It is indeed impressive. I have emetophobia (phobia of vomiting) and anytime I go to a theme park, I keep my eating pretty light until the end of the day, because even though I know I don’t get sick on rides and never have in my life, my brain doesn’t trust it. Heat and hunger is not a fun combination.
I cannot expres how much I appreciate that you put in POV’s in this vlog. That must take a lot of time and effort, but don’t think it’s going unnoticed. Thank you.
I purposely paused the video so I could come comment the very same thing how much I appreciate that you are putting in the povs that you can't film yourself. I hope you're able to do that for every park that doesn't allow you to film as nearly all of them publish povs for their own rides. It is absolutely wonderful to not have to stop your videos to go find a POV and then come back. Again cheers to you thanks a lot. Oh and kudos to you for having chocolate cake and french fries for lunch LOL also I have to add I love it when anybody from the UK says "exterminate" because they can't seem to help themselves saying it like a Dalek from Doctor Who!
Not all parks provide an official POV of their rides though which is what those are, pretty sure Shawn would have included them on all the videos for this trip so far if they’d been available.
I personally don't like it; I think it ruins the pacing, plus it feels awkward switching to a different video quality / framerate and back again. I know I'm in the minority, though.
@@ThemeParkOgre that part did throw me a little but I overall do appreciate it more than not. It is a little weird that we're not hearing his exuberance during a POV slotted in the middle that he didn't film, but I often stop the video and go watch a POV elsewhere if he is unable to film one. That to me is more disrupting but it feels weird not having it in there. It is an interesting experiment and I appreciate the time he took to do it as I'm certain the additional editing time must be difficult especially on a Marathon road trip like this. I think all opinions are valid and you may not actually be in the minority for the exact same reason that you stated. I personally do hope he continues them through this trip when possible and I respect you for stating your opinion especially if it seems it was in the minority as that takes some confidence. Funny enough the one that I felt was jarring but also the most interesting was the one for the indoor spinning Mouse coaster. The Exterminator. I love how when he said it was like he was speaking as a Dalek LOL. The split POV was unexpected but glad we got to see it as a riders experience on the left and illuminated on the right. It's not something that Shawn would have been likely able to do, so that in itself is an enhancement even if a little jarring.
Absolutely love that you included the park POV's since so many of our American parks no longer allow filming on-ride. It adds that extra something special to already amazing vlogs.
Shawn, your commentery, stats and info, with regard to every attraction you experience is phenomenal. You are a Theme Park Oracle. As is your Lifelong, Park Enthusiast, Companion and Partner. Charlotte needs acknowledgement regarding your feedback. It's just great that you can do it together. Treasure every moment. And thank you for sharing your experiences. Keep it it coming. Enjoy the beautiful weather! Lots of love. X
Kudos to Kennywood for providing POVs! That's a huge plus to the videos. Ishould think more parks would do this, since they already have those for promotion.
I really love that you have added ride POVs to the rides that you aren't allowed to film on for this series, as I often finding myself watching your videos and then pausing to go and search for a POV. Nice work! And as always your incredible commitment to getting videos up quickly is so impressive and appreciated!
I really appreciate you, Shawn. Thank you for all the hard work editing, adding the park's POV on ride footage! Hope you guys are having an amazing trip so far! ✌&❤
I'm glad you enjoyed my home park! I grew up in the neighborhood just outside of the parking lot. There have been a lot of changes there since I left in 1974.
Me and my dad have watched this channel for 4 years! Absolute mint vids. We love our rides and this yt channel encourages us to go to more places such as thee funny world vlog! That was absolute crazy and fascinating place which I wanna vist in future.
Wahaaaaaaaayyyy….aaayyyyyyyy… great videos as usual and Charlottes commentary is really balancing it all well. 👍 Remember… don’t forget Beacholme Cleethorpes… and the amazing Fishing Heritage Centre in Grimsby… they have a complete street with houses recreated from 1940’s Grimsby including an old pub and a complete genuine Trawler tour!! 👍👍
Phantom’s Revenge looks a great ride loads of airtime and a bold statement from Charlotte her favourite coaster so far of the trip. Steel Curtain really dominates the skyline and what a ride also. Great vlog guys.
Loving the vlogs so far! Pittsburgh is the closest major city, and Kennywood is the closest large amusement park to me. It really is great. It makes me happy to see yinz hitting the good parks in my home state. Can't wait to see what you thought of Waldameer!
I am loving following your american adventures! Brilliant vlogs. Thank you for including the park povs where you can as it really helps to see what the coaster is like!
I know what you mean now when comparing Kennywood to BPB, very similar with the woodies and Noahs Ark. Fair play to Charlotte for keeping up with your relentless pace. Big Congrats re 350k!! 🎉
I grew up across the Mon River and would go to Kennywood many times each year. Still remember Laugh in the Dark as a wee lad, some of the best rides Ghost Ship & Le Cachot are long gone. Never got to ride the Pipin which morphed into the Thunderbolt. The acrobatic shows that would happen at 9:30PM was awesome! Many memories.
I dont know how you guys have managed it, I watch ALL your videos and they always brighten my evenings. Im going through a personal crisis currently suffering from psychosis and am in and out of mental health facilities so to have these videos to watch brings much needed happiness into my life. What I meant when i said i dont know how you guys managed it was how you've been able to get official POV's from the park and include them when otherwise you would not be allowed to film on ride, however you managed that - i salute you. Thanks both of you for making my days better and helping my recovery seeing that there IS good life out there to be had. Dan Farrell
What an awesome vlog guys thank you again. I’m living vicariously through you & im so excited now bout my upcoming trip next year you truly are the best out there for your coverage of theme parks & I’m so glad you get to do it together 😊😊. Can’t wait for next one much love guys ❤ Lisa your Aussie fan ❤❤❤❤ be safe on the road ❤
If you ever do a trip to the US, do an east coast trip like this because there are so many parks densely packed into a "small" area (small for the US anyway)
I have to say, and i thought this after your previous Kennywood vlog, that this is a great looking park. As you say, well cared for attractions, good variety, very fun thrill rides that don't just plain scare you -- they offer thrills rather than fear, which adds up to a really fun looking park. This is a place i would never have heard about, were it not for TPWW, but it is a real bucket list kind of park, based on the ride offerings, the scenery, and the atmosphere.
Hi shawn and Charlotte what a great Park. Really appreciate how you put the official pov's into the vlog. They used to have Kenny wood kangaroo ride at the fun fairs here in the UK. I used to love riding the them . Really enjoying the USA trip so far . Thanks for sharing with us . Love to you both as always Tracey 💕 xxxx PS Congratulations on the 350k 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Loving the vlogs from your American trip, so entertaining, informative and you two are so fabulous. A huge congratulations on reaching 350K subs, well deserved and I look forward to reaching the 500K, which I think won't be too long. Keep up the superb work and you'll always have me as a huge fan and subscriber.
I wish I would’ve known you were coming to Kennywood!!!! My home park!!!! Thanks for coming to visit and shining a spotlight on our little Amusement park.
Perhaps my favorite vlog of the trip so far. I've only been there once, and that was when steel phantom was there. I remember loving the park though for all the historical rides. Jackrabbit, noahs arc, kangaroo, all were great! Loved seeing them again tonight! I must admit though, I've seen the posts on Facebook today from cedar point, really can't wait for those vlogs 😊
Love your channel. It’s great how you’re so consistent with content. I know it’s your job, but it’s a job that you love and your passion is inspiring. After a long day at work, it’s so nice to be able to wind down and watch your videos which are always super fun. Keep up the good work👍👏Much love from Cheshire🇬🇧🇬🇧
Glad you had a great day at the park guys. It looks amazing, and so want to visit some day. Thank you so much again for another amazing video guys, loving your trip so far.❤❤❤❤
Kennywood seems like a great park. I hope to go here some day. Thunderbolt and Phantom are especially appealing with how they manage to save their best tricks for last. From what I can see, that Spinvasion ride is pretty much an old school Apollo in modern guise, like what Legendia still has. Everything old becomes new again.
Another great vlog and you clearly loved this visit to Kennywood Shawn. Appreciate you intersecting the vlog with the park provided POV’s as well. And yes, I think we’ve all noticed the moustached girl at 22:43 🥸🤣🤣🤣 Also the girl on her phone whilst on The Whip at 49:34 🤷🏻♂️
We got our platinum passes. Haven’t been to kennywood in 16 years since I was a teenager and we live between kennywood and sandcastle. Can’t wait to go back and ride some of the new rides.
Woweee !! My favourite park so far. Great selection of attractions. Can see some similarities with Blackpool but much better here. The Haunted house shooting ride is what i would love to have seen at UK's Alton Towers....perhaps after missing out with the Curse house they could build this instead of the indoor coaster ? I wish they would. Super coverage. Snakes !!! Flip....reminds me of DisneyWorld Orlando with beware the Snakes and Gators signs round one of the mini golf courses ( one near Fantasia). Looks like you are having a whale of a time there.
This park looks so lovely. Totally see what you mean about about the BPB vibe. Jack Rabbit and Kennywood Racer remind me so much of Dipper and Nash. So nice that they have a lil shoutout to BPB in the station too! 😊
So glad you guys are enjoying your trip so far! Another great park, nice ode to our beloved Blackpool half way through on the woody. Can't wait for the next one guys x
I am so glad that you were able to ride Steel Curtain and enjoyed it. Just like you, we missed out in 2019 because it opened the week after we were there. We went last year but the ride was down on the day that we were there. I am hoping that my boys will be able to ride it when we go next month.
Another great vlog, aww the Kangaroo ride used to be called the ski jump when the travelling fairs came to Birmingham back in the day, the only difference was the "jump" was a complete circuit but I remember the air time well!! 😂
The Kangaroo was removed along with a paratrooper ride from its original location to make way for something new. Originally they weren’t going to return it but fans rallied behind it so they brought it back in a new location.
Actually it's a great idea to have 2 tracks side by side on Racer. That must increase the capacity enormously! 🥰 The queue is never standing still! ❤❤❤
Just saw that old ride "Kenny the Kangaroo", I think there used to be one on Clacton Pier years ago.I remember riding it as a kid. I absolutely loved that ride and you said that is the only example of one left in the world. I would go to Kennywood just to ride it. Superb. They don't make them like that anymore.
Brilliant again guys! I was going to ask about putting in the Official POVs were possible really does add to the vlog but it is obviously better when they allow you to do it! Seen that El Torro is testing you may get it yet depending on when SF decide to open it
I saw you guys mention the lack of food variety. During the day you visited and through July, they’re doing the Bites and Pints Festival. It’s kinda like what Busch Gardens does, where there are stands that offer foods from different countries, you purchase taste cards and eat as many samples as you want until it is out. Much higher quality than the food already offered at the normal stands, but I do think one or two more unique options would round it all out better.
Can't wait for the Cedar Point video! I absolutely love Cedar Point! We were there in October last year and my oldest son was finally tall enough to ride the big coasters. He wouldn't ride any that go upside-down but he rode the Millennium Force 3 times! My youngest can't wait til he tall enough to ride them!
What’s impressive is how Shawn vlogs and rides coasters all day fuelled by only chips and a piece of chocolate cake.
Kennywood was spared the wrath of a dry hot dog fueled Shawn!
The cake was so good!
I only had a five hour day here because of the rain, but I loved this park.
It’s the Cooplands “ cheese sticks” that make the difference…👍
I cannot expres how much I appreciate that you put in POV’s in this vlog. That must take a lot of time and effort, but don’t think it’s going unnoticed. Thank you.
I agree it's nice to have povs
I appreciate that!
I love that you put POVs in for coasters you can't film on! Hope this is something that sticks around in the vlogs as the POVs really make the video!
Agreed
I purposely paused the video so I could come comment the very same thing how much I appreciate that you are putting in the povs that you can't film yourself. I hope you're able to do that for every park that doesn't allow you to film as nearly all of them publish povs for their own rides. It is smart that Kennywood offers a press kit with POVs! You did well integrating them in!
Thank you!
Glad you guys enjoyed my home park. Kennywood is very special to those of us from Pittsburgh!
Thank you Shawn and Charlotte! You guys have put such a huge smile on my face today. I'm so glad you enjoyed my home park Kennywood so much!
That’s wonderful to hear!
Absolutely love that you included the park POV's since so many of our American parks no longer allow filming on-ride. It adds that extra something special to already amazing vlogs.

Thank you!
great vlog and thank you for putting in the pov's for us to see

Sandstorm playing on Steel Curtain was by far the highlight of my day
Brilliant tune
It's nice that kennywood have done there own POV's as you can still be part of the rides
Many thanks for cutting in the official POVs, much enjoyed!
Thanks for watching!

Thanks for watching!
I went here last year and it was the best theme park I have ever been to!highly recommend
Love that you enjoyed my childhood park in Kennywood, and my current local park of Hesheypark. Your videos are a joy!
POV for when parks don’t allow. Nice. Great idea guys. Well done.
Loving this USA trip so far. Hope theres more pov's to come!

Thank you. We’re only just getting started with this epic trip 🤩
I've always loved the lights there.
Thanks for the vlog! I did a northeast tour a couple years ago and Kennywood was my favorite of all the parks!
It’s a beautiful park
I love the sound of wooden roller coasters both on and off ride they sound amazing.
They are awesome!
Kennywood has always looked like such a charming park to me, really looks brilliant, loving this trip so far, phantom’s revenge looks outstanding!
It’s such a great park!

We had such a great time!
I love Kennywood! I worked there during the summers while I was at University of Pittsburgh.
This US tour’s brilliant, great to see the variety of parks away from the usual Disney/ universal/ seaworld offering
Thank you. There’s so much out there to discover!
Ghostwood Estate is a underrated ride imo.
love the vlogs today at Kennywood can not wait for the next one
U really should stay here in the USA since u love the parks over here

Ooh I am a big fan of Kennywood and I am so excited there is a lot of wooden coasters in the USA it fits the USA vibe
Kennywood is brilliant!
Front row on Thunderbolt will give you a crazy pop out of your seat when you hit the lift till.
The kangaroo ride, there was one on the travelling fair called ski jump, not sure if still operating
Nice to see that Kennywood is in such good condition. when I was there in 1999 the park was quite run down.
Love the povs that u put in most times when. U can’t do on ride
Looks a lovely park with some great classics. Hope to visit one day.

1. Phantoms Revenge
2. Thunderbolt
3. Racer

It’s a brilliant ride and very heavily themed

These vlogs are really a great way to start my day!

He wouldn't ride any that go upside-down but he rode the Millennium Force 3 times! My youngest can't wait til he tall enough to ride them!
They’ll be on the way very soon!
Perfect timing
Love the pov you used on all rollercoasters. Another awesome vlog. 😁😁😃😀😃😄😁😄😃
