It's so great to see your excitement at my local amusement park. I grew up only 20 minutes from Knoebels! It's wonderful to see the park receive the recognition it deserves!
We have been going to Knoebels for over 35 years and I thoroughly enjoyed your video. Your commentary and enthusiasm from both of you really captured Knoebels. It makes me want to jump in the car and go there. Thank you for bringing this video to us. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Continued safe travels and enjoy life at these beautiful parks!
I am SO fortunate to live about 30 min from Hersheypark! I've been going since I was a kid, and the boyfriend and I often go to the park for a few hours after work in the summer since we have season passes!
Shawn and Charlotte, Being Family owned and and having home made and classic rides makes this park really feel non-commercial, here it'd not only about the money. I'm so happy you both had great weather and a really good time AND, it's only day2!!!! Cheers, Rik
This park looks great and truely special. Never having been to the US, this one appeals to me so much more than anything Six Flags has to offer. To me it even looks like I would enjoy my time there more than Sea World, Universal or the Cedar Fair parks. Ride line up is only a secondary concern to me and it's more a about how the park atmosphere feels.
Six Flags is a run by a bunch of MBA's. They are excellent at extracting value from their guests, but really crappy at creating value for their guests.
Well here is the thing where they are at now in Pennsylvania, my home. They are literally in a mecca of theme parks within decent driving distance. Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey, one of the flagship parks of Six Flags, Dorny Park, cedar fair Park ( its kinda meh ), Hersheypark. In my opinion one of the best line up of coasters in the US. All these parks are within about and hour or so drive from eachother. We have alot within this region.
Never heard of Knoebel’s before, but it’s definitely on the list now - seems like a great independent park that really takes pride in its rides and values its uniqueness.
Hello Charlotte!!! I love your enthusiasm and big smile. You and Sean have seen so much around the world. The fact that you both still get so excited for these US Parks is a true delight!!
I rode that wooden roller coaster during its last year of operation in San Antonio in 1980. I love knowing that people are still riding it and that, it is even famous now. My favorite coaster ever, since I can't do spinning and twisting rides due to the motion. Thanks for featuring it.
Thank you for sharing your experience with Knoebels! I grew up 20 minutes away and you brought back so much nostalgia for me while watching this video. Thanks for sharing it and your enthusiasm for the park!
One of my favorite things about Knoebels other than their fantastic lineup of classic coasters and the free parking/admission, they encourage you to bring your furry friends! (As long as you clean up after them and they are people and other pup friendly) I love that about this park and how you're able to bring them on the trains in the park! It's definitely a unique one-of-a-kind park who is dedicated to its historic routes and to its patrons! Can't wait to head back hopefully sometime this summer!
I’ve been going to Knoebels since I was born. I’m a little spoiled living about a hour away. I love that you guys are showing it off & enjoying the park!!!
Everything is always 50 times better in USA, they know how to make everything bigger, bolder and better! 🇺🇸 wish the uk would follow in there footsteps
Absolute perfect example to any park why it is so important to allow POVs to established Theme pqrk channels. Its makes it 100x more enjoyable and 1000x more watchable. Nothing duller than listening to someone explain how good the ride was with no pov. Watch qnd learn Merlin!!!!
Oh Charlotte had me in stitches when you both went on the Phoenix ride as her face looked so shocked of how fast it was going, I couldn’t stop laughing. Good old Charlotte ♥️♥️
This looks like a park I really want to get to now. I love these smaller parks with old school perks and a great feel to it. It kind of reminds me of when I went to Holiday World last year which has free parking and free soda. This takes it even further with free admission and located literally right in the middle of a neighborhood.
Hi shawn and Charlotte Wow what a beautiful park. I remember when you came last time shawn. Love the heritage of the park it's lovely to see. Thanks for sharing this wonderful Park with us. I'm so pleased Charlotte enjoyed it as well. Love to you both as always Tracey 💕 xxxx
If you guys missed the Bumper Cars, you need to make sure you try them out next time. They're old-fashioned cars that really slide around--always leaves a smile on your face!
Fun fact, the reason why you have to pay extra for the haunted mansion is so that kids won’t get bored, climb out of the cars and vandalize the attraction. That’s why unlike so many other classic dark rides around the US there’s no chicken wire.
What a wonderful looking park this is. That indoor caterpillar ride took me right back to childhood fairground trips. Love the look of everything about this place. Your vlogs always give us trip inspiration and ideas. Knoebells is firmly added to the list.
The Phoenix was my childhood coaster back in its original location in San Antonio in the 1970s. I first rode it on my 6th birthday before the days of height restrictions. My older sister panicked thinking I was going to fly out and put her arm around me after the first airtime hill. I, on the other hand, had the time of my life and instantly became a coaster addict. I was12 when it closed, and for me its closing came to represent the end of my childhood. I've truly never ridden another coaster that comes close to it.
lovely to be watching you guys again on your trip. Have a great one. knoebels looks everything you imagine an American amusement park to be. It really does look like the perfect family day out with a really good mix.
Knoebels being described as "proper American" hit it right on the money! I live about an hour and a half from the park and unfortunately didn't get to go until my teen years! I love it so much, though, and especially enjoy bringing the kids' grandparents since it's free parking and admission. So happy you enjoyed the park so much!
I absolutely loved seeing this incredibly beautiful park. I loved all its history and heritage and the setting was spectacular. I wpuld really love to visit here one day. A wonderful place, a real gem. Thank you for taking us along. Have a great time on the rest of your trip!
I love this park. It certainly breaks the mold when it comes to amusement parks. Having P.O.V 's makes for good entertainment as we can see yours and Charlotte's expressions. Keep those vlogs coming . ❤❤
What a fantastic park , I'd even say my favourite so far ,so the rest your visiting will be judged against this one. Such a nice location and the museum was impressive , as you said all theme parks etc should have something similar . The woodies always impress me at these american parks , such vast structures and so impressive to see . Glad the food was good and fairly priced , makes a nice change to see. So far so good 👍 cant wait to see the next park 😁
i can remember back in the late '70s when the Blackpool Grand National had only handbars - we used to put our bags and rucksacks in the car with us and so our legs were bent under the seats holding them in - once when going over thr bunny hops the seat lifted up and got disjointed through to the end of the ride ...
Here is a fun fact about Twister It's modeled after the original Mr Twister here in Denver at the original Elitch Gardens. It even had a golden bolt on display from the original! We have a version of it still at present-day Elitch Gardens but much less taken care of. I definitely liked Knobles Twister better and it was a unique experience riding this after growing up on Twister II
Love to see you two enjoy the parks and the big USA trip .Love to see the flogs of the amazing Coasters and Parks ....Enjoy youre trip like I enjoy your movies and info ....greetings from Holland
Looks like such a nice park and it has some awsome coasters. Its great to see a park that cares so much about their history and showcase it at the park.
Im 47 & live in Delaware. We had a cabin near here in the family when i was growing up. Now my kids grew up here. Our daughter's are 25 & 26..but our son is 9 yrs old & has been here twice a year since he was born. My parent's take him & they stay at the camp ground in a cabin. Or what Knoebels calls a cabin 😂😂😂. This brought me back. We would get a bracelet to ride all we could & we'd go from i think like afternoon til evening. The only place we could roam around & meet up w our family & nothing bad happened. Not sure w the way of the world if that's possible anymore. We'd have to meet up every hour just to make sure we were ok! Phoenix was my favorite ❤ The food was delicious! Pierogies..Fries & Ice Cream were our faves. We are going to take our Grandson who will be 6 next year. Great video. I subscribed. Can't wait to see your adventures ❤
Loving this trip already & only 2 days in. Thanks for an awesome vlog with all the povs. Absolutely loved twister looking epic. Can’t wait for the next one. Be safe much love Lisa❤
You'll never beat your 2019 pov of phoenix when that guy stood up going down the first drop. Has to be one of my most rewatched theme park worldwide moments, comedy gold 😆
Yes, Knoebels is an awesome retirement home for classic, vintage and rare amusement park rides, many which are "Best in The Country". A Rock-O-Plane and a flying coaster (Kennywood Kangaroo like) flat ride are rumored to be in storage waiting to be resurrected in the future.
One of the craziest rides I have ever had on a coaster was Twister at night in the pitch black and it was raining. The coaster was absolutely hauling. The whole ride was a blur but absolutely amazing. It speeds up a LOT in the evening. The Larson drop tower at Knoebels is really great too. They are my favorite drop tower manufacturer.
Brilliant vlog. Thank you so much. Love watching them. You must work so hard to prepare for these tours away. The history of the rides and parks makes it even more fantastic to watch.
Love love love the vlogs from the trip so far! So fun to watch you guys explore parks I've actually been to! Can't wait to follow the rest of the trip and especially the vlogs from my home park (Six Flags Great America) and my home park growing up (Adventureland in Iowa). Hope you have the best time in the US and hope the weather stays fabulous for you!
What blows my mind about the Haunted Mansion is just how simple everything is. The truck is actually just a vent cover and some lights. But it really looks like a truck is about to hit you. Same goes for the little monster in the oven. I believe his eye was made out of a football! And they brought back the skeleton mirror room after removing it a few years back. It’s in a different location now, but it’s so cool they brought back a fan favorite for the ride’s 50th anniversary. Glad you are enjoying your trip and thanks for sharing!
5 out of 5 for just pronouncing the parks name correctly 😂 thank you for the marathon of travel and park videos you are throwing at us here! so much respect! it is so much work!
52:17 The lady, going up the drop tower, “oh, sugar!” Gotta love it. Feel like, you’d only hear that in that part of the country! 😂 And she has a friendly chat with Shawn! 😂
Flying turns, Phoenix, and twister look amazing and they would be something I would want to go on if I had the chance. Can’t wait for Hershey Park tomorrow guys!
2:43 I two absolutely love the can-do attitude of the sign. Like whom needs truckloads of money to have a good time. Give me a hill, couple of two by fours and some shopping cartwheels.🤣🤣😎😎 .
As soon as I saw impulse I thought "nice bit of gerst steak"...to be told its not a gerstlauer blew my mind! Love the feel of this iconic park & Benjamin in front of you on Phoenix certainly knows how to ride a coaster! 👍 😆
Flying Turns so unique what a ride, Twister absolutely awesome for a wooden coaster and Impulse the steel coaster a great ride. Beautifully laid out park where you can come and go at will. Nice vlog.
Wauw knoebels I am surprise this is amazing park it's one of my favorite parks after watch this video ❤ greetings from Belgium pennsylvania and ofcourse shawn and charlotte for this amazing good video from Knoebels ❤❤❤
I live nearby and we really are lucky to have such a nice park...You can enter the park for free and bring your own food and picnic. Rides are a bit pricey and the weekends are very crowded but you can walk around without spending any money. Parking is free too.
The phoenix was there before the antique cars by around 5 years or so. I went to knoebles in May and the Phoenix and Twister both felt better than the year before I really like the park because it’s so laid back. I also like how they have a lot of wooden coasters,
Loved the video, got a good selection of attractions at this park, especially Flying Turns as got reminded of rollercoaster type on RCT3. Remember as a kid loving to build wooden crazy bobsleigh coasters which was fun, going down drops very quickly and round turns & upside down very fast & quick speeds. Fun that was. Think Dreamland Margate aswell other UK Amusement parks could take inspiration from USA parks? Especially on caterpillar indoors with disco lights and music playing. That would be an epic experience I think at a UK park? Blackpool especially, would love to see a wooden bobsleigh coaster in UK at some point in future? Would be a good ride addition especially at Dreamland Margate, Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Great Yarmouth if expanded might be a good idea? or maybe Southend on Sea as they could build their own one or wooden coaster? But nice vlog, really enjoyed. Look forward to next videos coming up in future. 😀👍
Great vlog! This park's been on my bucket list for some time now. Knoebels may be the closest thing to an old-school amusement park that you could get. :)
It's so great to see your excitement at my local amusement park. I grew up only 20 minutes from Knoebels! It's wonderful to see the park receive the recognition it deserves!
Charlottes face at 8:55 is brilliant!

The world needs more parks loke this. Feels like it would be a great visit even without going on the rides.
Pennsylvania has probably the best collection of amusement parks in the United States.
Same with Ohio, Florida, and California. :)
There’s some brilliant parks here!
Best independent parks in the US 100% for me Ohio still tops it with both top tier cedar fair parks within driving distance👍
I am SO fortunate to live about 30 min from Hersheypark! I've been going since I was a kid, and the boyfriend and I often go to the park for a few hours after work in the summer since we have season passes!
@FigureSkatingBeauty I live in Cortland, NY. So I still have to drive at least 3 hours if I want to go to Hersheypark.
Shawn and Charlotte,
Being Family owned and and having home made and

Those are some pretty inventive coasters. I'd say that enthusiastic guy waving his arms about on Phoenix like a maniac was enjoying himself. XD

@@souldiscovery1238 no no...I mean gerst steak! That's what I call it anyway. 😆

That bobsled ride makes me miss the Bob in Efteling. Such a fun ride!
Flying Turns so unique what a ride, Twister absolutely awesome for a wooden coaster and Impulse the steel coaster a great ride. Beautifully laid out park where you can come and go at will. Nice vlog.
I love these US parks that don't have such a higher profile as the familiar names/brands. My kind of place for sure. Adored the Fries 🍟 Hat 😂
This is gonna be an incredible series

A truly world class amusement park is Knoebles. Twister had a retrack during the close season. Best its been riding in many years I've heard.
It’s a brilliant ride
Great vlog! This park's been on my bucket list for some time now. Knoebels may be the closest thing to an old-school amusement park that you could get. :)
It’s a beautiful park
