. entertainment packages, and all the restaurants and relaxing aspects. (Could be a romantic trip Also 😍, Shawn could get some extra brownie points, if you know what I mean. 😘😆👍)
Thank you!
Also, does Charlotte ever imagine what her life would be like if she never met Shawn and never experienced all the roller coasters?! Lol! 😂
I also think does Shaun ever think what his adventures would be like without the beautiful Charlotte. They really are an amazing couple and bounce off eachother to make my top youtube crush couple. An amazing pair x
Brilliant day at a brilliant park!
Nice Park...💛
Super vlog from a super looking theme park. Look to have a great variety of attractions there and big thumbs up for opening till late to allow night time razzamatazz. A feast for the senses. Very pleased you two got that one in on this trip and thoroughly enjoyed your long day there. Nice one.
We had a great day!
My comments on your commentary: (KI is my home park)
Orion - Yes we all wish it was longer and maybe had some elements like Fury but as a speed beast its still a great coaster and my favorite at the park.
Bat and Invertigo - you hit those spot on
Mystic - is in my opinion the best GCI out there.
Diamondback - has the best floater of any B&M Hyper and my favorite.
The train and Boo-Blasters are my wife's favorite rides
Backlot - only complaint is the seats can be painful on the spine sometimes
Ice Cream - they are famous for the blue ice cream.
Woodstock Express - still a fun family coaster
Ariel Chase was a great ride when it opened but now just a kiddie hang and bang.
Thanks for sharing!
Thank you!
Great video. Enjoying this trip!
Thank you
Love your Videos !!!!
Thank you
Yesss!!! Night Ride on the BEAST!!
Brilliant!
i love how one of the barrels on the spinning ride just says tequila lol
This park will always have my ❤, I might live closer to Cedar Point now. I grew up 15 minutes from Kings Island and had a season pass every year of my life once I reached the age of needing a pass. I was going before that. I've sat all of the benches in the kid holding pens of the old days. I was five years younger than my sister and would go with her and my dad. I COULD not wait to be tall enough to ride instead of getting left in the kid pen. 😂❤
Awesome Video Guys
The accents are lovely. I don't care what anyone says, Orion is nice.
KI is a great park. Glad you both had such a good time there. Thanks for sharing you opinions and experience 😁
We had a great day!
Redemption for Shawn on his night ride on The Beast! So glad he got to do this bucket list item with Charlotte on this trip.
Awesome vid guys loved it glad you you had so much fun. Can’t wait to see tomorrow’s vid be safe ❤️ Lisa
So glad you came to kings island including mystic tembers, banshe, and diamond back
Love this epic trip. I can’t find time to comment on every piece of content you put out, put it’s amazing. It’s jealousy mixed with fanatical love! Peace.
Thank you!
Amazing vlog as always
Can't wait for you to be back in the UK for a nemesis construction update!
More updates on the way soon!
Thank you!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Hey you Pair … I also have a soft spot for Arrow coasters as it was the first looping coaster I went on .. a legendary Corkscrew at Seaworld on Gold Coast … loving this park
one of my favourite vlogs this trip it was so so good i cannot wait for more to come you two are the best!!
Thank you!
love the end of Mystic Timbers in the shed! always wished Wicker Man had something like that!! It's so boring when you go into the dark and nothing happens!
so many great rides at Kings Island!! One day I'll get out there!
Absolutely fantastic
Thank you
You definitely changed your stance on diamondback from your 2019 trip. I just watched that video and your review was not good at all😂....said how it rattled alot and just not your favorite. Glad you enjoyed your visit to KI.
Another amazing day I’m waiting patiently for Dollywood ❤
Vlogs on the way soon!
I live in Cincinnati! Love PKI! Can't wait to watch your vlog later today. I'm chicken to ride Orion...
pki was a much easier url to remember than visitkingsisland
The Kings Island redemption visit! On Orion I didn’t take you as someone who would care about the 91.44 meter club but you seemed pretty keen on going out of your way to state Orion is not a Giga at every chance you got haha.
We had a great time and it was great to get back!
Love the USA flogs hope you both enjoy your selfs💜💜💜🌹🌹🌹
Thank you so much
I love KI so much!! Great coverage of the park!!
Thank you!
36:53 lol
The Beast what a coaster. Just amazing with those incredible tunnels and a bonus Beast night ride too. Great vlog TPW gang.
Brilliant night ride!
Nice park and a beautiful day!
you two are good singers
Thanks! We like to have a good laugh 😂
Thanks for joining us!
Did your opinion on Diamondback change a lot since 2019? I seem to remember you not liking it that much back then. Maybe it was the day and being tired?
It was riding great this time!
So so great that you had a great time this time! I felt bad for you last time because kings island is not like it was when you went… It’s just all the factors came together to make it a really bad day. I’m so glad you had a great time this time… I love Kings Island! It’s like Cedar Point’s scrappy little brother.
We had a great day!
Another amazing video

Wow when did you guys go I was just here from the 19th-22nd! Wish I saw you guys there!
Who remembers son of beast
Yeah I do, I rode it when it still had the loop and everything 👍
🖐️Yep. Rode with and without loop.
Yeah, rode it several times, with and without the loop. My legs had bruises to prove it!
The Beast is one of my alltime favorites.
The week before I went to carowinds the first time Orion was running so fast that I almost wanted to cancel my flight.
We had a great day!
I was not a fan of Orion at first….but then I rode it in the front. It ROCKS in the front.
So glad to see you had a better visit than you did last time! It was nice to hang out in starbucks with you on that trip though haha😂
You can't change the definition of words...Oh, wait...Yes you can...lolol
Seriously, what was Cedar Fair thinking about...? I loved when the Taft co. Owned it. Either KI would receive something new and different or a record breaker...
Cannot believe This is number 17 already
The trip seems to be going so fast!
