I do love Carowinds. Of the three home parks (not including Fun Spot Atlanta) of mine -- Carowinds, Six Flags Over Georgia, and Dollywood, Carowinds is my favorite. To be repetitive here -- I am one of the minority as well who really likes Nighthawk. I'm glad that you and your brother agree that it's a really good coaster. Thunderstriker is always a good time, especially when the trims are taking a nap. Another coaster like Nighthawk that gets too much unnecessary hate. Fury is priceless -- such a perfect coaster. Currently, my most-ridden coaster and my 5th favorite. Front row rides on Fury are phenomenal -- I feel like I'm sitting on the nose of a passenger jet. It's one of the few coasters that I find to have such vastly different ride experiences in the front and back rows. I love the back row for the incredible floater air time that you don't get as heavily in the front. And then, I love the front row for the insane speed and power that you won't experience as much in the back. For these reasons, I love the front and back rows equally, where I tend to prefer either the front or back row on the majority of coasters I ride. Copperhead Strike is such a fun ride for so many reasons. And Afterburn, to be repetitive again, is one of my favorite B&M inverts, and honestly, one of my favorite coasters. I don't know, it may be tied with Fury as my most ridden coaster. The batwing and the corkscrew are two of the most aggressive inversions on any coaster I've ever experienced. For me, Afterburn is a perfect coaster. I can't find one thing lacking in its layout. Enjoy your time hiking in my "homeland" with your family. I've lived most of my life in Asheville, NC -- so the mountains of western North Carolina are very familiar to me.
I just got back from this park. They have a fantastic coaster lineup with a GOATed top 4 and sleeper supporting coasters. A ton of the supporting cast have bad reputations but Nighthawk, Vortex, Gold Rusher, and Hurler are actually very good rides.
Couldn't agree more! I don't understand all the hate for Vortex specifically. I just squat slightly until the saddle is locked in, then I stand up straight. Smooth sailing!
The way Marc speaks about coasters and the description he supplies is second to none. I am so glad i have found this channel. What an awesome dude he is!
I was just at Carowinds a week ago! We drove there from asheville in the morning which took a couple of hours, so we got to the park around 12, got 4 rides on Fury, and then the park basically shut down due to thunderstorms in the area LOL. We got a nanocoaster of Fury, left to get some lunch, and then it started to look like the rain was clearing up. We headed back into the park around 7pm and were able to get on nighthawk, (which I also think is EXTREMELY underrated), Copperhead, Afterburn, Intimidator, and we ended the night on 2 night rides on Fury! Man that ride is so good. Overall its my #2 behind Velocicoaster, but Fury in the front at night was the best single ride I've ever had. Glad to hear you had an awesome day!
I absolutely love your brother. I think he’s precious. Your mama seems like a sweetheart. My mom used to ride with me back in the day. Sooo many pics of us on rides like flight of fear, KI, the Beast, King Cobra, SOB. She’s 68 now and not able to. She hasn’t rode coasters since 2002. She’s never gotten to see these hyper/giga coasters in person. It’s a sight to behold in person. For real!!!!!!! She even rode the drop tower with me bf at KI. I told her, these new coasters are so smooth. We came the year Vortex opened in 87 and in 2002. But hasn’t seen anything since. I do believe tho, she wud ride them with me if she was able. She wud love them. It’s so awesome that you get to ride big ass rollercoasters with your mom and brother. I’m an only child. So 🤦🏼♀️ great video.
I totally agree about Nighthawk being underrated. First coaster I rode at Carowinds (and first one I rode in years) and it terrified me, but it's such a good ride. Ride it every time I go to Carowinds.
Oh man, Marc! Hearing your Mom and Sean's laughter was SO SO SO infectious and great to hear!! NO grey out moments on Fury? It was weird to not see the 'Gurlzzz' with you. I would kill for your guys hair! I am going to the park for my 1st time at 63 in the beginning of October! Cannot wait! Richard
I really love seeing you go on all these trips and going to all these places to try out different coasters! I just love going on roller coasters! I’m going back to Canada’s Wonderland next month for the 14th time! I went a few times as a kid and Canada’s Wonderland is actually my home park! I live in Canada!
I mean, CP is my home park, and I think it might be a little over hyped. Maybe it's because I'm there so much, but there is a lot they could do differently/better. Like I said though, maybe it's the 50 plus times I'm there every year. Honestly, last year, of the Cedar Fair parks, we had the best time at Kings Dominion between CP, KI, Carowinds, and KD.
Im so glad im not the only one who loves nighthawk. I went in 2022 in march and thought that was the best coaster there. Fury was underwhelming. I thought the treble clef was the only thing that was different from other gigas. Also the helix was boring and maybe it was running slow that day. Copperhead was ok but the restraints dont allow for good airtime. Afterburn was great and intimidator was good.
I live in NC. Been going to Carowinds since it first opened. It has changed so much. Looking Forward to your Dollywood visit, we are going there in November . Yeah !
love the vids marc! hopefully can get to these parks one day….. fury and copperhead look insane! ❤ much love! Also your mom was so funny in this video 😂 also sean is a welcome sight! i’m enjoying the hairstyle:)
This park looks amazing and wow your mom is a champion for riding Fury 325 not once, but twice! ショーン, お久しぶりです!or 오랜만이에요!in 韓国語. Great to hear your iconic scream/laugh again 笑😂👍🏻 マーク、いつもお疲れ👏🏻🎢
Nighthawk has a good double loop but it’s issue is the corkscrew. I ride it once; in the back row. Perhaps I should have ridden it in row 4 instead. Intimidator aka Lighting Striker is best in the back car. I rode Fury 325 97 times in the three days and four hours I was there in mid April 2023. I like it best in the front left and is my favourite coaster I’ve ridden after Steel Vengeance in the back car. I like Copperhead Strike best in car 3 rows 5 and 6) and I like Afterburn best in the back left seat; (since the right side gives me headbangs) Love the park, Thanks for posting!
Fort Mills and Kings Mills are very similar to coaster enthusiasts. Fury 325 is my favourite coaster I’ve ridden after Steel Vengeance. I rode it 97 times in the 3 days and 4 hours of a fourth day I was there in mid April 2023 where I met Brandon of Theme Park Recommendations and El Toro Ryan at Copperhead Strike.
Ha!!! I was there that weekend, and got a bunch of rides on Fury, and met Brandon, and El Toro Ryan at Intimidator that morning! We were there with some friends in our Kings Island group. Had a blast, but we actually stayed too long. I could have used another day at KD, and not go to KD, and Carowinds a week before Kings Island opening weekend. That was a long 12 days away from home.
Bruh....F 9th grade lol my last day was that day but man imagine tho one day I meet you at knotts or magic mountain one day randomly in your vlog that'd be insane!
@8:00 i look at these out and back hypers like this and the hyper at canadas wonderland and i just reeally appreciate raging bull. Mako, candy and nitro and diamondback seem so similar to these that I just mentioned but theres somethung about these out and backs. Where after the first 4 elements you are just getting the lesser version of what you already experienced. Fury on the other hand 🔥
Lovely vid. Get well Mama Dash, I've had that experience after one too many rides on Cedar Point's MaxAir. If you ar 21 or above reading this anyone, avoid Long Island Ice Tea at all costs the night before (not just for amusement parks, but in general, it's literally terrorism in a glass - AVOID) I LOVE Carowinds Afterburn and their new Aviation/Steampunk area - North Carolina is Aviation Baby! The Wright Brothers (even though thy got Dayton Ties as well). It's cool they show local flavor for their park. Respect.
See, I rode ThunderHawk several years ago and I liked it EXCEPT for the section when you went through the loop on your back. I'm not a big fan of inversions anymore, because these days there are so many on one ride...but I did not like the forces or the way it felt on my back!!
About Nighthawk.... that is one confusing as hell phenomenon.... 1/2 the people are like... OMG I Love that ride... it's so smooth.... the other 1/2 total opposite! Me personally I've ridden it and I thought it was so fun and not rough! But it's like over the years every other comment is the opposite of the other... so weird
Firehawk was actually better. It was a longer layout, and had a dual load station. I rode it when it was X-Flight at Geauga Lake. I really miss that coaster.

I love that your mom knows what airtime is 😂
as someone been going to Canada's Wonderland all his life (since 1987), this is the park ive dream of going to, the rides here are different level.
I am extremely shocked to see how dead the park is. Outstanding All Around
If you think Cedar Point is over hyped then nothing will live up to your standards.
Tbf, I think Marc is in the unique position of having visited so many parks around the world now that he can have that opinion.

Night rides when the sky is clear are amazing on Nighthawk. I love it.

Dang I didn’t expect Canyon Blaster reference. Going out west to ride that and El Loco later this week.

Is it just me who thinks project 305 is a worse name than thunder striker?
They should just name it “Big Red Coaster” at this point
Both names suck, but at least P-305 is only a placeholder name. T-Striker just sounds like a dollar store combat-toy playset.
@@randihotlinFr
Project 305 is a placeholder name before the retheme next year.

I also found Copperhead a little sickening, although not as much as your bro and mom, or as Flying Cobras.
Bro forgot about the gold Rusher that has strep turns
I was extremely rushed at this park. Only got 2 rides on Fury
I went there and got on all of them
Falcons flight is an. exo- coaster
Thunder striker is very similar to leviathan
Idk how u think that but alr
I been to Carowinds once
I live in ky and never heard on beachbend”. Is that what you said?
Yes! Beech Bend*
Where is the tallest roller coaster in the Northeast do you know that right
Have you heard about the merger? Carowinds is owned by Six Flags now
Its owned by cedar fair and six flags

you mean owed by six flags entertainment corp! lmao ofc its legacy CF
