@@CoasterDash Always mate! Your brother's laugh/scream is soooo infectious 🤣😂 I bet he's such a fun co-pilot. I'm genuinely so excited for your extensive euro tour this summer too. 🙌
I agree-I am binging Coaster Dash videos too, and you will definitely love the Euoropean tour. Especially the park with Voltron. And don’t miss Kolmarden-actually a zoo, that has one of the best RMC coasters in the world.
The 2024 Coaster Dash park vids have been incredible. Big Bear Mountain looks beautiful and fun. Always cool seeing you and your brother enjoy coasters together. Really loved your vlog, had the chance to visit Dollywood a couple years ago after having it on my bucket list for years and it did not disappoint! I love the immersive wooded/mountainy atmosphere combined with quality coasters.
@@YaBoyFish27 Between making this comment and now, I have now ridden Hakugei and that is my #1 RMC, Iron Gwazi is #2. So now Lightning Rod is #3. Bit of a hot take but I love the setting, pacing, and night rides on this so it's still elite for me without the launch.
@@oregoncoasterenthusiast325 oh nice! I have not had the chance to go to Busch gardens Tampa but I hope to soon. I agree about lightning rod. Have you ridden arie force one? I am going to funspot Atlanta and I am so exited
Tennessee Tornado will always have a massively huge spot in my heart, it was my first looping coaster and the one that pretty much sealed the deal on me becoming an enthusiast and obsessed with coasters lol. Absolutely love this channel, keep up the great work!! Also, your poor mom losing her voice 😂😂😂 she’s a trooper! 🤙🏼
Glade to see you made it back to Dollywood.. It's always been a great park and wonderful part of my cherished family memories. Actually me my family started going way before all the new roller costers, way before they removed the Farris Wheel, Tiltawhirl, old Log Flom back in the late 90s early 2000s . Updated some rides and put in new. Back then in early 80s was called Silver Dollar city early. Dolly Parton purchase the park in 1986 and renamed it Dollywood. Since then the park has always been growing and expanding making it more awsome experience for future generations. Love the old mixing with new attractions, and thrills. One of my favorite rides would have to be the oldest ride in the park Blazing Furry open 1978 it use to have a splash down all the way up till early 2000s then it was removed cause of so much maintenance to maintain, my favorite coaster have to be Thunderhead. Lot of the time i visited the park over the years had no wait for ride line just walk right on the rides, the best time to go is thru the week spring time April, May months while school is in session, my parents didnt care if school was going on our not whenever my dad could take vacation he just let us lay out of school that week or how ever long his vacation time was a week or week n half. We went at least 2 times a year to Pigeon Forge......or in the fall months thru the week September, October months. I'm 43 now made some great memories with family at Dollywood continue to do so in the future. Hope your time and experience at Dollywood just as great and exciting in the future. Just came across your video on my recommendations thought I'd check it out. Have fun enjoy making videos peace..✌️
Definitely agree with the landscaping and overall scenery of this park, this region looks gorgeous! Vekoma really seems to have found a niche as far as making family coasters as we’ve also seen from Guardians of the Galaxy and Tron this year😃 You’d be glad to know I took one look at Tidal Wave at Ocean City and thought, “Oh that’s probably a terrible Vekoma boomerang.”😆Couldn’t help, but laugh at the randomness of Mystery Mine and the explanation of the ride makes perfect sense. Lightning Rod definitely looks to be a fun RMC as well!
Dollywood just has a random charm that it has, it’s an awesome park, Tennessee tornado I’ve seen get a massive line, I’ve seen it get a 30-60 minute waits most busy days.
I cant wait to check out Dollywood! It looks so amazing, and right down my ally for atmosphere. As for graying out, I have never. Always wondered what that'd be like. All these coaster look so tame but enjoyable. Thanks for the coverage.
Love your mom - Take her every time! Those two girls over the road trip..... felt like one was nice and another .... well I will shush! Your mom.....take her every time! Older people like rides and loved her reactions!
Great video! I think Big Bear Mountain looked really fun! Its great to hear you think a lot more of Lightning Rod now! Im really looking forward to the Beech Bend Vlog to see what you think of that park!
Although Dollywood is one of my home parks, it's been a year and a half since I've been there -- so, I haven't yet experienced Big Bear Mountain or Lightning Rod without the launch. As of my last few visits, Tennessee Tornado was my favorite coaster in the park. It's one of those coasters that I have such great appreciation for since it packs in so much intensity and great elements in such a brief amount of time. It's pretty relentless once you leave the lift hill. I've never understood either why Wild Eagle gets so much hate. Yeah, it's not on the level of GateKeeper but still it's a good coaster -- good first drop, good inversions, great use of the terrain. I loved Thunderhead before its re-tracking, so I'm really curious to experience it in its upgraded state.
Cool! One day I’ll make it to this park I hope. Looks so fun. Nice to see your brother again too!. I enjoy the girls and they bring a nice energy to the videos, but this feels more old school 😂
Ill be finally getting to Dollywood next year, God willing. It just didnt work out for us to get there, but I am setting the date in stone for next June.
I went to Dollywood for the first time last year but made the mistake of going on a Saturday in June. The park was so packed and the lines for every coaster were 45 minutes to an hour long.
Dollywood is about an hour and a half or so away from me, so I visit fairly frequently. I usually end up getting the fast pass because I don't want to stand in long lines all day.🥴😂 Wild Eagle is my favorite, just because it feels like you're flying (especially if you're in the front row.). Lightning Rod is my second favorite and I also have a very special place in my heart for Tennessee Tornado because it was the very first rollercoaster that I ever rode as a kid. Thunderhead is cool too, my scoliosis is always very thankful for the padded seats on that one, especially after a long ass day.🥴😂 Next time you visit, you should get on BarnStormer. That one and Drop Line are the only two in the whole park that get my stomach in knots.😂
As a person who’s visited Dollywood a whopping 8 times, I can confirm on a busy day Tennessee tornado can get up to a 30-50 minute wait on a very busy day.
The last time I rode Gatekeeper in 2021 (only rode Gatekeeper in this year) and thought it was rough toward the back-I forget if that last ride was in row 6 inside right or if that was the second ride I got [both first/second were on an employee ride night because, remember, the chain lift broke). Regardless, that last ride made me think the ride was a little rough. Haven't ridden the other two wing I rode (did go to Cedar Point that year, but not for very long), but I would put Wild Eagle and Thunderbird above Gatekeeper simply because they were smooth and good scenery (and all the barns on Thunderbird are nice. More a Mountain person than a water/beach person)
I went to Dollywood earlier this year and got on nothing, partly because I couldn’t fit on most test seats. At least I more recently rode Shivering Timbers.
Hey I love your guys videos but some advice would be when you are doing a camera clip where it is pointing at you, you should show some enthusiasm and do some hand movements to hype up the ride your talking about. Look at the Tennessee tornado clip after you said it was an awesome coaster but you just stared at the camera and just talked like a robot. Yet again just some advice, love your videos!❤️❤️❤️
What is the best way and the nearest city (to fly to) to get to Dollywood? I want to visit this park (and Silver Dollar City) one day, but they're kind in the middle of nowhere and difficult to reach (I don't live in the US).
It's too bad about your food operations experience. Most of the time Dollywood does very well with both quality of food and throughput. It's my second favorite park for food just ahead of SDC and behind EPCOT. And frankly I think the average food at Dollywood is better than average at EPCOT. It's just that EPCOT's better food is basically untouchable in the theme park world.
