All these people so serious. Who the hell cares, it's for fun. No shit you wouldn't run trials with it. Yall caught the ZoS bug. Want to remove everything from the game that has anything related to fun about it.
It's weird to play with this type of build... if you don't heal for a while and drop down to 50% health, usually I'd start panicking slightly, but with this build you still have 50k more health to go through lol.
I always enjoy making these types of builds. They may be selfish for PVE content, and not as viable for end-game tanking, but it's really fun trying to push a single stat as far as you can!
Nice. I tried the same sets a while back to get my imperial DK to about 70k health. Didn't consider using a transformation and might make a new character for this.
Even as a DK, you could do the vamp transformation if you wanted. The only negative about being a DK is there is no other percentage bonuses (like the NB or Sorc) to increase your health.
Love the build ❤.... using it right now.... for my own comfort i have kinda changed a few things here and there.... like same set... but mine revolves around shield rather than ultimate... and in off bar i use a veteshran shield and maul instead of plague doc for trash mobs pull after poping the large 45k shield... some people are skeptical of off meta build.... but i personally enjoy this build by alot 🙈
instead of ice staff u could use masters two handed and the other bone shield morph and a monster set that deal damage based on health and u got yourself a good pvp/solo pve build
I was talking with @L M and the lady thorn monster set is very powerful with this build. You can deal 20k burst AOE dmg when in goliath form, or 13.2k in human form. I was very disappointed to see some of the monster sets that scale with health don't scale that well (such as scourge harvester)
I have tried warrior poet and crimson twilight... big juicy burst heals that put out nice free damage. My day to day set is leeching, crimson and malicath... I can solo some older vet dungeons by just standing there
It is a great set for survival, probably my favorite! Although with the lack of DPS-Support roles, all the support sets are being pushed onto tanks and healers in hard content...which leads to less survival. I'm trying to start DPS-support roles back up, so the tanks can get better survival and healers get more heals out and not need to worry about carrying all of the buffs/debuffs for the groups :) But that's more for endgame type stuff, definitely fun to use though!
and honestly sometimes thats all you need. before they made vet frostvault easier, my groups members were wiping constantly due to the mechanics. I had to swap out my gear to only survival gear (plague doctor and leeching) so I can stay alive and revive the group members. we eventually did it because I would never die.
@@VENOMSURGE I have tried less health/healing selfish sets. In lots of vet dungeons I dont mind becasue i can solo the entire things... but you know sometimes doing randoms vet PUGs and you get one of the tricky DLC dungeons weher you kinda need a healer and at least average DPS... When one of those groupos isnt prepared and wipe... you think, well they have it figured out, we will get it this time. Then after another wipe or two... well you have invested too much time not to complete the dungeon. Sometimes the stars alighn and you get into a group that you simply cant carry. Honestly, I think the uncertainty is why I like to tank. Plus, the feeling of finishing off a boss after the group wipes is pretty awesome.
Very true, especially that feeling lol. I also love the feeling of the fact that a major enemy who has been a big threat and may even be close to being a god, and you are standing there taking all their attacks to the face and it doesn't even tickle lol. Tanks are for sure my favorite role
i run leeching plate and warrior poet on my necro tank. the high health and the health you get back from leeching plate makes it hard to kill and you have no struggle with keeping your health up.
I love using leeching, I haven't used it on a health build since I usually like to have at least one set benefit the group. My main tank uses Yolnahkriin and leeching combo
@@VENOMSURGE yeah what i run is considered a greedy set. but the way i look at is i can stay on my feet really easy and i keep multiple damage sheilds on the group and a few buffs with the skills i run so that im kinda making up for not running the group friendly set up. it works well on a dragon knight tank also.
I made a similar build on a templar, but without fully committing...u got quite a bit higher hp, haha. One note...since mag regen was low, the orzorgas food u skimmed over in your inventory could be really nice. Hella cheap, only about 1k less hp, and about 500 more mag regen. Fun build tho :)
I would definitely use a food that gives more regen...unless you don't use the skills that much. I was spamming the scythe more often than I could've. With this amount of health, it takes a while for you to get down to a low amount of health. 20% of your health is still about 20k health to go through, and one scythe attack can burst you back up 14-60k health depending on how many enemies you hit.
That is always an amazing feeling...having a character that is really tanky but also super fast, nothing can kill you and if you do get low just run away lol
You know recently I made my own utterly ridiculous Necro and its a breton magcro vampire stage 3 with its armor sets being the pearlescent word and the iron blood set on the body and jewelry only with them for the main bar you would have the destructive touch Arena staff and the back bar you can choose between the void bass that if you're in a group that requires a pull or if you're by yourself and simply just want more defense then you would go with the spectral cloak Arena set instead rebuild has major resolved, major and minor protection, major evasion, major and minor ageis, 20% extra reduction to damage over time, Ironclad, undeath, an extra 12% flame resistance from having to flame resistant jewelry pieces to cancel out the issue of being a vampire with Breton and the destructive touch staff being the other half of that equation, the pains Refuge CP Pointe, maxed out armor, major and minor maim, major and minor breach, major and minor vulnerability, mine are brittle and chilled, major brutality and sorcery, empower, an extra 13% damage mitigation from two specific necro abilities, up to 66% extra damage mitigation depending on the number of teammates you have that have died within your group, and on top of all of that there's a self-heal that heals you 1700 health a second and also provide the big burst he'll based on the number of enemies you hit with it making up for the final weakness of being a vampire.....
Beyond that if you want to run a monster set then you can simply instead run Leki's focus jewelry and weapons with as for the back bar I would still stick with spectral cloak and void bash to be swapped out based on the needs of whether or not you're playing Solo or in a group with this build gets like a consistent like 200% damage mitigation without any extra damage vulnerabilities applied to you and it's just fucking ridiculous and I love it and I've been literally soloing veteran hardmode bosses and taking basically no damage and that was back when my armor and weapons were only blue and not even purple... like I didn't even have half of the abilities I needed nor good rotation and I was already handling that shit way too well😂😂😂
ya know since i saw this vid i have been thinking about ways to maybe make something similar but perhaps even stronger with again go vamp with at least 2 truly superb flame resist glyphs for your jewlry with than stage 3 plus revealing flare in place of hex proof and wall of elements with of course than reavealing flair on both bars with than for your back bar you would go with dual blades and use the cloak of blades ability while using the spectral cloak arena set since that gives major evasion AND a unique 6% dmg mit buff for 2 seconds every 2 seconds when the cloak of blades sends out a dmg pulse and than as for the front bar you can either stick with what you got OR decide to switch heroic slash and pierce armor as well as likely bone shield with a ice staff so you can use wall of elements there instead and unerving boneyard for the major and minor breach with than you can throw on a charged trait and your choice of crusher or shock depending on if you wanna provide minor vulnerability or the crusher debuff but honestly since i would wager dps are likely to be using shock stuff, its probably the better call to go for the crusher glyph with than of course you would also use the ice staff taunt OR you could also go with the void bash shield if your willing to drop a piece of plaugebreak which is a blow to total hp but depending on how well you think you can handle trashpulls for your group could make that choice for ya. it wouldnt have major or minor ageis like my build but it surely wont need it with literally 4 times as much hp as my build which currently with purple gear and not specific enchants or traits i have chosen yet sits at about 33k hp XD
oh and i nearly forgot i think to mention that agony totem would be the backbar choice over blood altar so you get minor protection and provide minor protection to your group :D
oh and and acutally lastly, i would also run pains refuge since no hexproof plus curative mending pasive mean you acutally can make yourself WAAYYYY more durable by simply letting enemies debuff you :D
Obviously this build is merely to see how high of health you can push for the theme. I wanna try it then tweak it for damage/ sustain just to see what can be done.
The tooltip for Lady Thorn’s monster set proc must be insane with this healthpool. Another variation for the Gaze of Sithis could be the Death Dealer’s Fete
Great mention! Death dealer would be more viable as the block mitigation is important for your survival. I bet the tooltip would be nasty...although I was really disappointed with how badly the scourge harvester scaled. I get about the same number using a build with 50-60k health
@@VENOMSURGE Oh yea, the block mitigation helps a lot, even if you lose a bit of max hp changing from Gaze to Death Dealers (about 636 hp). About the Scourge Harvester, there is probably a hidden soft cap on the scaling. Have you checked the tooltip for Lady Thorn's proc with that high health pool? A friend of mine had a 50-60k hp tank that had an insane proc damage from it!
I just looked on the UESP skill calculator... since you'd be using a full monster set you do lose about 5k max health (due to percentages) without gaze of sithis. In goliath form, the lady thorn monster set would proc for 20,022 dmg! In human form it does 13,219 dmg.
....Thats suggesting anyone can complete that buggy ass mess of a fight..... but thats a single shot burst. Fine for Overland, not reliable at all for true DPS. Be better with constant tick-tocks from Leech Plate.
Oh for sure! That buggy circle in the end is heartwarming lol I suggested that cuz once we enter the weird world of hipster off-meta builds everything is welcome hahaha
It could still be strong but I don't think it will be as strong due to the lack of health based skills. They do have the ward that can give some healing but they don't have anything giving them max health and I can't remember any other health based skills. But yes you could probably get close to similar numbers using arcanist in the vampire ultimate :)
You could definitely run some of the vamp skills and have some interesting uses for them. While the Sated Fury skill is only used for DPS, it is an amazing heal when you have a build like this. If you can keep up enough heals or health regen to offset the health siphon, you can build up the burst heal to the point where it will burst heal you entirely full. One of my friends uses this in PVP and will hit it after a long time of being active and will get a 100k heal (even after the PVP 50-60% heal reduction).
Lady Thorn could be a great mix with this! AOE major maim as well as burst damage that's based off of your max health. If you don't have that DLC you could also do Shadowrend. It's a weaker version but you'd have more uptime and more DPS output :)
First off, there have been many changes to the amount of health the CP now gives, so we lost quite a bit from that. This also benefits the most if the entire set is golden, as the 10% increase from warrior-poet will give more returns depending on the base amount you already have. Are you also using the same green food that gives about 7k HP?
good build but warden healers give minor toughness so you wont need it in most group settings as most healers are warden(or templars). But its def a good mix to boost health but you can get something else!
I main as a Necro and I only play solo and I think it’s about time I leaned to play a role rather than DPS. I think this high health tank is gonna be my way to go. Also gonna make a Templar healer! Time to level up lol
Nice! Tank is by far my favorite role. It feels really good as you get better and develop your skills, one of the best feelings is going up to tank an enemy that you know is powerful and strong, yet it doesn't hurt you. Tanking sunspire is one of the best feelings I've ever had, next to completing an extremely hard dungeon as the tank! Hope you have fun down your tanking adventure!
Also as a side note, I've occasionally had some ideas to make a video on tips for tanking, healing, and dealing damage. Would that be something you'd like to see on this channel? Always open for more ideas from viewers :)
@@VENOMSURGE I’m a fan of all eso content brother! I enjoy your builds how you’ll absolutely inflate a stat like spell damage or health or whatever at the moment, using skills I’ve never heard before like bone surge, I made sure to always bone surge before ultimate ends. You said so many little things I didn’t know, like necrotic potency resetting after 6 stacks.
@@VENOMSURGE come to think of it bruh I do have a quick need for advice, so I’m CP 500, fairly experienced in all classes but new to roles, I can DPS and starting out as a tank, but never healed. I was just wondering when is the starting point for veteran dungeons? I’m trying to get some gear gear tired of the same old stuff, I just didn’t know when it was time to test myself, keep in mind I solo queue.
I most of my builds on PTS. If I were to do this on my real ESO account I'd be wasting tons of gold and hours. PTS has companion rapport increases/decreases depending on the testing you want to do with your companions. That's also why I seem to have 999,999,999 gold :)
Thats true, however I stuck with necro because of the goliath ultimate and one of the most powerful heals that are based on max health. You do also have a heal based on max health as a warden, but you are not able to get as high max health as you can when in goliath form. I originally started with the warden, but I actually only got about 4-5k more max health in human form compared to the necro
That is the entire point of my armor showcases, I am doing it for the fun aspect. There are hundreds of sets that never get to see the light of day (there are a lot that just generally suck) because most people know what sets you need to be a great tank/healer/DPS. So in my series, I randomly pick a set from anywhere in the game that not many people use, and try to make a fun build out of it that has a unique twist on it. Occasionally I will do some actual builds focusing on getting good stats, but I don't just want to pair the best sets with these bad sets and call the build good. It's all for the fun :)
I do most of my videos on the PTS, this gives me everything I need to make a build. Otherwise it'd take a very long time for me to grind up all the gear and resources for each of my builds :)
lol, everyone would be having a healthy amount of drinks, to the point it'd be un-healthy. You should always be careful of your health, you might need to go to the health department after that. Even the economic health of your wallet would be healthily un-healthy....lol
At first I thought this was a troll build for PvP but it's actually for PvE? But... Why? This provides no benefit to your group while at the same time takes away the biggest tool for surviving that a tank has, blocking...
No build is only for PVP or PVE, some things in the build may be more benefical in one or the other but it's up to you on how you use the build and how you make the build :) Because this is on PTS, there isn't many players to show off PVP content, so I can really only show PVE currently. That being said, I am working on leveling characters on the real server to make PVP builds to show you guys how these builds work. Although it will take some time, I mainly played ESO on xbox until recently, so I don't have many CP characters yet.
@@bryanbowen4193 also not entirely true because tank sets usually have buffs that aren't accessible by dps characters. I'd love to see your achievements to see if your game knowledge that you think you have lines up with that you can actually complete in game
Because fun builds are...fun XD Nowhere in the vid did he say this was meta, or ideal for endgame group PvE. It's a theory craft let's-see-what-happens-if kind of build. Calm yer tits, haha. Besides...if your dps needs buffing in a norm dun...u need more than a dps buff. 30k dps is more than enough to clear anything on normal.
@@dangrimes6200 and on that same note, you don't need anything over 40k hp for any dungeon even on vet. And my point wasn't about difficulty it was about efficiency. The whole dungeon would be over sooner with what I mentioned. This build is a waste of time and effort, you can cry about it all you want but it's a fact 😂
Never can understand why people think that high health is a good thing, but if you do this you aren't increasing dps. That leads to much longer fights, much more mechanics, and tons more wipes. Tanks and healers job is to buff the group. If anyone I'd seriously looking to do end game content, this isn't the way to go. I've tanked everything on a 300cp tank with 40k health. DD, IR, and Cloudrest. Nobody wants to see a tank in group with nothing but selfish gear.
True, this is definitely not an end-game build with it being so selfish. The series of builds I'm doing is looking at a specific set and trying to make an interesting/fun build out of it. I will be doing some 'real' builds on the side as well, but the set showcases are going to be more for fun.
Because people like to have fun with the game they spent their money on? It’s not a deep answer bud lol thank fucking god we aren’t forced to run only support sets on tanks otherwise I’d dropped this game.
So what you are telling me is the first time you started tanking, you had meta support gear? Because most content in the game doesn't need dps to be buffed and no one starts off with meta support gear. Why do you think people complain about fake tanks? Let people learn to tank and have fun running whatever they want. Most non trial content can be tanked in light armor running 20k health but that's not the point. You obviously know the content that requires a minimum health count for a specific mechanic. There's a progression. What about PVP? What is your support gear optimized for tanking in group play?
@@bryanbowen4193 See, I am a perfectionist, and I study anything before I do it. So, yes, I did have every support set available to me when I decided to tank. I did not have the best support sets, but I did take the time to find out what the best sets I could get straight away were. I believe my first two sets were Akaviri Dragons guard and Powerful assault.

Just remember that when using Sated Fury you won't be able to be healed by healers, so if you are running in PVE it may not be worth it as much.
if you did run a monster set which one would you run ?
Lady Thorn could be a great mix with this! AOE major maim as well as burst damage that's based off of your max health. If you don't have that DLC you could also do Shadowrend. It's a weaker version but you'd have more uptime and more DPS output :)
very nice thanks
Great job
Why am I only getting 54k without the gaze of sithis ???
First off, there have been many changes to the amount of health the CP now gives, so we lost quite a bit from that. This also benefits the most if the entire set is golden, as the 10% increase from warrior-poet will give more returns depending on the base amount you already have. Are you also using the same green food that gives about 7k HP?
damn nice build
nope
thank you! it was really fun to play. I just wish there were more skills that scaled with health :/
Nerco pvp tank 150k health that smacks 😜👀
good build but warden healers give minor toughness so you wont need it in most group settings as most healers are warden(or templars). But its def a good mix to boost health but you can get something else!
I main as a Necro and I only play solo and I think it’s about time I leaned to play a role rather than DPS. I think this high health tank is gonna be my way to go. Also gonna make a Templar healer! Time to level up lol
Update: just tanked my first dungeon and I felt incredible! Went smooth as can be! Just threw the skills on no gear yet
We just gonna ignore the companion rapper consumables he brushed by? Wtf are those?!
I most of my builds on PTS. If I were to do this on my real ESO account I'd be wasting tons of gold and hours. PTS has companion rapport increases/decreases depending on the testing you want to do with your companions. That's also why I seem to have 999,999,999 gold :)
I did this but with a resto staff for the extra buffs for me and team
Drop the monster run one trainee
And people told me i was crazy with a 100k health build xDD
U could also run a warden healer and switch warrior poet with another set for more health lmao
@@VENOMSURGE no i meant with a warden in your group you would get up to 126k in goliath form
I mean it's kinda funny for giggles but why go there when you can easily do all the content with 40k health and buff your group XD
115k @ 3 times more than a normal person @ zenimax said that in game not a tank meta...
How you got lowkey 1billion gold??
I do most of my videos on the PTS, this gives me everything I need to make a build. Otherwise it'd take a very long time for me to grind up all the gear and resources for each of my builds :)
I want to use this to troll in pvp🤣🤣🤣
Nice build for no die easy and no kill nothing.
Sounds like a tank so yeah
Nice build but make one that you don’t need 1000000 cp! 😂
shield and icestaff with gaze of sithis ..............
while the gaze of sithis does get rid of blocking mitigation, we still need the skills that those lines provide to fill the role as a tank :)
Drinking game , drink everytime he says health .
lol, everyone would be having a healthy amount of drinks, to the point it'd be un-healthy. You should always be careful of your health, you might need to go to the health department after that. Even the economic health of your wallet would be healthily un-healthy....lol
Don't understand the point of this 😂
No sense with this
At first I thought this was a troll build for PvP but it's actually for PvE? But... Why? This provides no benefit to your group while at the same time takes away the biggest tool for surviving that a tank has, blocking...
No build is only for PVP or PVE, some things in the build may be more benefical in one or the other but it's up to you on how you use the build and how you make the build :)
Because this is on PTS, there isn't many players to show off PVP content, so I can really only show PVE currently. That being said, I am working on leveling characters on the real server to make PVP builds to show you guys how these builds work. Although it will take some time, I mainly played ESO on xbox until recently, so I don't have many CP characters yet.
Fun build that's all this is, Not really viable in real hard mode content.
Yeah especially since the helm knocks block to zero
No themed builds are. Looks like a great fun build to try.
What's the point? You only need like 30-40k health for any content and now your not buffing your group at all? This builds are silly.
Because most content in the game doesn't need the tanks buffs if dps knows how to do their rotations and self buffs.
@@bryanbowen4193 that's already assumed, which in turn means that more buffs from the tank equals more damage
@@VENOMSURGE
You don’t have to explain yourself as you’re going to end up doing this everytime you post a selfish tank build lol
You never said what race you were using…..Imperial…Nord…Breton?
healthpool doesnt matter.. in pvp. ppl would animation skip 2x3 heavy attacks during their normal rotation and "one hit" you anyway... broken dogshit game
builds like this is the reason i dont play pvp
