This place rules . Well done going all in with the outfit
Woo! Been following you and Bagger for years, thanks for the journeys!
Absolutely love watching both of your channels!
Adam, add it to your list of stops next time you do a road trip :) i need to see 80s adams outfit
Thanks man! Had to go full 80s!
Lol You both need a 80's style reunion!! Would love to see your get up Adam!?!?
The 80's was the best decade to live in.
I was born in 62, so I've seen/experienced alot of decades, and I must say the 80s were indeed thee best & most fun decade of all!
Amen!!! The absolute best.
You guys are lucky... I was in born in 99 😞
Absolutely! I was born early seventies but the eighties were Amazing ♥️♥️♥️
90s kid here but I fondly remember the 80s carryover culture
This is the best thumbnail ever in the history of carpetbaggers
Yes! I agree 100%!
Agree!!
I was born in 1975 but I have no memory of the 70s, so the 80s was the decade of my childhood. The 80s were a great time to be a kid -- there were colorful, fun fashions; lots of cool toys (as a child, I was into, at various stages, Care Bears, My Little Ponies, Smurfs, Strawberry Shortcakes and Rainbow Brite), McDonald's was much cooler for kids, and it seemed to be a much safer time as well -- people didn't worry about mass shootings in public places like they do today. I remember some of the unique fashions of the decade -- crimped hair (I still have my crimping iron someplace, though I'm not sure if it still works), denim jackets and stonewashed jeans, charm necklaces, scrunchies (though they always slid right out of my hair because I have very fine hair), and leg warmers over jeans, among other things. It was just a really great decade!
The outside of that building sure looks like an old blockbuster
I've been to the Dells. They never had a Blockbuster.
It was a old souvenir shop that went out of business last year
Nope a business that was there for 42 yrs shut down in February. It was one of my favorite places there.
They seemed to focus on only one aspect of the 80s. There was actually more than neon colors.
@@rrpostalagain it's made for peeps who were not born in the 80s. Just those who romanticize about it.
PONTIAC FIERO - they were fire traps, literally. A very 80s car that I think was designed in conjunction with Ferrari. Iconic for sure.
WE HAVE A WINNER!!!
You got it! Those are the poor man's Porsches. Rated high in some "worst car ever" lists.
No connection to Ferrari at all. Only the 1984 model year had a fire issue due to a number of issues caused primarily from not having enough oil in the crank case and from poor quality rods. From 1985 on, they were pretty much fine, as were the 84s once the recall issues were taken care of on the vehicle.
@@porcelainthunder2213 odd I remember them being a FIRE TRAP right up there with the Ford Pinto!!!
When I was a kid I used to think they were cool looking cars. My friend got an '86 Fiero when we graduated in '98 and it was unpleasant to ride in, had a tiny trunk and one of the headlights was stuck in the up position- we called it Winky. I lost my favorable opinion of the Fiero at that point.
The cars are Pontiac Fieros. From the 1980s. 😉😁
Appropriately named, as I remember seeing news reports of some of them overheating and bursting into fire.
My Aunt still has one that she bought new. It’s probably the cleanest Fiero I’ve ever seen. All garage kept.
I watch somebody on RUclips who restored one in his garage. Check it once in a while. ruclips.net/p/PL7MvJcb2I6mYLHlI7eyPZ9JHE2Znstm0y
I had a silver Fiero that I drove for a year or so in the 80’s. At the time, we didn’t know the fire issue. I had a great time driving that car. 😀
Fieros* '80s* Why do people insist on using apostrophes to make plurals? That's not what they're for. :-P
This is the funniest video Jacob has ever made. When he revealed his 80’s outfit I spit out my water haha
LOL I had to rewind because i was laughing so hard i couldnt hear what he said... CRYING LMAO
'80s, not 80's.
@@englishatheart , All forms are acceptable: 80s, 80's or '80s. The former is probably most widespread nowadays, and an initial apostrophe is hardly necessary in most cases. The 80's with an apostrophe is now rather old fashioned, though perhaps still useful in handwriting so that the "s" cannot be confused with a "5", for example.
I was a tween/ teen then. Leg warmers were huge. Big poufy hair. Preppy look - polo shirts, a sweater draped over your shoulders. Also Don Johnsons style - I wore the brightly ice-cream colored blazers with the tank top underneath.
I was a kid in the 1980’s and the fashion of the actual 1980’s was nothing like people think the fashion of the 1980’s was.
And they better have a bunch of Swatch watches in that fashion shop.
1 can of Aquanet isn’t going to cut it that’s for sure.
It's 1980s. Apostrophes aren't used to make plurals.
@@englishatheart Looks like my failing of English class wasn’t a fluke.
Lol, I was in my 20s in the 80s, I must have had literally over a dozen swatch watches. My favorite was a mirrored swatch..

I need an 80's Carperbagger action figure!
It's '80s, not 80's. No hate meant, just letting you know.

Or enamel pin
Hawaii Five-O had the "book em Danno" catch phrase.
I was a teen in the 80s, there was a huge amount of totally different weird stuff. That yellow box in the beginning was a Caboodle, a must have for all your make-up and hair assesories needs. Don't forget ET, and the introduction of Reeses Pieces.
Were Reeses Pieces seen as a new age thing? Or were they just another 'oh look more candy' thing?
@@FDSixtyNine oh look new candy thing, hope that answers your question
@@FDSixtyNine they were featured in ET . New on the market at the time. Smart way to advertise them .
@@vickiechandler3112 And Mars (the owners of M&Ms) biggest mistake not allowing the product placement
@@vickiechandler3112 they were not new on the market. They originated in the 70s.
I do in fact remember the “floating head” at Sears Portrait Studio, I actually managed one in Wichita Falls, Tx in the 90’s ! 🤣
Will Farrel has a good one on Google. That's what I think of when I think of the floating head. Not sure what I remember it being from or if it's real but lol
It takes some people years to perfect their look and style Jacob, but you have as they say nailed it with this look, well done, you’ll be the envy of all vloggers 🤗, funny vlog, extremely funny vlog 🤣
LOL, loved the part when you spotted the Mario head, and went back to give it 110% with the level 1 scene.
the trick to a rubiks cube:
understand that every _center_ panel cannot shuffle or change, therefore they are your _guides_ to target. so you are only moving a snakelike line of blocks around edges/corners. the nearer you are too solving, the more it is about preparing for the damage one move will make before making that move
I solved it once in less then a minute by picturing a 4D cube and seeing all possible moves. I have never figured out how I did that since.
The spaceman could possibly represent MTV.
Very nice they offer clothing to match that decade. On a sunny day you could directly join the Blues Brothers in that outfit, and step in on any aerobics show. Memories!
I have laughed my butt off this morning!!! That exhausted look out of the Mario mask-priceless!!! This was fun and nostalgic!
Those cars at the beginning are Pontiac Fieros. A American Mid engined sports car from the 1980s.
I don't know much about cars.. But Jacob said it's a good way to change the oil.. Um,.. Isn't that done in the hood, and not under the car? :')
This is by far my new FAVORITE Carpetbagger episode!!! KINGTASTIC!!! 🤣👑👍🏻
This is such a cool concept!! I love this!
Caboodles make up case. I was a teenager in 1985! Boy! Does that take me back! Thanks for sharing Jacob!
Cripes! As if seeing my old toys in antique shops didn't make me feel old enough, now the 80's warrent a museum.😭
My mother used Aqua Net Hair spray her whole life! We used to call it "Helmet in a can" because her hair didn't move for days after she applied it to the same hairstyle she'd had since 1970!🤣
🤣😂🤣 The floating head portrait I'd forgotten about that. Tacky!!!! Had a good laugh with your 80's look and the Mario mask. Tks
The cars are Pontiac Fieros. My mom had one.. caught on fire in 1986. Wiring trouble, and recalled that year. Mom's caught on fire on Thanksgiving that year...yeah, fun times. Your videos rock. Keep it up Jacob. Very fun.
You in the Mario mask is one of the best and funniest things I've ever seen on RUclips. Especially the little jump! Thanks for another awesome video.
Pontac fearo
we went there for the icecream
pontac fiero
I was born in '73, so the 80s was totally my decade.
Awesome Like TOTALLY. Was a teenager in the 80's. This was a walk down memory lane. We had MTV 24/7 with actual music video's day and night. Loved the outfit and your enthusiasm. Rad. Now teenagers of the eighties never missed an episode of Miami Vice. That was cool to see that area and the Neon colored clothes and accessories. I loved my jelly sandles and big hair thanks to loads of Aqua Net. What a wonderful place. Thanks for sharing. Peace and stay well and safe. 👍👍👍🥰😊🙋♀️😎🚘
Same here - this was a fun walk down memory lane. I was a teen in the 80's as well.
' Book em Danno' is Hawaii Five O... Nice Dutch Sweatband btw 🇱🇺
This just made my day 💕😂 best video ever. Thank you Jacob. I was a 80, s girl in my days and this just took me back
I graduated from High school in 1980 so I know of and remember a lot of them.
Space Camp was very popular in the 80's. Never went but know friends that did and it always seemed to be a prize on Double Dare.
and the movie...dont forget that..
Oh for goodness' sake, it's written as '80s, not 80's. :-P The fact that this business made that mistake on their sign makes me weep that someone got paid to do that.
@@englishatheart does that really matter in the grand scheme of life ? LOL
Wait, never saw Miami Vice? Dang I'm old, it was a never miss on Friday nights.
Even if I'm having a really bad day, your videos always put a smile on my face. Thanks for being a great dude, Carpetbagger :)
LOVE THE VIDEO!!!! Thanks for letting us know about this amazing place!!! I definitely need to check it out!
Hawaii 5-0 "book 'em Danno". Great video Jacob! Loved your style especially the fish shoes/sandals.! Made my evening!
Born in '76, so I lived through the 80's. I would absolutely love this place.
Awesome video as always! Love when you make these kinds of videos.
Another amazing video from the incredible carpet bagger this one is in the bag.
Omg this made my day, I just love Jacob video's. He always interact with everything😁

@@englishatheart you knew what she meant
Love Love LOVED this one!! So fun, your outfit was perfect and you seemed to truly enjoy each photo op!!
Space things that happen in the 80’s:
the Challenger.
I watched explode live on tv with my classmates in elementary school.
i was in my 30's in the 1980's. some things here are pretty accurate. but there was so much more. happier life than now in the world.
We had troubles then, Iran hostage situation, murder of John Lennon, shooting of President Regan and Jim Brady, the Challenger explosion, the drug cartels moving into Fl., cocain then crack, stockmarket scams, many drug overdoses in music and movie stars.
Please stop using apostrophes to make plurals. That's not what they're for. It's 30s and 1980s. I truly mean no hate when I correct someone, it's just that the written language is extremely important to me and I think it's important that people use it correctly.

@UwU Da Fluffalo 🪓🐇 AGREED! Every video there is a comment from this grammar queen , stop bullying and get a life!
@@anneargo-davies692 i'm not american, like most people, so those things were irrelevant to me
The hover board was from Back to the Future 2. The shirt you had on was from Fresh Prince of Bel Air. The thing I remember is the Challenge accident.
Loved this video. So entertaining! So much nostalgia for me.
You are such a GREAT SPORT!!!!! I can see that what your doing is done with great passion. Great video. Blessings you you and your family🙏🏼
Phone booths were land lines they did not have reception they had dial tone
Looks like a fun place. I turned 12 in 1989 but as an 80s nostalgia nerd I would go crazy in a place like that. Thanks for sharing it with us.
“Hey guys! I’m in the 80’s!” Lol
Being a car nerd, it’s always funny when people are clueless about things until you realize there’s no reason for me to know about base Fieros with iron duke engines or that they finally got them right in the 88 GT and Formula.
Jacob: Does anyone remember any space things in the 80s?
Space shuttle Challenger crew: Um...
Ahhh, the memories 🤪 “book em Danno” is Hawaii 5-0 I believe 🤣 We used to call Miami Vice the ‘sockless wonders’ but I still love the theme music! Cool idea, and a very daring outfit young man 👍🏻😉 x
And Don Johnson said they only went without socks because it was so hot! 😂
@@ilanarhian you’d think that socks might be a good thing in that weather, especially with closed shoes, a suit and bad guys to catch 😂 ahhh ‘fads’ some of the them will always be a mystery 🤣
@@jokermebad31 I know right 👍🏻 wasn’t Phil also used to great effect in some episodes of Magnum PI? Before ‘instant everything’ and the ability to download the world with our fingertips, I can fondly remember trying to get copies of my favourite theme tunes by recording them using my tape recorder 😂 everybody had to be really quiet or I’d have to wait till next week to try again 😂😂 xx
I HATED shoulder pads, even in the 80s I hated shoulder pads. I remember my mother taught me to make sure they were not in the lining of the shirt or jacket. That they were only velcroed in or stitched in with one or two stitches so they could easily be removed.
I share this memory of cutting the shoulder pads out of my sweaters. Otherwise I would have looked like a fridge.
This channel is absolutely the best channel ever.
The Best time to be a kid / teen!!☝👨📷🤣😎🎶😬 , We had 80' museum here in Philadelphia PA, but now it's Gone Forever!!👈 only 2 years here!!
Loved loved this wonderful video 🤗 Carpetbagger is a delight 👍👍
OMG I HAVE NEVER LAUGHED SO HARD at one of your videos. That was beyond awesome dude! RAD! So much fun and memories (i have quite a few years on you) I am going to suggest this to a local photographer for a theme for photos. I think it will go over well. LIKE TOTALLY !
ok, this might be my favorite Carpetbagger video ever. So much fun.
I appreciate all the music you had to add to avoid a copyright claim
"Book 'em Danno" was from Hawaii 5-0. Thanks for the nastalgia! I was born in 69 so I was In my prime in The 80s!
Ooh this place looks and sounds cool!
80’s Carpetbagger looks pretty rad dude! 🤙🏽
This place looks amazing. I'll definitely have to visit there my next time in the Dells.
You did a great job picking out your 80s gear Jacob! 👍🏽
Another awesome video! Loved the outfit. Lol! You crack me up! Keep up the great work!
Wasn't super interested in this when I first saw the notification, but 80s bagger made it so worth it. Never know what you're going to get with this channel, I love it.
OMG that was adorable! I was just in the Dells with my husband in May. Sorry we missed this attraction. Thanks for showcasing it! We’re going to cut check it out next time.
You picked a great outfit!! Love the headband! I live right there in Lake Delton and had no idea this place was there now! Fun video!
I can’t wait to send a video of you riding the ET bike to my friends and family without context.
This place is awesome. Those sears portrait studios made good pictures. I actually bought a rubik's cube still in the box last weekend at a yard sale for 3 bucks. I turned 11 in 1980 so that place is like going back in time for me. Lol
Great job with the thumbnail and outfit man you nailed it! I was a baby in the 80's but some of this stuff was 90's too
The thumbnail was magnificent.
Top tier meme quality
Keeping it real Jacob! Thanks from an 80s teen!
That is so cool and awesome
This was a funny video Jacob I salute you for getting involved 👏 👍👍👍👍👍
That was cool and amazing when you show me around this new place 😎🤘👌👍🥰💖✨.
Oh snap. I finally found the 80s episode. Thank you sir.
I’ve not seen a photo place with a 1980s theme. Very cool. Gnarly man
Fellow 1980 baby here!! This video was so much fun!! My 13 year old who worships all things 80's and me both loved this video! You rock Jacob!
Oh my gosh, Thank you for this video. I'm a mid 80's - 90's "kid". The Caboodle held allll the makeup, hair stuff and jewelry I needed. Now it holds craft stuff. Miami Vice was a never miss show with Crockett and Tubbs, and all the cars, bling and skin and embarrassing s*xy scenes with your parents in the room 😬😂. The newness of Mario and fighting with my little brothers to play it... so many good memories. Thank you for that and for being so interactive on your vids 💜, I giggled through most of this one and love all of them.
