I went last year on the last weekend of the Pleasure Beach on the Saturday night and it was heaving in fact the whole resort was actually packed. Still makes me wonder how well the Pleasure Beach would be doing on evenings with a cheaper admission. They could charge £5 to go in but give you a reloadable card in return for the admission to spend on food, drink and even load up to go on rides. They just don't quite seem to have got it right and the piers and attractions like Blackpool Christmas by the Sea are mopping up all the money that Pleasure Beach used to take. The Mellor's Group has an excellent system in place at Fantasy Island and Pleasure Beach Resort could easily adapt to something similar with pay to ride or wristband options and still charge the loadable card entry. I hate seeing the park close early during holidays and on weekends when things could be so different.
The rides must be 3 times colder when you are higher up and spinning around. How do you guys handle the coldddddddddddd, I would be wearing a ski mask on my face hehehe
Christmas by the sea actually started in the town centre in St Johns Square outside the Winter Gardens. They couldn't fit the Star Flyer in there so they moved it to the Festival Headland and it expanded from there but I do think they should have a Ferris Wheel and stalls outside the Winter Gardens as expansion as there nothing in that space now.
Bit expensive for that child ride but saying that, I ❤ Blackpooland so glad something in North West near the sea, I'll always come here, its keeping memories al8ve yet evolving. And by the sea!! We just need some sort of adult type coaster and boom!
